I and my fiance have been together for sometimes but the i played as SINGLE and likewise she did too but why i sent my forms earlier was that she wanna finish her study first here before she can travel so we agreed for me to go first and we can arrange the wedding after her school which will make her to come to me later on. But now am confused coz i dont wanna leave her behind and at the same time i dont wanna do sometime that can disqualify the process...MY QUESTION NOW IS THAT , CANT OUR NEW FORMS AFTER THE WEDDING GONNA MEET UP WITH THE FISCAL YEAR APPOINTMENT AGAIN?... thanks for been there.

Extenuating circumstances such as; you have been married or had a child after the initial application submission may be acceptable. If you meet either of these circumstances a photocopy of the marriage and/or birth certificate, along with English translations, should be provided with the completed forms. If you need to obtain additional DS 230 Parts I & II forms, you may download them at: http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/forms/forms_1342.html .

And this is the second reply
"When a new baby is born at the interview take the following
1. Take the visa photo for it
2. Take the original birth certificate and relevant documents
3. Fill the visa application for the baby
4.Be ready to pay for the baby's visa fee."
Please can somebody help me to interprete this more because am about to send the form and passport of my new born baby girl. Thanks for your earliest reply.

Do we need change of name publication?

Yea, i used my hubby's name in filling d formz... as my surname
nd put d name i played with i.e my father's name as my maiden name..
nd i enclose with a written letter for change os status.
i av not done any publication yet.
so wife should fill with ur family name, nd put her surname as maiden name.
just attach a copy of a letter or photocopy of ur marriage cert wen submitting, so they will b aware of her status.

Obatide: In addition to what kevwe and others have said,
Lets take a practical approach, believing that you get married before the result was released? if so then
When you fill ds 230 and 122 with a new name as a result of status change (Attach a note and if possible marriage certificate)
also when sending it, you need to quote the information as they appear on winning notification i.e

Case No: 2014........
Full Name (as appeared in her notification, which is her maiden name and other names):
Date of Birth:

I believe its after receiving your forms that they will update your status change (marital name), but something must link them to the original information of the principal applicant.

jigga40: Go to the school you wrote WAEC you can collect it there cos they normally send d cert over!

prosperadewunmi: it depend if is MAY/JUNE WEAC you will go and collect it 4rm the school you wrote the exam, but if is WEAC GC you will go and collect it 4rm WEAC office is @ OGBA when you get to OGBA bus-stop just ask any body dat you are going 2 WEAC Office is nt far to the bus-stop.I don't no the cost but it should not more than 2k If is WEAC office hope this help

Obatide: someone once said A FORM OF IDENTIFICATION is necessary, and don't forget to review G2Glory's advice on water proof stuff (just an advice though)
Just an advice, especially if you are not residing in Lagos, there is facility to check if your visa is ready before traveling down here.

gokman4u: Don't bother yourself tracking d Visa
Jst call the phone number on that Visa collection paper
Its GSS(DHL) call centre phone number
Get ur name, international passport number and the date u had successful intervw at the US embassy ready wit u when u call.
You will be reliably informed the status of ur visa by the agent that picks ur call.
However don't 4get that u need 2 wait five(05) working days after the date of ur intervw before ur visa becomes ready.
During my time,I waited 5 working days after d date of my intervw before I called d contact centre number and the customer care agent that picked my call informed me the visa was ready.
Its better you call to confirm before going there especially if u are not based in Lagos

Firewami: pls house, after filin form ds 230 and 122 wit my wife new family name and indicating her maiden name which was used to play d lottery for her as a single. i then scanned the filled form and passport photograph to KCC, d response i got is 'the information u have provided does not match the case,pls supply d correct information' . After some few clicks she smiled and told me congratulations and welcome to USA. By the way, the CO was an african american (beautiful lady!)...so I guess my mind was not in the questions being asked ... she then gave me 2 papers (1 for visa pick up, the other USCIS payment).

I forgot to inform you guys that my interview date was shifted. It was initially billed for October 31st, however, I received a call informing me of the new date of 13th Nov... I was a bit annoyed because I felt a mail should have been used to back up the call (for me that was standard going by my training). so i mailed them that same day...the response i got was stunning...I was told I could not reschedule a date after the date advised (13th) and if i missed the interview that would be all. waiting be dis, see me see wahala, na me beg u say make u shift am?...was so furious so I almost sent a stinker mail to them...but after persuasion from my friend and colleague, I dropped the idea...

The cab that took me there had no bright head light... was scared wen we got to 3rd mainland and the whole place was dark...this was arnd 4.45...@bukiemma I tink I have tried...need to get back to work!

A unique seven-, eight- or nine-digit number assigned to a noncitizen at the time his or her A-file is created. The 9-digit U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services number listed on the front of Permanent Resident Cards (Form I-551) issued after May 10, 2010, is the same as the Alien Registration Number. The A-number can also be found on the back of these Permanent Resident Cards.

1.Log on to d website
2.Create an account on d site using ur email
3.Proceed to make d paymnt for ursef and or other members of d family(a.)banks account details(for those that operate foreign account) OR (b.)using plastic card (credit,debit cards etc)I used my Gtb mastercard Naira & its very easy & efficient.
Enter ur informatns on d card
1. The card holder name
2.Card number(set of long range of number @ d front of d debit card)
3.Enter d security number of ur card(3-digit number @ d back of ur card)
4.Click "next or continue " once 2 avoid being debited more than once
5. U then get a payment confirmation receipt in pdf format.
6. Print out d receipt & Keep for ur personal record.

Obatide: Though your question goes to those who have been interviewed, but before they respond, may I try to answer with my little understanding of your question? (though, I pray to have successful interview too very soon)
To start with, beneficiaries are not mandated to submit their evidence of education but if you have it handy, no crime
Also, for Principal Applicant whose certificate is mandated, it is stated that proof/evidence of completion of 12years of education (bolded), which means if you are submitting GCE (being an external exam), a testimonial will be considered but if NECO, WASSCE or Any approved internal exams, Testimonial is not compulsory

XYZZ: Please house, for those who are waiting for their interview and those who are waiting for their 2NL, please I beg you fill free to ask any question if you have any challenges or if you need assistance towards your preparation. We that have gone for our interview are in better position to answer questions,they are many people here who will assist. For the fact that u won the lottery and they sent u r 2NL means that they have allocated a visa for. So please always say the truth no matter how stupid the truth is. Go and take ur visa.....
