faithman2020: my bros it very easy,just like you have been using ur ATM.I just use the machine with my card and I was not charged for any foriegn transaction. you re only charged if you re using different debit card with the machine. it will tell you your dollar equivalent of your a\c even the exchange was like 160 to $1 I just left $10 in the a\c. And you can open an account with your Nigeria passport right before your SSN arrive as they promise to update when the SSN comes out.

could you confirm pls, if Interswitch/Verve card could be used there or only mastercard?

For children below 14 years. The consultation fee is 7k. Anybody above 14 years pay 12K as consultation fee.

The children that we paid 31K was close to 2 years while those one 5-8 years we paid 6,500 naira for vaccination (we went there wit their immunization records). For adult we paid 2k for vaccination.

Ensure you go there with photocopy of your biodata page(all of you), photocopy of medical records & 2 passport photographs & be ready to pay your consultation fee at Zenith bank (Awolowo Rd branch, opposite barrack) is very close. Please ensure your run copies of your medical records to save time.

Please prepare to spend sometime there as it might be challeging at times with those people there, !!!!!!lol!!!!!!!!. We got there as early as 6am & not allowed to drive bc they inform that they start attending to people by 8am but it cools & they allow us in later.

We are unable to use POS that day & we got to make payment for consultation fee at Zenith bank, other payment is made there.

Do not forget to register your name as you enter because you will be attended to based on that list.

Congratulations for the success story. Just to make few equiries bc my family is due to visa interview few weeks time.

1) Do they allow children food like snacks or biscuit tem?
2) Was the police report sealed in an envelope bc it was not sealed when given to us.
3) Do we need photocpies of the police report?


& For those planning medical, we did our own at Children Practice (Ikoyi) & fixed charge are : Adult (12k) & Children (7K), other charges depend on the vaccination to be performed. Please ensure you give more 2 days to complete your medicals (our exprience was that they could not give us the result for children 48 hrs after the test & we have to pick it up the following day after wasted tangible time).

It is advisable to go there with volumes of medical history for children (vaccination, immunization, etc).. it realy saved us a lot while one of my children that has incomplete immunization recored cost us additional 31k.

principo: we spent a round figure of 80k for four of us.would av spent more because we didn't take the children back with us when we went for d result so they could do the reading of the substance that was injected into their hands.this reading was to enable them know if they require further vaccine.we were asked to start all over again with their medicals but we found favour in the eyes of one of the nurses who helped checked their data n discovered that they do not need further vaccines.she cleared us b4 the doctor n their result was finally printed out.so,please make sure they are through with the kids before u keep them at home.Also go with their vaccination record,it will save you some money.

8am-at the medical centre Naples I did all the required stuff and vaccination (2 vaccines)
2pm- at the General consulate for digital fingerprints.Went through security checks and then we were ushered in.Getting inside,I took my sit and waited for my number to be called and after 10 minutes "number 5, numero 5" I heard, immediately I stood up and walked to the window. "Passport and interview letter please" she asked ; quickly I submitted them.She looked at the passport and the computer and she talked to her colleague then she turned to me saying "I'm sorry we technically can't take your fingerprints today because we don't have authorization yet from the U.S, tomorrow please come 7:30am and we will do it before your interview."
Day 2: 6:45am I arrived at the General consulate looking at the Mediterranean sea with U.S. soldiers outside patrolling around the consulate looking for the next bin laden; we went through same security protocols and finally in the hall again with 16 persons and I was the only African and the only dv winner so I was the first to be approved in Italy this fiscal year.
I took my sit and waited for my number to be called and it got to my turn I submitted the documents and she asked if I had any document from my university fortunately I was with my student handbook for credits exams and grades registration.She took it and then we did the fingerprints and she gave me an envelope(containing medical results and x-ray in a disc ) coming from the medical centre saying " give this to the officer when you get to the U.S. " .I went further with the payment of the visa fee which was 264 EUR and then I took my sit again.The interview started and it seems pregnant women and families with babies were called first.
finally it got to my turn and I stood up approaching the window I thought I saw Peter crouch because they look similar.I did fingerprints again and then the oath.

Each applicant will need to obtain an original birth certificate issued by the official custodian of birth records in the country of birth, showing the date and place of birth and the parentage of the applicant, based upon the original registration of birth. Submit to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate at your interview. Important Notice: All Immigrant Visa applicants must submit a long form original birth certificate. Short form birth certificates will not be accepted.

The certificate must contain the:

Person's date of birth;
Person's place of birth;
Names of both parents; and,
Annotation by the appropriate authority indicating that it is an extract from the official records.

And lastly, pls in the DSP-122 form number 3, we were asked to write our current mailing address( Address at which we receive our mail ) which should be accurate... But the problem now is that, since we don't receive our notificatiion via mail except E-mail, which one should be filled in? Is it the mailing address or the E-mail address...

Sir, the birth attestation is strictly for those who were given birth to prior to 1992 and you can get it in any state other than your state of origin in Nigeria.
In the DSP 122, I think they refer to your physical address, so put you mailing address there and you may add your e-mail address too.

Ds office regrets to inform u dat it's unable to issue a visa to u becuse u've been found ineligible. After careful review of ur application, it has been determined dat u filled out the application incorrectly. You are therefore not eligible to participate in the DV program.

I"ll got home with bad mood, I deside 2 inform my lawyer and she said we shld appeal.

The first mail my lawyer sent 2 america embassy, ds is deir response below>

Thanx u 4 ur email regardin d diversity visa application 4 (Abiola A. Onala). Accordin to our records, ds case is closeed, his original DV lottery entry was not properly filled in conformance with the rules and regulation of d DV program. He is thefore ineligible 4 a DV visa.
The Diversity visa lottery does not allow 4 refusal appeal. The refusal by a consular officer cannot be overtumed. We regret dat our response cannot be more positive.

My lawyer reply dem again dat dey shld point out were the applicant isn't filled properly...Ds is deir respond below>

We av reviewd the photos in ds case and can assure u dat he was not disqualified becuse of his haircut. That only a minor discrepancy among several in the two photo. Howrever. If ur client would like to return to us 4 one more review, we will be glad to see him again. He shld bring d photo he originally submitted to kcc with him, along with his academic credentials.
Dat said, if he can show dat he is the same pson, we will be glad to take anoda look @ his case. Is he available Monday, August 5, at 9:am

Back to your question, CN of 16** is current in October according to the visa bulletin.
However, appearing for interview is a function of Submission of forms to KCC and further processing of same by them, which will be confirmed by 2NL. but if you are yet to get yours, it may be that yous submitted late, just be patient untill you get ur 2NL or contact them via kccdv@state.gov or call them.

you still have good time to collect your certificate @ waec office, but if difficult, get online card ready at your interview for them to verify ur result online.
With ur case no: 6***, you are current in november.
However, i will advice you to join 2014 tread so as to help each others like 2013 tread did to achieve resounding success.

Just be prayerful & ensure u av a strong reason to convince the C.O of d inconsistency.
Pls henceforth, avoid inconsistency in signature cos pple might think u av fraud intention.
