Darhmee: hanks for the well wishes and prayers e-family.. God bless u all tremendously. G2Glory: Did they collect your original WAEC result & not return it back to you? Ours was returned except for NPC attestation & police report that was collected. Please be sure and clarify. If you have reconfirmed as outlined by G2glory and sure its with them, Send mail to LagosIV@state.gov you may say for the 'attention of Visa Chief', then describe the window where you were interviewed and tag number. kennex89: hello bro, from what you are saying it means that you were married and had a child before you played the lottery and you went ahead to play as single. is that it?It's not me bros. I quoted those stuffs from those links and using them as reference in replying @Ajibiola's question. Thats why I quoted his first Hope you get it now? |
ajibiola: House pls what can i do? I play single but am married my frnd play it 4 me in October but av done my wedding b4 he play it & my wife insisted we go 2geda.I Found this experience of someone in other thread, it may be useful in answering your question. wishing you God's guidiance in this delicate scenario, pls read and see if you can make something out of it: olivialuv: Dear visa officer, I want you to enlighten me on a denied visa condition because my dv lottery visa was denied, I was told in the embassy on interview day(last week 9th oct) that my wife and child was not included in my application which I argued with the VO but in vain . My invitation letter stated my beneficiary which include my wife and child and I sent their Ds 230 form to the KCC after putting a call across that the initial form I sent was omitted with my wife and child form at point of dispatch at the currier center , I was told to write letter attached the form with the winning notice and send it back to KCC which I did but to my surprise the VO said they did not see it , the question remain that , the VO said I did not include my family and they saw only my form yet I was denied under section 212a(5)a tag "improper filling " yet they collected 3 visa fee . Pls how can I go through this , is there way out? Thanks.https://www.nairaland.com/newpost?post=18799108&topic=1359935 and VisaOfficer: Greetings! Here's the thing: You state that your wife and child were omitted from your initial form / entry. That means that your entry could not qualify. You must include your spouse and all minor children at the time of your initial entry, or you cannot qualify for a Diversity Visa.https://www.nairaland.com/newpost?post=18882574&topic=1359935 and Visa officer said VisaOfficer: When we do a DV interview, we can see the original entry (photo[s] and all information) in the computer system. If the officer said your wife was not included, the officer would have been looking at your original entry. I'm not sure what to tell you.https://www.nairaland.com/newpost?post=19154356&topic=1359935 Lets hear your feed back after reading the above and see if there could be additional Information, but above all these, Darmhe's testimony shows that there is nothing GOD cannot do with prayers Hope I dont board you? |

timimoyegun: The NPC office is @ Babs Animashaun in Surulere area of Lagos but I'm not sure of any Law CourtProf ke? we are all rubbing minds ooooo, Learning day by day too. You and @Lagbabe have already gave best advise to him, Just in Addition, Pls take more than 3 passoprts for all because federal High court collect 2 for affidavit from me and NPC collected 2 as well. For Direction, I took IJESHA, along Mile2 express road, board a bus to AGUDA and Marwa (Napep) to NPC at the same address, it costs #100 to #120 from IJESHA to the NPC office. Hope it helps? |
kevwe_flex: Good afternoon house. Please I want make a suggestion. We all did not meet here by mistake or chance, I believe it's orchestrated by the Most High that we have to know one another here at this time. Many have come and gone especially after successful interview, they jet out and are too busy most times to say hi. It's not that they don't want to say hi, but like I wrote, they are too busy. From this, I wish to suggest that we try as much as possible to connect with one another, I know some of us have already, but it would be great if we continue to remain as one family. Nairaland is the platform with which we all knew ourselves at the instance of winning the DV lottery. Wouldn't it be lovely also if we continue to see each other after now, drop lines via the various social media, share business ideas after now in the USA? We would all be one strong indivisible family of class of DV 2014 family. Have reunions in the States. I'm sure it would be wonderful. What say you guys in the house? If you agree, click like and send PMs to members to connect.Good suggestion This has been on my mind too Guess you have seen pix of Thanksgiving party held in Texas where most of 2013 people in Texas were hosted by Jejelady? Seeing Gentiger,Temmytanny,neroxp,Roodboy,Gunners4u,Jejelady herself and others, it's awesome. I believe by 2014 Thanksgiving party, we will also be there. Amen For all members who have secured their visa and are traveling very soon, Pls, be ready to host us and share with us what will benefit us, so that we will be well prepared when coming too. |
lagbabe: not current yet,CN is 96**,going as a family too;me,hubby nd our Lil sunshine. You are welcome, God will see us all through |

But now that we are marriedIf you get married Legally, all documents after marriage will bear her new Surname. So, I will advice she use her marrital SURNAME Hope it helps? |
powerfuljc: Good day forumites,so sorry for that, I belive its an oversight. Do you confirm that they received your form? If no, mail kccdv@state.gov to enquire about the status of your submitted forms quoting FULL NAME, DATE OF BIRTH & CASE NUMBER, whenever you mail them or you may call them. Once they confirmed that (if yes), relax your mind and prepare your documents, once ur 2nd NL comes, time seems to be flying.(my thoght tho) Hope u r okay now? |
lagbabe: Obatide, are u current yet?if u are,wen is ur interview?are u going for interview as single or family?Im current in November and my interview is in December. I will be going as a family. may I know about yours? |
Outstandingsand: PLEASE SOMEONE SAY SOMETHING.. I have a birth certificate that was issured in 1990 under oyo state gov by a local gov registrer, it has my parents name n mine on it.. n its a little more than 1/2 of an A4 paper. Please is it still acceptable?Your question has been answered Severally, in the process of this Dv Lottery, investing more time to read and go extral mile in searching for information cannot be over emphazised. So follow previous post on that subject matter pls, and you will be glad you did. In summary, to be at safer side, DO the NPC ATTESTATION. hope you are not offended sir? |
Boomshakar: House, please is it compulsory to attach the affidavit to my NPC certificate of birth? If you meant for interview, Its not compulsory But if it is to process NPC in Lagos, it is compulsory Hope it helps? |

Once again 'Jejemama', u re welcome |
Scopx: pls help the email address i used to my fill my form has been locked by yahoo nd i cant send nor receive mail wat shud i doSimple. Firstly, put your mind at rest. E-mail is just a means of alert when 2nd NL arrived, so I will advice you to open another e-mail address, use it to communicate with them to confirm they don't require any further information on the forms you submitted, and Check the site (www.dvlottery.state.gov/ESC) where you printed your first notification from on a regular basis, that's where your APPOINTMENT/INVITATION SCHEDULE will be. Hope you get it? |
candytos: I see your predicament, I am advising you to use the correct age, which is what you have sent in the forms, do not change it as that is what is on her certificates and passports and birth certificate I believe. Tell your sister to tell the CO the truth at the interview if the CO raise an issue on it, tell him that an agent applied for her and made the mistake of putting wrong DOB and place of birth, They understand and know agents help people to apply and mistakes are made and they do not make issues on it so long u tell the truth. Believe me we give this people too much credit they will not note or see this difference in DOB or place of birth not to talk of raising issues about it. Tell ur sis that the visa is hers IJN amen. u will surely testify on her behalf IJN amen. You have spoken well bro. We are blessed to have you in the forum, for me, I read more of older posts these days as my interview is approaching. You know, a kind of revision ![]() @ Biggie1o2, Let the person input correct details now that you have opportunity to do so. this will avert future conflicts and be prepared to explain to convince the C.O on interview day. God will Favour all of us |
Atandaishola794: Forumites thanks for your numerous sound advises. I have statutory age declaration certificat e obtained from a high court since 1987. This is what i have been using for all my transactions. Do i still need to obtain the NPC birth certificate for this interview? House pls i need a response. God bless u all IJN. Yoggybear: That's what's required for dv visa lotteryI beg to disagree sir, unless you can prove this. Check opinion of other members relating to the issue below: G2Glory: Beloved, my candid advice is fo you to get the NPC attestation of age. I am not sure if that delaration of age is accepatble (pls read the requirement). It will cost you just between 2,500 & 4,000 naira.posted @ https://www.nairaland.com/1275397/dv-2014-winners-meet-here/154 and Obatide: 1. Each applicant will need to obtain an original birth certificate issued by the official custodian of birth records in the country of birth, showing the date and place of birth and the parentage of the applicant, based upon the original registration of birth. Submit to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate at your interview. Important Notice: All Immigrant Visa applicants must submit a long form original birth certificate. Short form birth certificates will not be accepted.posted earlier @ https://www.nairaland.com/1275397/dv-2014-winners-meet-here/63#17932633 then, kevwe_flex: Sure, you are right bro. It's an investment.and many others if you could read previous posts. In view of all these, Mr. Atandaishola794, I will advice you to invest little more time to read what is on their site @ http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/visa_4760.html and make your choice @Yoggybear, Dont be offended pls, I just feel he should be properly guided. |
I came across this, and felt it could be beneficial to some mates here, expecially for people who WON this DV Lottery and have stable Job(s) here in Nigeria (Or at least, 'okay' in Nigeria) and are contemplating on choice to make. https://www.nairaland.com/1518684/relocate-america-keep-lecturing-job happy reading |
Doublegold: Pls, which documents am i expected to take with me for medicals and police report. Gurus in da hauz, respond pls TCPonly: You do not need to fill any download form, they will give you form to fill.In addition: Int'l passport, and its photocopy, previous medical records if any, and most importantly Cash or ATM, not sure if they will collect cheque ![]() |
lagbabe: dis is a very handy piece,as if u knew the issue I was battling with on my system in the office, dis came in pretty handy cos I was about posting this as an issue for me as am the principal applicant nd I dnt want any issue.Tanx so much.I would advice you do it now. Its also advisable to get every other documents intact except MEDICAL & POLICE REPORT to ease your stress whenever your 2nd NL arrive. Even if possible, Get your $330 processing fee ready in Dollars too, all these will ease your tension when you are current. My opinion tho |
Today is Thanksgiving day in U.S Happy Thanksgiving to Everybody, It's my Prayer that by next year's Thanksgiving anniversary, we will all be in U.S celebrating too |
apex555: I am one of the luck winners of DV 2014 I send my form 2 kcc on 3rd June 2013 my case no is 127** I just join dis thread and I have go true few out the comment you guy are reallllllyyyyyyyyy doing a gr8 job God bless you all IJN.my question is this.Congratulations and welcome to the thread. First of all, I will advise u read more of what people have posted on the thread from page 1, You will be doing yourself more good doing that. For question no. 1. Ensure Your birth attestation bears all those names, with that, you are good to go. 2. Affidavit will be okay for that and your ability to convince the C.O that its an honest mistake.(read Jannut testimony today) 3. I'm not in position to say that your O'level has K leg, but be prayerful. Don't you av up to 5 credits on that Neco? At least any subject to make it 5? Do feed us back please, believing it help a bit |
larry7ng: hello my ppl,pls what could be delaying my 2NL since august,my case no is 25** ,we sent our DS forms since Aug till now no 2NL and the msg from KCC was like ''your forms have been recieved and pending further embassy review for the continuation of your visa processing. KCC is currently scheduling visa numbers for your region for the month of January'' pls could dis mean they have skipped our case no and if not do we still stand a chance to be scheduled? if yes when is it likely? pls i knw you r not a consular but someone with similar case could attend to my questions.Pls worry less, God, who has started it will definitely complete it. It takes KCC between 6 to 8 weeks to complete processing of submitted forms according to their official response most times, but it could be more than or less in actual sense, though, mostly more than the 8 weeks. Since you have confirmed that your forms have been received, relax yourself and prepare your documents ready for interview, don't wait till 2nd NL arrive b4 u start preparing pls. Note that No amount of worry and Anxious can bring 2NL, don't give urself high BP to avoid children practice saying they see something in your chest ![]() |

kevwe_flex: Although not related, but just for our information. See desperado: http://247nigerianewsupdate.com/sfu-arrests-five-for-visa-fraud/Good one bro. Lessons: Dont be too desperate Be sure of the source of Any Documents You are procuring/presenting Gather as much info as you can instead of presenting documents that are fake Finally, beware or AGENTS/TOUTS Visa Officer said this sometime ago: VisaOfficer: Thank you! We don't mind ALL the touts. Sometimes touts are useful, especially for people who don't have internet access. We are very much opposed to touts who are only in it for the money and who take advantage of honest applicants, though.
