Well, i am in canada and i am talking from my iwn perspective. What I said above has been working for me. Feggie3: Lol Are you in which country? What do you know that you think they don't know? If there is competition in a place, and a manager tends to favour or listen more to a particular faction, isn't the system already compromised?
In my own case, if you are in a less favoured faction and you have shown high level of knowledge, the manager may be scared of you and may easily want to get rid of you so you don't raise an alarm. |

Well, i believe the racism of a thing is more prominent in one man or small scale businesses, jobs I've never done here before. From my experience with structured organizations, racism can cost the company a fortune, so there are strict laws against it. And as i have said, you must know your onions. Oyibo wont respect you for being you, but they'll respect you for your knowledge. Feggie3: You can't challenge your employer not even by showing him how smart you are. If there is any narrative against your skin colour in an organisation, you must learn how to thread carefully except you are ready to get the sack. From my experience, atimes they may prefer their own skin who is a novice and offer him training opportunities than you who is highly skilled black. It is an individual preference though. Sometimes they are sneaky and do pass false narratives against maybe because of cultural differences and diversity. You may want to vocalise your dissatisfaction but you must ensure you have where else you can feed from when they systematically give you a reconstructive dismissal. They are smart and witty. Mind you, not all of them are like that though. That is why I said they racists amongst them. They just behave like tribalists. Someone can just hate you for no reason. From the nature of your hair, to your accent, to your masculinity or your dark complexion. Infact they just prefer to be with their own irrespective of your gestures. Same thing with tribalists. Nothing much shaa!! |

Your last part is not totally true. As a black person, you'll be challenged by these oyibo anywhere you get to, especially if youre their boss. But as soon as they realize that you're smart and know what you're doing, they shrink back into their shell and respect you. The problem with most of our people is that they already assume that oyibo has more sense than them and that they can't challenge them. If you cross my lane as oyibo professionally, I show you wotowoto sharp sharp. I can assure you that if you're yoruba who needs something from a federal parastata in abuja, the ethic racism you'll experience from a hausa man in the office is worse than the nationalistic racism from oyibo. Feggie3: These white people will talk to you and treat you like a slave. A nobody.
And you will be aware that through out your whole existence in Nigeria nobody ever spoke to you this way. I know you will say that you are interested in the money. But trust me working for a racist who obviously hates you is like being a young female in a toxic relationship. That's the feeling. You can't even talk or have a say!!
RACISM is real... It's worse than what you may imagine. You just have to readjust and learn to live with a bruised ego for the rest of your life. |

I earned exactly this amount 3 years ago while in nigeria before i relocated to Canada. Since I've been here, I've changed my car three times in 3 year, cars that included a Dodge Durango, a car in range rover category, all purchased cash and not on loan or credit. If you're relocating just because of money, you're getting it totally wrong. Have you ever asked yourself why those ruling Nigeria or in the corridors of power, have a form of dual citizenship or have somehow lived in some of these western countries before? No one says immediately you land in canada that one big office is waiting for you. If you are smart enough to make 500+k in nigeria, especially as salary, i can tell you that you jave what it takes to be successful in canada in a matter of a short period. My two cents is, if you want to travel, travel. If you feel nigeria is good for you, stay back. Everyone's measure of comfort and success differs, and whatever yours is determines the decision you will make. I don't know where you guys get the idea of being a slave from, as if you're not a slave to your employer or boss in Nigeria. If you know how many Nigerians are in top positions here in canada, the word slave wouldn't be an adjective to defend your decision not to travel. Myself and this lady who posted this video everyone is commenting on chatted on Instagram, and i can assure you that if you listen to her advise and not come to canada, she herself will call you an idiot. smasher1: She's right. Why would someone earning above 500k monthly with free medical (insurance), possibility of a higher pay(promotion) or new job etc leave Nigeria to be a slave. I won't ever do that no matter the issues, no 247 light, insecurities etc. I won't contemplate it. |

Cooolme: I just complained about her snubbing my messages, don't know how you people turned it to me begging her for money. I'm not even abroad yet and I can say I receive worse Billings. It's all around not just limited to y'all abroad. I don't know who else may be billing her but as for my fam, they prefer billing me instead and I most times deliver if I have. I am 100% sure you have many people in your contact that haven't communicated with you for months. If there's no anterior motive to your wanting to be in touch with her, then why are you so pained that she's snubbing you, blocking her and utmost bringing her matter to a social media platform. Let her be, live your life as if she doesn't exist and stop worrying about someone making a life for herself not communicating with you. |

Biola67: You said you now have more than enough to even send her. Dem no like who dem no Dey feed.. you gerrit? I am abroad and this is not true. It just becomes annoying when you look at your phone everyday and all you see is request for money from different people. It becomes most annoying when you're most likely sleeping or just waking up to see such messages when you look at your phone first thing in the morning. Usually those sending such messages don't put time difference into consideration. As much as someone abroad is willing to help, those being helped should not be entitled. Those abroad too should learn not to create an avenue for dependence. Relationships are meant to be mutual, not parasitic. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Droupadi Murmu: So The President Of India Is A BLACK Woman! Wonderful. by obayemi204(m): 3:23pm On Sep 10, 2023 |
Read the Bible book of Esther Chapter 1 verse 1. Quintessence44: SHE IS A BLACK WOMAN.
The first Indians were BLACK AFRICANS. In fact the ancient Greek scholar Herodotus, around the year 450 BC, referred to India as ''the other Ethiopia''.
Of course, 'Ethiopia' was the name the ancient Greeks gave to all Africa south of the Sahara.
The Africans, many (but not all) of whom were from the Horn of Africa, migrated to India on ships, and established Indian civilization, as well as the first empires of India 3,000 years ago.
They are now known as the Dravidians in India.
The Dravidians after a few thousand years of dominance were overran by Aryans from the north, which led to their current population constitution whereby the south of India is mostly black/brown while the north is lighter skin coloured, plus various shades in between caused by intermarriage and racial mixture. |

Open the Bible and read Esther Chapter 1 verse 1. It helped me understand how we have black indians. GYBABA: Jeez, she's an Asian that's just dark skinned probably due to been exposed to harsh weather conditions or her genes are responsible. Attitudes like hers aren't just developed, they're learned. Her name is Elizabeth Folake Cambage. Her Australian mum divorced her nigerian dad when she was very young. A big question to ask her is that, what has her mum told her about Nigeria and Nigerians over the years that turned her to hate Nigerians so much? And if you check all her playing history and records, she was never in any team for more than a year at a stretch throughout her Profesional career. I believe that says a lot about the kind of attitude she possesses. |

Na the oyibos wey dem flog build their country. Tjose wey dem no flog don dey ruin am already. The shootings in the US, mostly by undisciplined teenagers is a typical example. Mindlog: No, disciplining a toddler should not involve flogging.
In as much as some Nigerians do "glorify" the beatings (some qualifies as near murder as brutality was normalized) they received as children (personally, I regard it as unhealthy coping mechanism), we need to ask how that has manifested in the adults we have in Nigeria today.
Oyibo dey spoil pikin, na the same spoilt pikins who become adults they manage their countries and many Africans with the severe beatings as children, are the ones queueing up at the embassy for Visa to those countries. |

You've said it all. Many of them discuss with my wife to tell me to help them find good guys on regular basis and trust me, there are a lot of good, well trained nigerian girls over here in canada. Just that the few has ruined the chances of majority and most of our nija guys too no dey try at all. pansophist: A guy doing well for himself stands a good chance to marry these abroad women. I live here with them and I can't count how many are asking me to hook them up with good men back home. I hooked one last two years, he is in Canada now since last year, while a British Jamaican girl that came to visit me last year November fell in love with one of my friend. They are dating for two months now.
These ladies are suffering from how feminism have made men weak, scared/detest commitment and just lack masculinity. I feel sorry for many of them. And many of them are quite good women, but like most things, the few mess it up for the majority. |

I was in this shoes just less than a year back before I joined my wife here. It's not easy but with God's help and the trust you had for your partner before you married her, there should not be a problem. I had to wait in nija for exactly one year before being able to get my papers but with God's help, I am here and we are doing very good. Not every woman or man is that sincere and loyal, the more reason why before you marry anyone living far away, you must make sure you trust the person and always dwell on that. Also the line of communication must be very open between you both. No room for lies. At every point in time, tell yourselves everything, when I say everything I mean everything minute by minute. Both of your activities must be predictable and calls must be picked at every single time you hear your phone ring. |

Who told you he never had a girlfriend? quote author=madridsta007 post=98866085]
This, to many is totally astonishing though inspirational to students out there because of how well-involved Adebisi is in many extra-curricular activities and his achievements throughout his stay in the University.
The simple reason why he was able to achieve this, asides the important spiritual element, is the fact that he went through the University (1) Without a girlfriend and (2) lived above peer pressure from his mates. Let us begin to tell ourselves the truth. If you want to be average in University? Get a boyfriend or a girlfriend. I know a lady who was on her way to becoming the best graduating student with a 1st class. She met a guy and in the end she managed she come out with a 2.1. And belle. Young people in school stay away from girlfriends/boyfriends and above the influence of peer pressure. Do this two and put in the hardwork and you will graduate with a 1st Class + accolades.[/quote] |
