Bertram87: Okay I can see you are talking about Conestoga College. My admission got revoked too and I spoke with them on phone (Don’t send emails). Took me about 24hours to gain back my admission and I was issued a new LOA. Oh... Really. That is good then. But how do you mean gain back your admission? Was it for the same Sept? What did you tell them so I know what to say because I honestly want to pay but the money is almost ready. Please explain To Help some of us. |

sashaa: Please i need some help. My document checklist has medical report as required. What am i to upload there? I answered no in the questionnaire when asked if I've had medical exam performed. Are you sure this is not a call for medical? If it is, it means your visa is close to your passport oh. But first the question is, how many weeks is your application now and is it a "re" application or first time |

kcosam: I think the next step to take is to reapply for admission again if they have winter intake or look for other schools that does have winter intake for the same program that way if the visa application decision is favorable and another acceptance letter comes, then u can prepare for the winter start and update your DLI number if it's a different school. Okay, thank you so much for the advice |

Qudkom: This means you were probably given a conditional acceptance letter and you failed to meet up with the requirements. Hence, the admission getting revoked. You might therefore need to re apply. Okay, thank you for the advice |

Thank you for the advice hiambenson: In addition to what kcosam said, I suggest you also apply to 2-3 schools (if you can) offering programs of your choice just to be on the safe side considering the fact that the school which withdrew your application might not be swift enough to offer you admission the second time before your visa gets approved. |

Biot34: Good morning everyone in house, below are my result of gcms note, pls help me attend to it or advise me on what do. Thanks"I have reviewed the application. Based on the *financial documents submitted*, the Applicant appears to have a *moderate level of establishment* in their country of residence, and as a consequence, this visit does not appear to be a reasonable expense. in addition, *I have therefore accorded less weight to the applicant's economic ties*. The applicant's *purpose of visit appears vague* and poorly documented. The applicant's prior travel history is insufficient to count as a positive factor in my assessment. Weighing the factors in this application, I am not satisfied that the applicant will depart Canada at the end of the period authorized for their stay. For the reasons above, I have refused this application." To be able to respond or help or suggest to you, I need to know the following concerning your application that was refused. 1. Did you apply as an employee or as a business owner? 2. How much was the closing balance in your personal account? 3. How much was the closing balance of your sponsor and how related to you? (though seems not to mean much to the VO these days) 4. What personal assets did you presented(documents) Others can be tackled within a good SOP. |

mcobex: Try to explain how Petroleum engineering is related to Environmental engineering to the vo, it should be well detailed (cos these VOs don't really know these things so you have to present it like you are explaining to a novice). All these should be in a separate LOE(apart from your SOP). Also, make sure you talk about your funding. i.e your LOE should be about your funding and how related petroleum engineering and environmental engineering are(shouldn't be hard at all) Heyyyy I am seeing another thing again... Please what is the difference BTW LOE and SOP? Are you saying both should be in one study visa application? |

Juleskiki: Guys, are we not kinda missing the point why this forum was created. For the past few hours all i see are people trying to drag unnecessary issues and forgetting the main point. Someone posted his gcms note for us to help him but no one responded. Instead we are treating trivial matters. As we proceed we should bear in mind that no one knows it all. Most of our gurus gained their experience from this same forum.so sometimes they might get it wrong or right, they are humans. We all have unique profile, therefore our applications are obviously different. So no one should use theirs as yardstick. Most importantly, we should always let God work by having total faith in him. Goodnight everyone!! Honestly I don't see the reason for some exchange of words that went down. As for me, I have learnt a lot here. As regards that person that sent the GCMS note, I couldn't view the full attachment. Please how can we view it? |

Frankrobbn1: Your mother can transfer the property as a Gift Deed after the demise of your father. Your LOE should state that;
You have an asset in Nigeria which you must return to upon your graduation to continue managing, most notably a building which was gifted/transferred to you by your mother few years ago in 2009 (should be backdated), which you did not include in your initial application because you're being fully sponsored by your mother/brother/uncle (as the case maybe) and you assumed sponsorship covered the need for the applicant to disclose personal assets. You have therefore attached documents evidencing this property in Nigeria etc.....
Please this is just a guide, add more reasonable points to the letter and make it look convincing. Please don't declare that it's your current residential building that was transferred to you when drafting this letter.
Best of luck Oga Franc, with this your response you have just saved some of us. This is how to help someone when in need of SOP construction. Thank you! Thank you!! |

Frankrobbn1: Make sure you work on your SOP/LOE and tackle the reasons stated on your GCMS note. Well, I don't have a choice for now. Refusal reason was personal assets and financial status and I have asked here on this group countless times if there has been anyone who has ever gotten such refusal reasons and has got a GCMS note to that effect. But up till now, no one had said anything except one good moniker who explained that the reasons could be different and I appreciate that person's explanation. Looking at my application I noticed it was true that I didn't add a personal assets and my acct balance wasn't enough, so I am going to tackle it from that end. Anyway, I have asked for the GCMS note and it won't come until towards ending of July, 35 days or more. School starts 3rd of September. School refuse to defer, says I will loose the seat. I am sending in another application by next week by faith and when the GCMS note comes, anyway... till then because I may not need it by Faith... GCMS note or not, we all know this thing is by God's grace. |

Mudicua: Hey Obehi I am not a guru, however this is what I think. What is the probability that if you apply in June you will get feedback from CIC before August to enable you travel in time to start school? We do not really know. However applying for GCMS will give you a chance to know very well what the VO really thought about your application before giving a denial.
1. So if you feel you can adequately address the issue on your refusal letter, then by all means go ahead and re-apply for your study permit, while also applying for the GCMS notes. If you apply for the GCMS notes today, you will most likely get a response about this time in July. And if you find something you think you did not address in your reapplication, then you can do a webform to that effect.
2. Rather than apply for admission for 2020, why don't you wait to see the outcome of your visa process, and if you feel that they are taking too long to give you a response, then write to the school and apply for a deferral. Except the school does not give a deferral, then you can reapply for a fresh admission.
Lastly there are no consequences persay. All it is, is for you to be patient, prepare adequately and boost your application, and then wait the process out. But it seems like you are in a hurry, and only you knows why. All the best. Thank you for this response, it's been helpful. But please if you don't mind, can I also send you an email to get help in writing my LOE? Because I believe that is where my power to get this visa is. |

OptimusPrime21: If this is the case and you wise to reapply for the visa, u need to apply for admission in the same course in the same school 2weeks after you have applied for the visa, u send a mail to the school telling them you have already applied for visa with the old admission letter but reapplying incase you don't get the visa b4 the resumption date on the old admission letter.. This way, the school will consider your application faster and issue u a new admission letter sooner...
Or
You apply for gcms note, as you wait for the notes apply for a new admission letter... once the note comes out, u tackle it on your Loe, apply with the same admission letter for your visa.. so that if u are yet to get the visa and your resumption date passes, you are not losing anything but waiting on the new admission letter which am sure won't take long to come out since u have applied b4 and gotten admission...
this is Wat I think but open to other possible suggestions Thank you! I appreciate. |

Ibitowaoa: 1. With your bank statement I think you meets the requirements of tuition and living expenses coupled with ur husband owns. 2. Try make your LOE letter sounds better on the assets as you will be coming home to do this that after your schooling. 3. Also, CIC might think leaving a kid behind is not a good call, so try explain the plans you have for your kid. Maybe, your husband will there to support your child upbringing and you’ve employed a nanny to help do this and that, while your husband is away. Also, say that you will be applying for a leave of absent at work which you will fall back to after your studies. With the documents you have, I believe your LOE is not well structured and it’s not convincing enough. As per funds and assets you good to go. Experts should please assists her. Thank you so much for your response. How I wish you can assist me on my LOE. I will be glad as many heads I believe are better than one. |

Ibitowaoa: 1. Please how much do you have on your personal account. 2. Which assets did you submit to them. 3. Have you consider reconstructing your LOE.
What I heard from a source is that, once you satisfied the tuition payment option, they go through your LOE and try find the reasons you gave in coming back home etc and if truly you really need to pursue the degree. 1. Personal account was 1.8m naira when I applied at the end of March, I have almost 3m now, hopefully by the time I print to reapply by 2nd week, it should be about 3.5m or so. 2. Sponsor (my husband) account is 10m+ naira. 3. Assets I used then was only the lands owned by me and my husband. It was in both our names. But now I intend to add some landed property I inherited from my dad as my personal assets. 4. Yes I intend to write a good LOE, which I am begging the full house to please come to my help on that. I will appreciate any help in constructing the LOE. Finally I think I was able to satisfy the reasons of coming back because I have a 2yrs old daughter(birth prove and certificate), husband(marriage documents submitted) , a civil servant job(all proves and leave letter) etc. |

OptimusPrime21: There's no consequence, the only thing there is your gcms would tell you exactly why your application was denied which might be different or the same with wat ur loe explained..
If u reapply like u said and August is the only month inbtw, I advise you apply for a deferment of admission... it gives u time for your visa to be processed... even if u defer and the visa comes out in September or August, it's still a win/win situation... you will have ample time to prepare yourself.. Thank you very much for your response. But I have tried to defer my admission and the school responded that they can not defer for my course unless I want to cancel the admission and reapply, but that they can't quanranty me automatic admission but will have to pass through normal process again. This is also my fear, getting admission, as it's becoming difficult these days. What do you think? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Obehi44: 8:51am On Jun 02, 2019 |
Qudkom: Well your gcms note will shed more light and assist with the supporting documents you need. So I have been made to understand. But looking at the time frame to get the GCMS note, I won't have enough time for visa to come out and therefore will miss the Sept admission. Look at it like this, we are in June already, assuming I request GCMS now and may not come out till like around July ending or so, then I reapply for the visa say July ending, August is the only month inbtw and class starts 3rd Sept. Okay let me ask the gurus in the house if my plan is good or what could be the disadvantages both presently or in the future. This is what I plan to do: 1. I am going to request for the GCMS note, While that is on, 2. I will reapply for the visa around 2nd week of June by trying respond to their refusal reasons directly(increase the money in my personal account, and include other personal assets). Meanwhile my sponsors account and assets are still very intact. (then pray and hope bcoz God can still do anything) 3. I will also apply for admission for Jan 2020. With these, please what do I have to loose? What could be the consequences? |

Qudkom: Well in your case, you need to explain vividly why/what you hope to archive when you are done with your studies in relation to your registered company. Get a detailed business plan if possible fo highlight your plans for the business. There are loads of things you can do but the above is for a start. All the best.
Ps: it's important you get thd cac certificate Come to think of it, the list you provided was for business people/owners. What about those of us who doesn't have a business or company but just applied as a student. I have some money in my account and my husband's account is also good too. |
