Qudkom: Cc: Obehi44 Nice one, thank you. Although I am going to request for the GCMS note, but at the same time, I want to reapply around 2nd week of this June. I am putting things together to the effect of their refusal reason. Thanks to everyone here that responded to my posts, I have picked a few to help me. |

Thanks OptimusPrime21: Every application denial reasons are different... What I mean is despite a denial reason being "personal assets and financial status", with I and 10 persons but doesn't mean the reason for all of us are the same... what I have on my application is never the same with wat those 10 persons have... I say this cos I know someone with just #400k in his account and still got an approval... so like I said it's the same generic reasons but the idea for the reasons are different.. but I think this applies to only "personal assets and financial status" |

Hi, I love your response here. You were able to give this person an idea of what usually the GCMS note may contain for a "purpose of visit" refusal. At least now this can help him since the admission is for Sept just like mine and GCMS will take not less than 30days or more to come. In my own case, the reason was "personal assets and financial status". So please can you help or has there been anyone with such and got a GCMS note? Please I need an idea if there will be more to it than just these words. My resumption is Sept 3 too. Thanks Qudkom: You have roughly 61days before your college/university ask you to confirm attendance for the upcoming session. You can submit but make contingencies for Winter (January).
It's risky reapplying without a gcms note to guide you. However purpose of visit is usually on the following factors; 1. Poor and Vague sop 2. Program not correlating with work experience and previous academic program. 3. Enrolling for a program lower than your last credentials.
All the best.... |

Bracha: If you can't wait for your GCMS note, increase the money in your account, write a very good SOP/LOE explain what has changed in this new application. When filling the form, where you're asked if you've been denied a visa before, say yes, and write that insufficient funds was the reason for your denial.
Please make sure your SOP is very good and that the money in your account is tuition + 10,000cad + extra money for whatever family you'll be leaving behind.
Good luck. Thank you for the response. I know LOE as letter of explanation. But what is SOP? 2. If i should increase the amount to be for tuition + 10k $ + extra, that should be more than about N10million , what no2 happens to my sponsor account or how much will then be the balanace? Or does the sponsor's account no longer counts? Finally, can I reach you privately for help to also assist with the letter. I will be very glad. Thanks |

Obehi44: Thanks for your response. Since my school starts September 3rd, I won't be able to wait for 30 days or more for a Gcms note. Now the question is are there usually difference from this point they raced for refusal than what the GCMS note will contain? My school resumes Sept 3rd, Gcms note they say won't come not less than 30 days or even more, please guys i don't want to miss this admission. In fact I am tired of staying at home and not doing anything. I want to reapply anytime soon btw the next week or two. I personally feel the reason they gave for the refusal is simple and straight forward ( I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status. Please has there been anyone with such? What else would the GCMS note contain again? |

kcosam: Sorry about your refusal, the funds in your account and that of your sponsor, was is it lump sum deposits? How is the inflows and outflows? Was your sponsor's account corporate or personal, did you show evidence for the sources of these funds? Before you reapply, try to get your gcms note for details, thank God the only refusal reason is on the ground of finance and personal asset which you can easily fix in your next application. Thank you for your response. No it was not a lump sum deposits, it was a personal account that ran normal and smoothly with a balance of 10million + and mine was also my normal account even for my salary too. Yes I showed evidence of the source of funds as my husband had his Pay slip, employment letter etc. |

Now the question is are there usually difference from this point they raced for refusal than what the GCMS note will contain? Mudicua: Hi Sis, I am so sorry to hear about your refusal. I know exactly how you are feeling right now, and it is okay to feel sad, but do not feel dejected or frustrated.
Now you need to order your GCMS notes to know exactly why you were refused, and then re-apply addressing the issues raised by the VO. Though it says financial assets and financial status, but a GCMS notes can give better insight. I would suggest you look at what you have between you and your hubby and then compare with the expenses of the school, also bearing in mind that you have a child. Do you have scholarship from the school? If no then you should bear in mind that the VO may be expecting to see enough funds to cover you and your child (if accompany you) and also have enough left for your hubby.
Do not rush to apply. order your notes, and also start to address the situation as much as you can before your GCMS notes come in... in about 30 days.
Shalom! |

Evankc: Okay.let see how we can assist and address the issue
Did you do medical upfront and updated passed ? No. I always believed in waiting to be called for medicals because that was how my sister's own went. She is in Canada schooling. |

Finally guys I got the response but was a refusal. See below. " I am refusing your application on the following grounds. I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary residents, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR. Base on your financial assets and financial status."
Now I need your advice because I intend to reapply. Closing balance on my account was 1.8m while the sponsor which is my husband is 10million + The only assets I included was the land document of me and my husband.
Please all suggestions will be appreciated. |

My application is now on 10th week.
I have not received any updates from cic after receiving my BCL. I raised a web form and I have sent a mail to Nairobi on 23rd of May, 2019 but I have not received any response from them too. Kindly suggest possible approach.
Thanks. Although I am not a guru at these because my application is just 9weeks starting from when they confirm my biometrics. Therefore, I am not sure your application is up to 10weeks if you got the biometrics correspondence May 13. I think it should start counting from then. Please I stand to be corrected by the gurus in the house. |

Oladimejii: I got a mail that my processed passport is ready for pick up. No medical mail nor upfront medicals. I had presumed it was a refusal and had prepared for the worst.
I got there today, picked up my package and tore it open to find my passport with the attached slip. Mind you my Online Account is still on Eligibility check.
The only message I received last week was correspondence mail. When did you apply and when did you get this email? I am guessing it's a paper application and not online for your passport to have been with them, right? |

sillysassysally: What I meant was that you’ve not provided your full timeline information. I.e. whether your application is a new one or a re-application, and the month your school is expected to resume.
Response time really depends on a variety of factors ranging from how much application CIC is handling at the point of your submission to whether or not you submitted all the information needed to assess your eligibility, or how clear your documents are, or how long your background checks would take, etc. In summary, it’s a holistic process that depends on every aspect of one’s application as opposed to one specific reason.
It has often been debated here whether or not paper is faster than online and vise verse. I personally believe an online application is faster - especially since that’s even what is on the CIC website. If someone who applied via paper gets feedback before someone who applied via online, that does not mean that paper route is faster than online route. It may be because there was something in the online persons application that caused the delay. Maybe the online person has relatives living in Canada that they had to do additional background checks for... Something along these lines.
Your second question is not clear.
On GCMS, I don’t know the meaning. Try googling it...
For your other questions on implication, it has been recently answered on this thread. You can read a couple of threads back to get more perspective...
I hope this information helps. Oh, sorry my first question was that does the kind of programs(master, postgraduate etc) Appling for makes the response time differs? |

sillysassysally: TRV UPDATE for the week ending May 26th
This week featured quite a number of updates - especially among 2018 applicants. Processing time remained at 9 weeks.
I would encourage those viewing the thread but have not submitted their timeline to please do, as it would help us make logical guesstimates on CIC processing time. Complete information is still needed from Dolapok, Seatea, Oni2019, Promise147, docsaj, Cutieflaky, Teejay30628, Klem28, Boe19, Ancy 26, Omarzx, Hiambenson, Wealthmiq, Teslimot01, Obehi44, Vickglam, Pelumi12, Nochyks87, Harveygordon, Bdemix, Alexkrueger, Emeritus00, Chinonye94, Atamanekpen, Deane, Okoriekwe, and Opana1).
Finally, if you guys have any ideas on how we can present this information better or what else we can add to it or remove from it, I am always open any adjustment that'll make this better. I don't really know how to give the details you are asking for, can you please help with a format for proper presentation? I will like to also know if the kind of program(Masters, postgraduate etc) makes the response time different. 2. Since we have pple from other countries, is the response time same as with that of Nigeria? Finally, please what is the full meaning of Gcms and what is the implications or advantage and disadvantages when someone request for it. Thanks guys... |

Mudicua: Obehi, please calm down, Do not stress yourself. Follow what Makano said, and be patient. One thing i learnt for these past 42 weeks of waiting was patience. I do not pray your application takes long as mine, but you just gotta be patient and hopeful it ends well. When is your school resuming? You can order GCMS notes as soon as it hits 10 weeks, and that will take another 4 weeks to come back. But in the meantime you just have to wait, and send them emails as well. Thank you so much for this. I also will include you in my prayers. Meanwhile, let me also use this opportunity to thank everyone who has commented on my post so far. I can't start mentioning handles now, the worry in me won't let me focus on anything. but I want you all to know that I sincerely appreciate all your response. Thank you! Thank you!!! I will update once I get any email from them by the new week. |
