The Lincoln Lawyer [2011]. . .not mindblowing but a good film nonetheless. I'll rate it 5.5/10

@semid4lyfe
That is your opinion.
I'll rate 'The Lincoln Lawyer' 7.5/10.

'Dear John' wasn't a fantastic or mind-blowing movie if you ask me.

@Jayboy124
'Midnight in Paris' is currently showing at U.S. cinemas.

@iice
Madam Alexander Skarsgard, 'Melancholia' hits U.S. theaters by November 2011.
The film premiered at this year's Cannes film festival and its currently showing in Denmark.
I'll put it in my 'want to see' list.

The scene in the movie 'Aliens' where Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley wears a mechanical suit and tells the alien "Get away from her, you b.itch!"

@Vieira
'Get away from her, you b.itch!' - Sigourney Weaver in 'Aliens'.
I love that scene

The Best of The Coen Brothers:
- Miller's Crossing (1990)
- Fargo (1996)
- O' Brother, Where art thou? (2000)
- No Country for Old Men (2007)
- True Grit (2010)

Early reviews for 'Super 8' have been positive so far.

@earthrealm
Alien 4 (Alien Resurrection) wasn't that good.
Alien, Aliens and Alien 3 were good anyway.

@Vieira
I'll just give a brief synopsis. Its a Japanese film anyway. After the death of his wife, a guy meets a girl through a fake movie audition he organized with a friend. The guy thinks this girl is the one not knowing she's a sick and twisted psycopath.

There's an extremely graphic scene where the girl uses a piano string to cut off the guy's foot.

Vieira:
The scene from American History X with the Kerb, for a week I was scarred by that scene, made me shiver whenever I remembered it. Have not watched the film again because of it. Too hardcore.

@Vieira
That scene was

Have you seen 'Audition' (1999) ?

Apart from 'The Hangover Part 2', I also heard 'Bridesmaids' is another good comedy film to watch.

- Amy Poehler's character peeing on the toilet sink in "Baby Mama"

- The Joker's pencil trick in "The Dark Knight"

- The Anti-gravity fight scene in "Inception

- almost all the scenes in "Saving Private Ryan"

- Radio Raheem gets killed in a riot "Do The Right Thing"

- Gene Kelly and Jerry mouse dancing in "Anchors Aweigh"

, more coming soon

@Jayboy124
Some NL members don't reside in Nigeria. So, we meet virtually.
So, you stay in Nigeria. Was it the Genesis Cinemas in Lagos or the one in PH you went to?

@Ogaga4Luv
'The Lincoln Lawyer' has the potential to be a contender at the Oscars. But let's just wait and see anyway.

For a bot maybe.

@iice
Madam Johnny Depp, na your wahala be dat.

iice:
You obviously don't since you've moved on from the point of redemption to the point of being a producer.

Vieira, haba i don't think so.
Although he has a TV show in the works. . .it's kinda reminiscent of Jurassic Park

@iice
Madam Johnny Depp, Lets just see whether Steven Spielberg still got the magic. Simple.

@Vieira
Nigeria's release date for X-Men: First Class is TBA.

Vieira, tell madam say I dey greet am o! I throway salute for pikin as well.

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS premieres in the U.K. on June 1 2011 and in the U.S. on June 3 2011. Produced by Bryan Singer and Directed by Matthew Vaughn.

@iice

@iice
I understand everything you have been saying all this time. But my point is that the producer is still involved even though he/she is not writing or directing the film.

Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson will be producing Tintin. Spielberg directs. But Tintin is still 7 months away, so 'SUPER 8'. Let's see the magic of J.J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg on June 10 hopefully.

iice:
^lol.

Not surprised.

Stevogue:
Hey pals, wanna know if Trueblood season 3 has yet hit the screen. Been kinda tied up in the last two months to keep tabs on my favourite movies. If it's in the market, hope the standard ain't diminishing yet? Updates please. Thanks

Season 3 has been out since. You meant to say season 4.

TRUE BLOOD Season 4 will start airing on June 26 2011.

@iice
The producer is also a part of the film. He may not be directing but he's still involved in the film making process one way or another.

@Jayboy124
Nollywood's learning process is extremely slow. The process is not even as fast as a snail's speed.

No Country for Old Men also won Best Picture at the Oscars.

@teeluv
Yeah! 'The Lincoln Lawyer' was good.

@iice
I know Spielberg is producing 'Super 8'. It will serve as a moment of redemption. No F ups.
I loved J.J. Abrams' 2009 reboot Star Trek. So, lets see how 'Super 8' goes.

'Super 8' hits U.S. theaters on June 10 2011.

@iice
Also check out 'Millers Crossing' and 'O Brother where art thou' from the Coen brothers as well.

With 'Super 8' and 'The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn' coming out this year, Steven Spielberg has to redeem himself from the shame caused by the 2008 Indiana Jones film.

iice:
Mrs Johnny Depp please

@iice
Madam Johnny Depp (in the virtual universe).

Other golden raspberry contenders are 'Season of the Witch', 'The Green Hornet' and 'The Roommate'.
