I actually like this concept. I'd like to see if it grows. |
gloriaunobi:I use a Redmi 8 too. Are you enjoying yours? |
Igbo Amaka. Really informative post. |
scoundrel:But what would even make you think the article was fake in the first place? |
scoundrel:Did you even care to check any of the attached links? Over sabi! This post is quite articulate. |
It looks like a mix of a Vine Snake and a Garter. |
Larry Tesler, an icon of early computing, has died at the age of 74. Mr Tesler started working in Silicon Valley in the early 1960s, at a time when computers were inaccessible to the vast majority of people. It was thanks to his innovations - which included the "cut", "copy" and "paste" commands - that the personal computer became simple to learn and use. Xerox, where Mr Tesler spent part of his career, paid tribute to him. "The inventor of cut/copy & paste, find & replace, and more, was former Xerox researcher Larry Tesler," the company tweeted. "Your workday is easier thanks to his revolutionary ideas." Mr Tesler was born in the Bronx, New York, in 1945, and studied at Stanford University in California. After graduating, he specialised in user interface design - that is, making computer systems more user-friendly. He worked for a number of major tech firms during his long career. He started at Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (Parc), before Steve Jobs poached him for Apple, where he spent 17 years and rose to chief scientist. After leaving Apple he set up an education start-up, and worked for brief periods at Amazon and Yahoo. In 2012, he told the BBC of Silicon Valley: "There's almost a rite of passage - after you've made some money, you don't just retire, you spend your time funding other companies. "There's a very strong element of excitement, of being able to share what you've learned with the next generation." 'A counterculture vision' Possibly Mr Tesler's most famous innovation, the cut and paste command, was reportedly based on the old method of editing in which people would physically cut portions of printed text and glue them elsewhere. The command was incorporated in Apple's software on the Lisa computer in 1983, and the original Macintosh that was released the following year. One of Mr Tesler's firmest beliefs was that computer systems should stop using "modes", which were common in software design at the time. "Modes" allow users to switch between functions on software and apps but make computers both time-consuming and complicated. So strong was this belief that Mr Tesler's website was called "nomodes.com", his Twitter handle was "@nomodes", and even his car's license plate was "No Modes". Silicon Valley's Computer History Museum said Mr Tesler "combined computer science training with a counterculture vision that computers should be for everyone". As a tribute to this legend I have copied and pasted this article directly from the BBC website. LOL. Wow!
Did anybody notice the name of the hotel?
Who remembers Waldorf Astoria from Coming to America? |
#NoBraDay has a deeper significance than what Nigerian girls haveb turned it to. Anyway, my Vaseline jar is still half full. No qualms. I'll see you guys later. |
Did you have any psychological problem while growing up?
I did and I kept bed wetting for a long time. |
I actually didn't read this stuff.
Buh what I want to say is that, THERE'S ONLY ONE WAY TO FIND OUT. |
I curse the person that did this to Ronaldo and Hazard. |
Ii can't deny it no more... DJ Cuppy has huge titties. |
asanwafo:So you want to show yourself too? Don't you understand my post? I meant that skimpy dresses or a complete gown won't affect which women gets raped. When that idiot called konji takes over a man's mind and he decides to rape, nothing will stop him from doing it - bikini or wedding gown. Rather, what he can do is to change the way we raise our boys. Teach them discipline and restraint. Teach them that not every desire of theirs must be met. Teach them to respect other people's dignity. Do this and rape will drastically reduce. I guess I should also add that we should teach our daughters these values too, because I'm sure you're hungry to read a different meaning in this post. |
lukui:I really don't want to believe that backward people like you still exist. How could you say such a thing? Did you even think about it before airing it? Think about this: can you say that people that build beautiful expensive houses are asking to be burgled? You might say "but if you build an expensive house in a dangerous area you're asking to be burgled". But we both know that women are raped in every area notwithstanding the security conditions. Also think about this: I have noticed that the majority of women that appear in the news for being raped do not even put on skimpy dresses, so what are you talking about Mr Man? |
Skyfornia:Don't talk like a mentally retarded person, please. His point is that being rich is not the focus but being able to survive in the long run. He's not comparing himself to other musicians, but he spoke a truth that a lot of people in the entertainment industry get carried away with the ephemeral wealth that game gives them, but lose it because of the lack of foresight. Whether he had anything else to offer to the music industry or not does not change the fact that he recognised his priorities and was not afraid to take the important transition. |
I like this man. In fact, I'd like to emulate all I've just read about this man. A man who recognises and sets his priorities. A man who puts his family first. A man who thinks about his future and his retirement. A man who puts serious thinking into the upbringing of his children. A man who reads, who does not tie success to money who is not afraid to air his views and take a stand, a man who knows when it's pointless to keep arguing. I'm not afraid to call him a real man and I would like to be like that. |
Doing this shit on stage?! Eww... Have people really lost their dignity to this extent? |
Kaffy recently criticised this dance, but people called her a hypocrite. They insulted her and assigned all kinds of abusive names to her. She might be a hypocrite to an extent, but it should also conversely show that we're all hypocrites. Look at what Naira Marley is doing to little boys now. Look at the direction he's pushing them to by giving them money to dance that shit. I understand that they are probably street kids and their future and morals look gloomy already, but does what he's doing helping things at all? Is he providing a possibility for positive change at all? Think about these kids (and potentially many others) who will grow up with the mindset that masturbation is a trivial thing (yes, I know masturbation is already very common but my point is that their morals would be so poor to the extent that they think masturbation is a trivial thing, but also that issues like sexual harassment and molestation don't mean much). Seriously guys, we have a serious responsibility to the right upbringing to every Nigerian child. |
PoliteActivist:Actually, the full name of my course is Mass Communication and Digital Media. But I'd prefer we focus on the questions I asked rather than the discipline I study, please. |
The disparity in suicide rates between genders is seriously alarming. Why is this so? More social pressure on men? If that's the case, why is it different in Nigeria even with all the pressure on men to provide for his woman, his family and "catch up" with his mates? And even more pertinent - what's causing the recent spike in the rate of suicide in young people? I strongly believe the media (especially social media and blogs) has something to do with this. You see a young person commit suicide. Social media people begin to make arguments about it. Calling the person stupid, insulting the person with different headlines. Basically making the topic of suicide to trend. So it means suicide is in everybody's mind. The next person suffers a severe heartbreak or loses someone dear. They get depressed. The topic of suicide already in their mind, the chance of attempting suicide is higher. This is just my opinion. By the way, I'm a student of Mass Communication and I have basic knowledge of the theory of Agenda Setting and Hyperdermic Needle. Check it out. |
Ikem11:Line I said before, this is a good idea. It will boost the soldiers' confidence. But tactically it's not safe. Let's not put emotions into this, please. |
Personally, I think the issue is not with VAR but with the large amount of new laws that came into being almost spontaneously. I can imagine how confusing it is for the players to get frustrated by a law they don't fully understand. So they misdirect their rage to VAR rather than the laws. |
Ikem11:I understand what you mean, but President Buhari is just nominal leader and not tactical. |
But these shoes are fakes na! See the errors in brand names like Supreme and Balenciaga. Also, why would you sell fakes at that cost? |
I think you need to disable a lot of apps you suspect. Just go to settings, then to apps, then select an app and choose disable. It will still be in the phone but will stop working. You won't lose anything in the app at all. Also, if your has the data saver feature, you need to turn it on. It blocks apps from eating data on background (when you're not actively using them). |
This sounds like a good idea tactically. But it's also risky for the man in charge of the army to be there. What if something happens to him? You know that once you take out the leader you can destroy the troop. |
bro4u:It's "bony" neck! I guess you hardly got a balanced education. |
I'm very surprised that this man is mentioning ELECTRIC CARS as a solution. Electric cars? With what infrastructure? Who will charge them? Nigeria doesn't even cater to the power needs of its citizens talk more of electric cars. |
