As a result of the latest killings of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB),former minister of aviation -Femi Fani-Kayode has appealed to president Buhari to dialogue with the aggrieved protesting group so that peace will reign in the country.According to FFK,President Buhari should stop the barbaric and consistent slaughter of IPOb members.Read what he wrote on his Facebook page.... Our government must stop the barbaric and consistent slaughter of IPOB members that we have been witnessing in the last few weeks and months. The more Biafrans we kill the stronger the cause for Biafra gets. The logic is simple and it ought to be obvious to every discerning mind: we cannot fight a war on two fronts. We cannot fight Boko Haram in the north and at the same time fight Biafra in the south. This is the time for us to bury the hatchet and reach out to those passionate young igbos that feel marginalised and despised and that are obviously disgruntled. This is the time for us to stretch out a hand of friendship to them and to attempt to soothe their pain. The igbo are not our enemies: they are our compatriots. Whether we like it or not we must treat them with the requisite respect and sensitivity that they deserve. The more we kill their unarmed youth simply for marching in the streets and insisting on their right of self-determination, the more we are courting a disaster and possibly a second civil war. God forbid that it should ever come to that. God forbid that Nigerian should ever slaughter Nigerian again. God forbid that we should, once again, lose our peace on this country and witness the horrors and barbarity of yet another civil war.

UNILAG Medicine and Surgery student protest their dissatisfaction in the handling of their cross-over to College of Medicine by the school Authority. According to a source, this is the message that started the commotion, that then led to today's protest, this message was passed round on 29 January, 2016: Hello Akokites, there is a rumour that 58 out of 147 Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) students will be allowed to cross to LUTH against the usual 50% across the science division of physical, chemical and biological. Research has it that there have never been a time in history where Pre-MED students had to wait for this long before seeing the list of those that made it to LUTH. Report has it that the remaining student that wouldn't be part of the 58 will be sent home to write jamb all over even though jamb form closes in 3days and the list is still yet to be released. I was also told the Pre-MED students plan to meet by 10:00am today(29/01/2016) at amphi theatre and maybe go on a peaceful protest. ULSSA(Unilag Science Student Association), please come to our rescue in any way you can. The school authority decided to change the grading system to a grade-point system. Reason being that the crowd in that area of study(Medicine and surgery) was becoming 'unbearable', and the rate at which student fail while in College of Medicine, Unilag. The students took to the 'street' and started a peaceful protest to the senate of the school, even though the VC didn't come out due to reasons best known to him, the Student Union Leader; Mr Mohammed Olaniyi addressed the aggrieved students, all to no avail. The peaceful and quiet protest then turned rowdy as the students didn't feel satisfied with the response they got from the SUG leader. Trezzy Blog spoke to a student, Miss Funmi about the incident as she is part of the affected student: We were told about this development during our 2nd semester, towards the end of the year. But it is still unfair, I spent 3years at home waiting for this course, now I have it and UNILAG is moving me to another course despite having a grade point of 4.0 which would have normally taken me through if we used the old system, but they are asking for 4.5. I don't know what to do again, this is unfair. Asked if the time they were warned wasn't enough to figure out if they should have taken caution; Most of us worked by faith and also found the idea strange. They shouldn't have made that change immediately, while the 14/15 set were in session. UNILAG started change of course for us even before they released some results. They told us to change immediately if we aren't sure of our strength and there was a deadline, all this happened while in session! Our 2nd semester at that! Only a few of us changed The rest of us chose to work harder. Results were coming out after exams But Unilag didn't release our broadsheet! The change of course form closed just a day before the broadsheet was out We also spoke to another Student now, Mr Lekan, Department of Physiotherapy, to shed more light on the matter, This is injustice, we prospective students of college of medicine wouldn't take this. Asked to speak more; Those of us who didn't meet the cut off per department, didn't cross. And we can't change course anymore. They can't move us to any lower course at all also, this is wrong in all ways. Some of my colleagues were even given zero. Some Missing script! How! We are lost! Its too late retake jamb now, the form has closed. The least we are begging for is change of course. How will u release change of course form before we write the exam? We beg all Nigerians to use the social media to effect this issue to our favour, we can't waste 3years for nothing. Trezzy Blog tried speaking with the Student Union Leader, he said everything is under control. That the aggrieved student would be heard. This is a bloodied Justa Kawira, laying helpless after her husband brutally pummeled her to near-death at their home in Kenya, leaving her bleeding and unconscious, after claiming she stole from him and that she was a nag. 22-year-old Justa has experienced multiple cases of violent abuses from her evil husband, suffered a miscarriage and lost two front teeth last year, after she was stabbed by him. Justa, who has been married for six years, said John Wachira, 30, accused her of stealing after returning drunk to their home in Lang'ata, Nairobi. The woman said she confronted Wachira, who returned at about 10pm on Sunday night, when he insisted that she stole his money. "I told him I did not steal any money but he beat me until I could not take it anymore," she said. According to Kenyan human rights activist Boniface Mwangi, the husband is walking around scott free. No arrests have been made because the wife refuses to press charges. She is 6-months pregnant and receiving treatment at a hospital. Boniface revealed that Justa was assaulted while her neigbours looked on. She was dragged into the house and beaten blue-black while bystanders just watched. The neighbour who recorded the video of this particular assault, said he got tired of stopping the abuse, so he decided to film evidence. Boniface and his team have found a safe house for Justa Kawira and a lawyer has offered to help on the case. Watch the disturbing videos below. They made it! The Otedola sisters are no longer 'naija famous'. They are officially worldwide celebs. The pair of DJ Cuppy (Florence Otedola) and fashion blogger Temi Otedola, made front page headlines on DailyMail.co.uk , today. Trips to Paris Fashion Week, hobnobbing with Valentino and helping out with styling at Oscar de la Renta - sounds like all the trappings of a celebrity lifestyle. But it's all in a day's work for Lagos-born Temi Otedola, 19, the daughter of one of Nigeria's richest men. Born in London, she returned to Nigeria for the first seven years of her life before coming back to attend boarding school, and is now settled in the capital. Temi's is the youngest daughter of energy tycoon Femi Otedola - worth an estimated £650million.He was listed as the 16th richest man in Africa by Forbes in 2015, and in Nigeria, where money is measured in dollars, he's referred to as a billionaire - with a fortune of $1.57billion. But Temi insists that despite her family's wealth, her father and mother Nana have never spoiled her or her brother Fewa and two older sisters Florence and Christine, and is determined to prove herself on her own merits. "We were brought up knowing all the success and money my father has made is his and we have to work for ourselves,' Temi told FEMAIL. "We've definitely had that instilled in us. He might be bluffing but we certainly take him at face value. Anyway, we would not feel very good about ourselves just living off him." While her father is currently supporting her as she studies for a degree in art history at University College London, Temi hopes to become independent by making a success of a career in fashion and has set up her own style blog JTO Fashion. She picks up inspiration by travelling to Paris and Milan for fashion week, listing Balenciaga, Marni and Valentino as her preferred fashion shows, and shares photos of her adventures with her 13,500 Instagram followers. "I tend to go out only about twice a month and Cirque and Libertine are my favourite bars in London. But I'd rather go to Paris for the weekend and go to a few shows." "My favourite fashion moment was probably last summer when I attended the Valentino Haute Couture show in Rome for three days," she recalled. "My sister Florence and I were invited. It was an unforgettable trip including a private tour of the Vatican and meeting Mr Valentino himself at dinner the night before the Haute Couture show. "It was a completely surreal moment because I've absolutely adored his line even before the creative directors Maria Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli were at the helm. "We were just talking about the whole experience and the upcoming show and he struck me as being extremely elegant and kind in his manner. He was really, really lovely."
