However, I want to slightly disagree with you on why the rate of divorce is higher among the Yorubas than the igbos, it is not because Igbo women are ready to take anything from their husbands due to their dependent nature.
I will rather see it from the angle of igbo
husbands being more committed to their marital duties. Simply put, an igbo man takes pride in taking good care of his wife infact among those that lives outside their home towns it is a competition . Eg some men , when their neighbor or friend buys a car for their wives they see it as a challenge and will not rest until they also buy for their wives. Again Igbo women are mostly educated and not entirely dependent
If dependency is actually a reason for longevity of marriage, Hausa marriages would have been the most enduring one but we all know that despite their women not working and being heavily dependent on Thier husbands, they still have the highest rate of divorce in the country.

Please why do we call akpu fufu, this is a food invented by the igbos with original igbo name but everybody is now calling it fufu instead of it's real name akpu .
