@observant na God carry you come back here..thank you very much..please come and respond to me

i have been to australian study thread, the addmision processing and visa processing is not like this f**kin' lipsrsealed canada. But my difficulty is that i don't know where to start from. On like this Canada thread you would atleast see document listed and submitted for visa application and suggestions.
my question goes like this cos i feel i have made the mistake applying for a PGD in canada because i couldn't afford to wait for their biting long admission duration of MASTERS when i have a 2.1 of (3.59) that would have atleast fetch me MEng program or Msc program by luck in canada so i am considering a back up plan if CIC no gree stamp my passport.

1) i studied E/E engineering with 2.1(3.59) with my last 3yrs UG GPA of 3.90,4.09,4.00,3.77,3.90,3.89 will this comfortably fetch me Masters program in Australia/USA with anticipated specialization in POWER SYSTEM ENGINEERING or RENEWABLE ENERGY

2) how long does it take to get admission decision from Australian schools and since they now require proof of funds, how much is expected to be in my sponsor's acccount

3) please can you provide me with AUSTRALIAN immigration website lemme check their study permit procedures and requirements for students and which low tuition uni. could you advise me to apply if you know any?

lemme quickly also drop this information request on their thread to know if i will be opportune for a sophisticated answer
Bros i can help you with some information but in other not to derail the Canadian thread, You can PM so we ca n talk via email.

GrandCommander:
nice talk but from the little enquiries i made about Australia, it seems it takes about the same time(3 months) to process visa applications with canada.
Pure fallacy, Australia was my second choice, I only applied to US because of my family and honestly I didn't expect to get it, it was just a miracle because nothing was spectacular about my application nor interview.

I current have 2 admissions from 2 Australian Universities, there admission process is very fast, before 1st of July 2016, there had a process called SVP which meant students weren't required to show financial evidence to get there visas. A lot o people who were denied by Canada on this forum got I instantly approved.
Some even travelled with there spouses with no financial evidence. (In this scenario the students and accompanying spouse and family also get permit to work 20/40 hrs respectively) so even if you travel with zero naira, you and your spouse will most likely be able to raise your tuition though it's always advised to have funds for 12 months expenses.
There Visa processing takes not more than 4wks from the day of lodgement.

Students get 20hrs a week and 40hrs duration holidays, and what's important is that these student Jobs (on-campus and off-campus) appears to be ready available and pay between $18 to $22 as $18 is the national minimum wage.

Even though the SVP has been replaced with SSVF
(On 1st July 2016) which requires financial evdience.
They still have very approval rate. Infact why not take a trip to there page and see for yourself.

@NonelikeGod is correct. I don't live in Canada, I live in the country next door to it (for a while I called it one of the "Five Eye" countries). Just in case you haven't read my old posts, I ended up on this thread a year ago because I was trying to help my sister get a Canadian TRV (after she got denied) and I ended up staying past my welcome lol. After reading from about Part 4 to Part 8 (at the time) I was able to help her package her next application which got approved swiftly, and this success inspired us to apply for my younger brother (a complex applicant) as well who got his study permit TRV on the first try.

Even though I don't live in Canada I still have opinions about it haha! I have in the recent past briefly visited Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia. What specific questions do you want me to answer? I will let you know what I can answer and what I can't. I will mention some of the other gurus (living/studying in Canada) on the thread to answer questions about their respective provinces if the answers can't be googled!
Thesoj abeg respond to my PM. This is STANDUPGUY, remember me? I'm having issues login into the email I used on that moniker. Abeg I have a few questions for you. My US F1 has been approved after the shit Canada gave me.
I need to ask you a few questions.
Thanks

P.S at anyone taking shit from CIC, there are other very sharp study locations like Australia and US. Australia in particular offer even more than Canada in terms of student jobs and easy access to PR.
Don't waste your time and money on these who delight in frustrating your applications. After 3 refusals from CIC who could believe that US would grant me visa at first try? You might just be faithed to study in another location.
Trust me, I have the first hand experience of CIC bullshit, pulling a 180 degrees on me after paying off my 2yrs tuition upfront and unequivocally proving my financial capacity. They searched for another reason to refuse my application as if anything had changed I'm my documents.

Well apparently there older and more reason brother US just found me eligible to study in there own country.

Thesoj abeg come give better load down.

Hello everyone

So i am considering booking a flight ahead of time to get a good deal but first i would like to ask a few question.

Is it accepted by both the airline and the officers at the POE to book a One way Ticket?

I guess the Idea international airport for someone going to New hamphire should be BOSTON International?

Please any suggestion would be nice.

Thank you.

If I might add, because I got a lot of experience dealing with my refusals in Canadian embassy.

1.) Let your program of study be related to what you have been doing for the past 5 yrs. Or your undergraduate degree if you have or claim less then three yrs work experience.

2.) On ur ds-160 form please explain your role and function in the organization where you work as it pertains to your proposed program.

3.) Dress well and look very smart.( Not over dressing like suit o).

I know say na God do am for me o, but I have equally wondered why I wasn't asked any serious questions at all.

SNHU does not require TOEFL, They don't require GRE. Their tuition is very very affordable from my i20 it say about 15,789 for 12 months Tuition and 14k for living expenses. Of course the living expenses will be subject to your life style.
I never new SNHU referred people to BCIE, because I aactually started my application with them.
Please note that BCIE got my admission first before I paid them there processing fee of 55k.

You can still look into the Canadian Express Entry System and see if you have the points and put in the application now ....so by the time u are
graduating you have two options and can move closer to your brother if u want

I guess d only thing is d annoying application fees since ur focus is on ur fees first. ...but if u can do it cool . Many naija i knw back then did Canadian as a student as backup so as H1b no show , oya off to where u have PR.
Information Technology is a STEM program, which means you get 12months OPT, and 17 Months extension. The 17 months extension was increased to r 24months on may 2016. So STEM graduates get a total of 36 months on graduation.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but this is what I garnered from my research.
I will definitely apply for the Canadian FSW program, but that would be after I get one year US work experience on graduation.
Well it's all a plan, hopefully God who brought this will perfect it.

TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 9 by Observant:
Wow i really don’t know how to feel right now.

Here is my story, I applied to study in Canada late 2014, my application was refused for insufficient funds for tuition and living expenses even though I paid first semester of my tuition (7000) and my sponsor had over 25M in her account
I reapplied again but it was refused for insufficient funds for tuition and personal assets, I realized the embassy wanted to see my own fund so Included my fixed deposits, my own statements and stock portfolio, paid off the entire tuition of 27,500 and applied the third time but the embassy did a full 180 reverse and refused my application for "your purpose of visit and length of stay". I was very sad and infuriated that the visa officers there are just playing games with me.
I so much wanted to study in Canada as my older brother and friends are all there but i knew it was time to look elsewhere for my graduate studies.
I was going to apply to Australia, which was my second option, but my entire family discouraged me and gave me zero moral support. They said Australia is far and out of the way so they won't be able to visit. They suggested applying to US.
Well i have always seen US as the big brother to Canada, so if Canada could do that to me i didn’t expect to stand a chance with the US.
I decided to process both countries Australia and US simultaneously; i contracted a renowned education agency that frustrated my life for months all in the name of processing my application. I have had to postpone my admission more than twice and last week after much quarrel, i received my i20 from them. i asked them when my application would be finished off, they said I should print another statement and they provided a list of another fresh documents different from the ones i already gave them.
I decided to conclude my application myself and ignore them.
I reviewed my ds-160 form, booked an appointment for today and submitted it.
As early as 6:50, i received an email from the school i applied to in Australia; it was an admission offer from the CQU Australia. (Of all mornings na this morning wey i dey go interview wey una go send am? well i took it as sign of better things to come).
I took a shower, ate better rice and plantain, went over my documents and left home around 11:30 for my interview schedule for 2:15.
I went through all the security process, when i got into the interview hall, o boy i was dazed to see people being interviewed openly. My moral dropped to -100%, my legs could not carry me any longer.
I am naturally a shy and introverted person so being interview openly was the least i expected.
One guy was being serious investigated, I’m not sure what the guy did but his passport was taken inside and he was left standing at the booth for over 15mins.

Well here goes the transcript

Me: Good day Sir
VO: Good Afternoon.
VO: Who is XXXXXX?
Me: XXXXXXX is my oldest sibling
VO: Why did you choose SNHU
ME: (With so much studding and choking) The Program MS Information Technology at SNHU lay emphasis on bridging the gap between communication, technology and business solution. It has three majors, Network security, Database management and Web design. I am interested in the Network security Major. (Trust me this didn't come out as you have read it, i could barely understand myself while i was saying it)

VO: Which Other school did you apply to?
Me: I applied to Valparaiso and WKU Western Kentucky University
VO: What does XXXXXXX do for a living?
Me: XXXXXX is an assistant bank manager at YYYYYYbank
VO: What do you do?
ME: I work at BBBBBBBBBBhotel as an IT administrator.
VO: Where is BBBBBBBB LOCATED?
Me: Lekki phase one
VO: Do you have family in US
ME: NO
VO: Do you have relatives in US
ME: NO
VO: Do you have friends in US (by now he has dropped my passport in a tray beside him and brought out a white paper.)
Me: No, oh Yes i do (V.O pauses and holds back the white paper), i explained further " it’s a childhood friend who left when we were still in secondary school).
VO: In which state does he live?
Me: Texas (V.O give me the white paper)
VO: Your Visa has been approved pick up your passport in 3 days’ time.
Till now i am still dazed and in disbelieve, there was nothing spectacular about what i said adding to the fact that i choked severally while saying it. The VO was virtually not interested in what i had to say as he was looking at his computer screen and typing 90% of the interview duration.

Finally I will be giving up my Australian dream to embrace what the LORD has done.
I am not the most prayerful, sinless or holy, but what i happened to me today was clearly a divine intervention.
I called my mother to tell her and she is already crying saying
"So you are going to staying in that country alone" (She would have preferred Canada so I will be close to my brother)
I am the last child of my family, everyone’s favorite at home and i am very hard working too.
To everyone out there, i think there is a little bit of faith in everything we do, sometimes we can't fight faith.
Your faith may be somewhere else while you look in another, but must importantly don't give up.

Please house, i will be needing contact of anyone already in Southern New Hampshire University for further enquiries.
God bless you all and thank you for your contributions so far.

One love

Let's be fair, most oil companies are sacking workers around the world because of the fall in oil prices. Job losses have occured in America and the UK to give two examples.

I won't be surprised if Nigeria gets affected.

Thing is, this is another sign that our dependence on oil is wrong. APC must move from oil dependent economies to industrial dependent economic structure....no matter how hard the road may be.
Yes that rights but then the soldier came in commando style to handle the Niger Delta which lead them to blow up and ensure that the already fallen oil price becomes almost none available. The commandant did this knowing fully well that where oil leads in Nigeria, the rest follow.

Ok bro. So what's your plan concerning the new visa requirements. I don't seem to know much about it. You can send me a mail oladejiray@gmail.com
The new SSVF did not really elaborate on eligible sponsors and that's where i don't understand.
I am no be sponsored by an older sibling but the financial requirement and evidence section isn't clear about eligible sponsors and financial requirement.

For instance,

Twelve months' funds option
Evidence of funds can include money deposits, financial institution or government loans, scholarships or sponsorship's.
Which Sponsorships? By Whom? Who is Eligible to Sponsor under this criteria?

Annual income option

The income demonstrated must be the personal income of your spouse (who is not coming with you) or parents. Where both of your parents are working, their combined income can be considered for this requirement.

Evidence must be in the form of official government documents such as tax assessments. Evidence in the form of bank statements or information directly from an employer is not acceptable.

I just don't understand and i dont want to assume anything, man for just try escape this new policy.

or

evidence that your spouse or parents are willing to support you and they have an annual income of at least AUD 60,000 for single students or at least AUD 70,000 for students that are accompanied by family members.

Its says an applicant should present a statement of account or fixed deposit showing funds for 12 months living expenses and tuition.

They also said applicant can present that of a sponsor who is a spouse or applicants parents. There was no mention of siblings or distance relatives.
