Travel / Re: Lokoja City Drive Through: Pictures & Video by ocelot2006(m): 12:34pm On May 01, 2022 |
I'm sorry, but Lokoja is just....zero. a clear indication of continuous poor leadership that has plagued Kogi for a long time. A sensible leader would've taken taken advantage of Lokoja's strategic location as major transit hub, just like Benin, to generate much needed Revenue that's then invested in the city's.....sorry, village's infrastructure. And being a confluence town, I don't see why they haven't taken advantage of that e.g. marine services transporting people btw the farmlands of the North down commercial south via the Niger river. 1 Like |
Foreign Affairs / Re: The Guardian View On Putin’s Nuclear Threats Russia Is Losing In Ukraine by ocelot2006(m): 11:49pm On Apr 30, 2022 |
Is the Guardian actually observing what's happening in eastern Ukraine? The Russians are already, capturing territory, while inflicting major blows on the Ukrainians, with the Ukrainians on the Back foot.....yet they think the Russians are losing? Really?? |

It's settled then. Poland and Bulgaria can go power/warm their homes and industries with same weapons they're sending to Ukraine. |

Foreign Affairs / Re: UK Says Russia Has Made ‘no Major Gains’ In Last 24 Hours by ocelot2006(m): 7:39pm On Apr 23, 2022 |
Some of you folks are funny. You expect the Russians to make major gains in TWENTY FOUR HOURS?? Haba! Even the Americans with the combined might of other nations never made such gains during the Gulf wars. Keep in mind that the Russians have learnt the mistakes from the operations up north. That means no more mad armoured dashes with very thin logistics lines, and no more daring forward air assault ops by the VDV. Now the Russians are being very cautious. That means probing attacks, A LOT OF FIREPOWER down range to soften the enemy, then the Battalion Tactical Groups move in for the kill. 4 Likes |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Russian Forces Capture First City In Battle For Donbas by ocelot2006(m): 1:58am On Apr 22, 2022 |
Ukraine is winning......on social media. Seriously, the Russians have taken the lessons from the ops up north and have gone back to their tried and tested combat doctrine. No more daring airborne raids with the VDV or mad armoured dashes. Now it's scorched earth policy with massive fire power followed by an armoured/mechanized push by their Battalion Tactical Groups with dismounted infantry plus air cover with attack helicopters and Su-25 Frogfoots. |

This is not true. Ukraine destroyed 40,000,000 Russian troops, 60,000,000 tanks, 250 Air craft carriers on land, 100 Death Stars, 1 gazillion Russian aircraft, 20 gazillion Russian space crafts. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

SlavaUkraine: 1st of all I'm not the OP. 2nd, USE YOUR BRAIN. Yes the ship may have been hit and is already lost. Whether fire or missile strikes, there's absolutely no way there wouldn't have been casualties. But FIVE HUNDRED Abegi! Tell me another story. 3rd, the Ukrainians are the ones telling the truth, abi? As in, 20,000 Russians killed plus 1,000000000000000 tanks destroyed and 50000000000000000 aircrafts destroyed, yet they only lost 3,000? See miracle! |

Foreign Affairs / Re: Nuclear Missiles sank With Putin's Flagship Moskva & Hundreds sailors are Dead by ocelot2006(m): 5:21pm On Apr 15, 2022 |
I'm sorry, but this story about drowned Russian sailors is crap for one (1) reason: (1)When the incident on the MOSKCA went off (missile strike/ammo fire) it didn't sink immediately and was actually being towed back to Sevastopol. This was confirmed by the Americans. That gives the crew ample time to have abandoned the ship. So how did they automatically lose 500+ sailors? It makes ZERO sense. As for whether nukes were present onboard, I can't say. But I'm certain the Russians will take the necessary measures to salvage them if the story is true. |

Foreign Affairs / Re: Russia Confirms Moskva Ship Has Sunk After Reported Ukrainian Missile Strike by ocelot2006(m): 11:22pm On Apr 14, 2022 |
grandstar: On the highlighted paragraph, I think you're wrong. Russia never had any intention of taking over the whole Ukrainian territory from the very start. You only have to look at the number of troops involved (200,000 only) from the onset, and even the type of troops. Ukraine is MASSIVE. In my opinion, decapitating the leadership at Kyiv was indeed an objective, but that changed from week 2/3, hence the change in strategy. If the Russians are able to liberate the remaining Donbass territories from the administrative line of control to Russia's western borders, then they've achieved one of their objectives. If they're able to capture Dnipro, destroy the Ukrainian forces in the Cauldron and hold off any counter attack from western Ukraine, then it's another plus for them as they would've successfully divided Ukraine between East and West. Throw in the Naval blockade, and Ukraine will honestly be screwed economically. 1 Like |

Hmmm.....I must say that this is a major embarrassment for the Russian Military and the Russian Federation at large if the story of the Black Sea Fleet Flagship sunk. The fleet's FLAGSHIP??! So what happens when the donated Harpoons are fully activated? There are so many questions that need to be answered. What happened to the ship's defence systems or that of other ships within the fleet in combat? This probably won't affect cruise missile strikes and the Naval blockade of Ukraine's coastline will still hold, but any amphibious operations against Odessa are now out of the question for now, unless Russian Navy takes out those Ukranian Coastal Defence systems of Neptune and Harpoon Anti-ship missiles. And I'm willing to bet that they're on mobile launchers. When this war ends, the Russians will have to sit down, assess their military capabilities, and invest in upgrades, tactics, and strategy from the very bottom to the very top. Anyway, the Ukrainians have clearly won this bout. This is a major blackeye for Russia. 7 Likes |
