Techwriter: Yaraduas depreciating health and consequent death was a top secret and it angered Nigerians why it should be that Thuraya kept Jona from ascending the throne. Now it GEJ turn and he is towing the same route.yaradua;s health was never a secret, right from the time he won the primaries, the health issues were brought up and when he appeared on tv with all sorts of blemishes on his face, it was an uncoverable secret. |
Now seriously i have to quote someone here, " how does this affect the price of garri in the market, my fellow widows? |
taharqa: 3 Pages and not single person have put forward a single ECONOMIC reason why this is a bad move. You keep hearing abut the introduction causing inflation yet no DATA is presented to shore up the argument; in fact, the DATA both here in Nigeria and in more advanced Economies, show little or no correlation between Inflation and Currency Denomination. Most of the arguments(if you can actually call the opposition an argument) against the policy are just anti-intellectual- just unbridled expressions of EMOTION and FEAR, Period. Imagine some persons "arguing" that the introduction of #5, #10, #20 coins would mean that products sold for say #10 would sell for #50 cos "Nigerians do not like coins"(that the present notes and the proposed coins would run side-by-side till the transition is effected is lost on them ). We also have some persons "arguing" that products/services presently going for say #4500 would be rounded up to #5000 as there are no items selling for #9400, #460 and #60 presently. You have to understand that this is nigeria and things are not well documented but they are well felt. The usa has large denominations yet they are not introduced in the market. Why? For a government that was bent on a cashless policy to now introduce a higher currency then something is wrong somewhere, Nigerians cant really explain it, but they know it. All the countries that have deniminations higher than 1000 except korea also have very bad economies.and you are right of all things to do now, is it the 5000 note that is going to be the breath of fresh air? |

awesome_t: Ever been to Europe?and asia? There are coins everywhere in other countries. |

I hate to be in Reuben abati shoes, constantly trying to defend a perceived weak president on the same social media that he used to campaign but the question is that if reuben abati was not earning from this government, would he be saying the same thing he is saying now. |
President Goodluck Jonathan Fasts All Days During Ramadan And Lent. Here is a man who is an epitome of loyalty and simplicity. The thing about the President’s critics is that they just cannot accept that someone with his simplicity can be their President. This is the Saul Complex. Saul could not accept the fact that somebody as simple as David could be favoured by God. And just like Saul threw the spear at David out of uncontrollable jealousy, these critics are out to throw any kind of spear to see which hits the target, hence all their lies about the President. Let me end by saying that the President is a simple man but simplicity is not naivety. If simplicity were to be naivety, then the world would not be where it is today because it is simple men like Abraham Lincoln, Mahatma Gandhi, - Martin Luther King, and Kwame Nkrumah, who have shaped the world that we live in by simplifying what others have complicated. -REUBEN ABATI, Special Adviser (Media and Publicity) to President Jonathan. |
kodred: perhaps we are all in a haste to judge quickly.....lets see hw it goes, afterall evrytin has its advantages nd disadvantagesYeah, people like you are the ones who sit back and see how it goes until you are destroyed. Haven't you seen how the fuel subsidy went?, where you not in Nigeria when the N1000 note was introduced, from that time till now, how has inflation been? Nigeria has one of the highest inflation rates in the world at present and you are sitting down and seeing how it is going. |
why not simply get a NIV bible instead of King James version. GO to bible gateway. com and check several versions. 2 Thessalonians 2:3 Contemporary English Version (CEV) 3 But don’t be fooled! People will rebel against God. Then before the Lord returns, the wicked[a] one who is doomed to be destroyed will appear. Romans 11:25 Contemporary English Version (CEV) The People of Israel Will Be Brought Back 25 My friends, I don’t want you Gentiles to be too proud of yourselves. So I will explain the mystery of what has happened to the people of Israel. Some of them have become stubborn, and they will stay like that until the complete number of you Gentiles has come in. |
The South African authorities have jailed a Nigerian man, Ekene Chukwu popularly known as KC for partaking in a recent armed robbery operation that took place some six months ago in Cape Town, South Africa.http://www.leadership.ng/nga/articles/33214/2012/08/23/nigerian_man_jailed_south_africa_armed_robbery.html |
talk true: Its a pity but waec need to be rebrand. They are really frustrating people.I marked WAEC last year, but i couldnt this year because i was not in the country at that time. There is nothing wrong with WAEC, the questions are very standard and they improve them each year, that is the only reason while some Nigerians are able to do well in other countries, when they go. The level of education and seriousness in Nigeria is what is falling, and waec is making their exams stricter. The level of Education in Nigeria is really terrible. last year when i marked , the highest in the maths theory was 29 % from a northern centre, and it was even very obvious that they all copied , yet they still scored very low. They are obviously going to get F9 parallel in that centre. one even wrote a letter to the marker and complained that the reason they could not answer the questions is because they had a very long break. |
We have no power to prevent ourselves being born: but we can rectify this error - for it is sometimes an error. -Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900) I don't think suicide is so terrible; in fact, I find it quite vital. Everybody should choose life every day. Some rainy winter Sundays when there's a little boredom, you should always carry a gun -- not to shoot yourself, but to know exactly that you're always making a choice. It's a small cure against anguish, and if the cure fails and you kill and free yourself, it's okay because the world is overpopulated anyway. Lina Wertmuller (b.1929) |

@ poster, open your eyes and desist from selfishness, someone that is not your child, if everybody taught like that the world would even be worse than this. Studying abroad has a advantage depending on where they are going and what they are studying. if you can help, then dont withhold it, especially if that relative has a focus. |
solomon111: ^^I dont really think india is more corrupt than Nigeria. Nigeria has hypocrisy and corruption together, the other countries just corruption. |
