safarigirl: who told you Melvin doesn't have an X-factor?

Melvin's X-factor is that he is humble. Africans are surprised that he isn't the stereotypical Nigerian, case-in-point Feza and Annabel who made this same comment.

Melvin makes it difficult for his haters to hate, many have testified, as it stands only Nigerians have anything bad to say about him, others are full of praises.

You say in week 2 a South african said Naija won't win cos their reps won't make it? That's a joke cos that has been said about ALL our reps from Kevin to Melvin, we all know how that ended.

Btw, in week 2, we didn't know squat about anyone to make judgments so that don't count cos everyone thought Hakeem, Nando, Bassey and Pokello could win then, what happened?
Gracias

safarigirl: Elikem: "I'll prove to you guys that a Ghanaian must win, two Nigerians vs. One Ghanaian"

Elikem: "Nigeria must go"

Team anti-elikem reporting live from akamu network
If he really said this, then he's plotting for his downfall. Africa are watching, twitter is buzzing, at the end of the day it MIGHT come back to bite his asz. That's a really bad thing to say and it has killed his game(that's if he really said it)

I don't know where you get this ackward thinking that I will vote elikem over melvin. It's absurd and an insult to my intelligence. Please stop. I'll vote melvin and beverly first over elikem. It doesn't mean I hate but my reps comes first

And please, fucck those FB and TWEEPS, their rants and foaming at mouths can't stop melvin or ANY OTHER HMS from winning. Jeeezzz!!.

[quote author=♛AndrERush♛]Jeez. it's funny how people can just completely make up something and try to pass it around as the truth, to back up their point.

safarigirl: I don't hat Elikem cos they're hyping him bros, maybe you skipped my last 5 posts.

I said I was indifferent to him and that indifference leaned more on dislike, it's the HYPING HIM AND BRINGING MELVIN DOWN IN THE PROCESS that I'm mad at.

Btw, why una never quote kslib too? Abi na only me rant against Elikem? I never finish o, no be even Elikem I dey attack na Nigerians
Hyping elikem CAN NEVER win him that money, so don't sweat it. Same goes to MELVIN. If melvin will win it, he will, if elikem will win, he will. There's nothing we can do about it cos NIGERIA is but a country vote.

I quoted @kslib's reply to @domnique cos I wanted to and I think he gave a good reponse to her. I didn't quote @Kslib's last post cos HE COPIED WHAT YOU SAID and it's obvious the stuff he's tryna achieve with that post of his, which I've already addressed when I quoted the original poster(YOU), so my answer to you is the same to him. Repeating my exact word to him is tantamount to flogging a dead horse RIGHT NOW

If you read newspapers and novels and books in general like an educated person should do, you will not only know the meaning of words but how to use them correctly while constantly increasing your knowledge about many things. It is a shame, some people's closest contact with literature is reading posts on nairaland! grin

safarigirl: @ochongonoko, like I said, I used to be indifferent about Elikem, until certain people on here began hyping Elikem and insulting Melvin ie the 'unbiased' group, including YOU, Mr. On-the-fence.

Someone even has the liver to call Melvin a coward "unlike Elikem", why couldn't Elikem let Bimp participate in the HOH rather than side-line him if he was so 'brave'? Why is the 'brave smart' niqqa scared to be up for eviction? But the 'stewpid' coward Melvin left himself up?

Everything Melvin does is 'stewpid' in our eyes, but everything Elikem does is 'smart'. If it was Melvin that Pokello had been stringing along like she did Elikem, y'all would have called him a poohsie and even asked for his head.

Kevin was too short,Nkenna was a talkative, Geraldine was a mute, Uti was too arrogant, Karen was too ugly, Goldie was too emotional, Beverly is a liar, Melvin is too slow...even if Jesus reps us, he'll be too compassionate for Nigerians. SMH for all of you, the worst thing that can happen to anyone is to be a Nigerian rep

Thank God Mel didn't win HOH sef, let him not shoot himself more than y'all have already shot him
One thing you can't deny is that I've NEVER called melvin A COWARD, BORITE and other words used to describe him. I repeat, I've NEVER done that. He's my rep and I don't badmouth him and some of those that call him such names are even your fellow nigerians. It's clear that your TIRADES against elikem was not true(or if true, you went over board) but cos of the HYPE of ELIKEM in recent weeks. How shocking!!. How can you hate elikem cos people praised him?. Should the all HYPE be reserved for melvin?. Huh?. How does hyping elikem helped elikem to get to the finals?. C'mon safari, you're just being biased. Even dillish that was HYPED more than elikem has NEVER gotten this bashing from you but rather you WISH bimp gets to the final to stop her from winning(which I subscribe to). Your vile words are overboard just cuz of people PRAISING(it's not HYPE cos he deserves those words of admonishing)

@the bolded, what do you mean by "stupidd in 'OUR' eyes?. Who are the OUR?. Definitely not me, some people here and the THOUSANDS/MILLIONS of melvin fans so before you generalise, count me out!!. The way you see things, it's like NO BAD WORD should be linked to melvin at all(I'm not saying he should be called stewpid). Haba.. Is he a God?. Chillax please!!

safarigirl: I used to be inddiferent towards Elikem, but the likes of dominique really made me dislike him

It's okay to like the dide but comparing him to Melvin is wrong. Comments like "why can't Melvin be more like Elikem" and "Elikem is smarter than Melvin" really irk me. Has anyone ever seen chriskwaku or GH Patriot saying "why can't Melvin be more like Elikem"?

Elikem is a careless talkative, but have you guys ever seen any Ghanaian saying anything about it? Meanwhile Nigerians are quick to write epistles about how slow Melvin is and how he's 'not as smart as Elikem' (they know themselves)

This same Melvin that has been keeping Elikem grounded whenever the rope he uses to start his generator mouth turns loose.

Abeg make I dey watch Elikish jare, maybe two of them sef can 'help' each other *evil grin*
@bolded, haba safarigirl, @ghana kwame, @chriskwaku and @royal pearl has spoken out against elikem's verbal diarrhoea. It's okay to defend your actions but don't lie against them just to sound right. Don't pay blind eye to their several posts condemining elikem's talkativeness

@your entire post, don't hate elikem because of others. Hate on him cos of his sctions and what you see. Have a mind of your own. Kslib: And what da fuuucking Bleep is the bolded suppose to mean?
Who are you to come out and say our reps dont deserve the money cos they have been below par according to your standards?
Look, all this hypocrisy posts from the so called 'unbiased peeps' in here is really getting on my nerves..
Its ok to say the truth but stop being a hypocrite.. If someone had come out to say elikem doesnt deserve the money cos he has been below par,you will be the first person to attack the person of being bitter and hypocritical.
Its ok for you to say our reps dont deserve the money but wrong for someone else to say elikem doesnt deserve the money..
Its not really my business if you want elikem to win the money but stop being bias!!! You are guilty of the same thing you are accusing others of doing!!
There is very thing line btw being unbiased and hypocritical...

I, For one, think melvin deserves the money. He's my rep and I'll stand by him with the last I've got, BUT I WLL NEVER say all those hate filled words against elikem because he stands in the way of my rep. If elikem acted like OWLNEAL and co, I'll even start a hate campaign against him but none of his actions derserves the kind of words @safarigirl used on him. It's shocking!!.

safarigirl: I don talk am before, whether na out of bitterness or not, it will not change the fact that that arrogant, gossiping, eediotic, braaging, egotistic tailor will NEVER win.
.
I admire your tenacity, your views, your permutations and your desire to defend your actions on here safarigirl, but the above quoted post is uncalled for.

Through out this ensuing drama that unfolded with elikem winning HOH, I kep mute and watched from the sidelines, not even updating and allowing the banter to gon, but this part of your posts hurt me. Worse things might have been said about owlneal and co, but I find it's sickening that you CHOSE to unleash this venoms on elikem on seeing that he's automatically qualified for the final. You went in hard on elikem the sunday of the week he was up with sulu and annabelle, bringing up about his past sayings to nigeria which were bad. I ignored it but on seeing the above post, I now know the motive behind your diatribes

TBH with you, elikem not reaching the final will give melvin(who's BTW my rep) a higher chance of winning. I'll be a bloody liar not to admit it. I'll be lying to myself not to agree, but what I don't subscribe to is vile vituperations on elikem for getting to the finals. Elikem has gone through a lot, but good and bad to be in that finals and it won't kill to rejoice with him for once for his achievement(HOH is a BIG achievement as long as BBA is concerned)

If YOU can champion the cause of BIMP who has badmouthed WA, conspired against MELVIN, to reach the final, totally forgiving him for strategic reasons, then it's hypocritcal of YOU to forget about bimp's sins and bring up ELIKEM'S faults because you didn't want him making the finals or cause he doesn't deserve to win. I'm really disappointed with your words @safarigirl. Well it's your opinion and you're entitled to it

Always knows this, if the case of owlneal and elikem can't teach you that whom GOD/FATE(in general)or AFRICA(in BBA) has decided will reach the final and win, will be the one to get to the final/win, THEN NOTHING ELSE CAN

bizmahn: The right decision should rather be to create also an exclusive christian & atheist section & then probably a general religion section.Nothing difficult about that. This should settle the matter for everyone once & for all.
As simple as ABC. Stop treating ISLAM biasely above other religions. Give us our own subsections. Must we threaten you like moslems before you act fairly?. Haba!!
Nairaland General › Re: Has Manmustwac Been Sacked? by ochon: 10:37am On Aug 09, 2013
Some of y'all make me laugh. I repeat, UNTIL A SEPERATE SUBSECTIONS FOR CHRISTIANS AND ATHIESTS(each having theirs) is created, we will keep having this tensions. If we want to cut down a tree, we'll start from it's ROOT

If islam can have their own section, aint it HYPOCRITICAL for seun to BIASELY give islam their own subsection?. This is one of the source of grievance from most uesers here. Must we in multitude cry out before seun stop favouring moslems alone?. For chrissakes, this is a NAIRALAND forum not an ISLAM forum and as such, EVERY RELIGION deserves equal respect. Just because ahteist and christainity doesn't spread violence like islam doesn't make it right. we're your customers and we deserve respect. Y'all should prioritise your decisions!!. Suggesting a NEW MOD for seun is an insult to FAIRNESS. He can as well choose the new MOD behind the scene as he fired him behind the scene.

This should be our priority

1) Ask for atheists and christains to have their different SUBSECTIONS

2) Request to have an atheist and a christain "MODERATING" the atheist and christain subsection respectively

3) Since maclatunji has decided to bring up a non-existent rule, seun should go ahead to create a rule whereby NON-CHRISTAINS are forbidden to create threads on CHRISTAINITY SUBSECTIONS, NON-MUSLIMS ARE FORBIDDEN TO CREATE THREADS ON ISLAMIC SUBSECTIONS and this same rules should apply for the ATHEIST

Let's all clamour for the above suggestions before suggesting who will replace MMW, if not, prepare for another tension when maclatunji goes about unbiasely hiding threads from christains on islamic sections.

Cheers

GeneralShepherd: In the name of fair hearing I will point out the hypocrisy in your post. It is absurd that it had to get to the point of Seun himself asking you to respond before you could come off your high-horse to respond to us 'infidels', it just goes on to prove that you Mr. Tunji does not have any shred of regard for non-muslims.

Need I remind you that Roymcpain deliberately started a thread to insult the sensibilities of Christians, by attacking and ridiculing the word of God. Anyway he utmost contempt for your fellow MOD MMW is actually the bone of contention not the
Chriskid's thread.

I believe MMW's e-character has been consistent over the years and if you had given him a response (which he deserves by the way), he would have dissuaded pacified Chris and all this wouldnt have happened.

We agree Non-Muslims should not interpret the Quoran, please if you want to maintain the uneasy calm that exists in nairaland religious section, that you should admonish your foot soldiers to remain in the confines of your republic of Islam section, because like Isaac Newton rightly said actions and reaction are equal and opposite in direction.

If you are really a righteous peace loving Muslim and moderator, why didn't you just ask MMW to invoke his MOD privileges and shutdown ROyMcpain's thread to avoid all this controversy. why hide his complain? is he too little to ask the almighty Tunji for an explanation?

I do not care when Logicboy(sorry for picking just your name) equates Jesus to the spaghetti monster, you know why? he also allows me to critically examine his point of view too. if a Muslim flagrantly challenges the bible then you would be living in a fools' paradise not expect a reply.

Seun: I'm sorry that you all hate my decision, but I will not reinstate manmustwac because that would be a stupid mistake on my part. I understand that I will be demonized and called all sorts of horrible names for this, but I'm now 100% sure that manmustwac deserves his removal.

My decision to appoint real Christian moderators was made a long time ago, because I noticed that the current moderators were contributing to the perception of pro-muslim bias because they refused to submit pro-Christian topics for the home page even on Sundays. Jesoul was inactive and manmustwac only seemed to recommend anti-Christian topics for the home page, so I've been planning to fix that.
MMW, be a man and move on. @seun has made his decision and there nothing you can do about it. It's his biz and has decided to run it unfairly and his decision is final.

I take solace that you didn't apologise for maclatunji's hypocritcal acts.. Walk away with your head held high. It's clear that you've been marked for REMOVAL and your quest for justice has lead to it. Cheers
Nairaland General › Re: Has Manmustwac Been Sacked? by ochon:
maclatunji: As Seun requested, my reason for hiding Christkid's post which seems to be the source of controversy:
On many occasions, I've read a topic by atheists, tryna quote the bible outta context or trying to prove to christains that God doesn't exist or trying to seek explanation to some certain facts(though the intent is to spite us), but in ALL those times, we've acted maturely and tried our best to school or educate them on what christainity entails, trying to give them the answers they're looking. They might not have agreed but we don't go about hidding their thread. It hurts us too when our believe in God is questioned or when some atheists calls our God some offensive names or that he doesn't exist, but instead of being intolerant on a forum that allows tolerancy, we discuss the matters they present. If the christains can allow moslems et al to open threads to question our beliefs, why can't we open threads to questions yours?. What's wrong in having sister or brother thread to a similar topic. I've seen dozen of them over the years when I was still a guest. What you as a true a TOLERANT moslem or someone under the NL forum should've done was to EDUCATE him together with your fellow moslems on what quaran and islamic belief said, explaning what islam said about his questions not hiding his thread. If BROTHER/SISTER threads are not hidden and even makes FP, why should @christkid's own be hidden. Aint that hypocrisy?.

Well, since I've seen what really went down and your defense rejoinder, all I can tell seun is to create a rule that says

MOSLEMS OR ATHEISTS SHOULD NOT OPEN ANY THREAD TO SPITE OR ASK CHRISTAINS QUESTIONS OR SEEK ANSWERS AND VICE VERSA

We can't be goverened by a hypocritical rule. Since NL is a fascist system of government, it should be applied to ALL not to CHRISTAINS alone.

Seun, if islam can have their own section, why can't christains and atheists have theirs?. This is the root of all this fracas and you HYPOCRITICALLY caused it all. You allow rules to be bended for ONE religion and none for others. HYPOCRISY!!. It took the crying out of MANY xtains on here for you to make the former rule for ONLY ISLAM, applicable to other religions. Why?. Stop being one-sided and act fairly

Beloved1993: You hit the nail on the head! Mehn, I though I was the only one that understood what Seun was saying. Many people here claim to be smart but they can't run companies. Seun had to do what he did to protect his brand and not give precedence to other mods. You can't have a mod retaliating ('or taking care of it his own way' in his words) when he should be leading by example, if Tunji faltered or made a mistake, the mod should have reported to Seun instead of wanting to retaliate. You can't have someone like that on your team.
And what's the big deal in him contacting Seun about his suspension?
Which kain nail did he hit on the head?. Didn't maclatunji took care of "it, his own way?". If moslems can create a topic on christain section and it's not hidden, why can't a christain create a thread on islam without it getting hidden?. Nairaland General › Re: Has Manmustwac Been Sacked? by ochon: 8:42am On Aug 09, 2013
manmustwac: Let me just briefly explain what lead to the whole incident here. I received a complaint from Christ Kid telling me that his topic had been hidden and he had been banned for two weeks in the muslim section for being a nuisance. I looked at his topic in the muslim section to find that his opening post had been hidden. (Hidden posts are visible to all mods they're just shaded in a dark greyish colour) I saw a link on his topic clicked on the link to find out that the link led to a topic by RoyPcain topic in the religion section and that Christ Kids topic was a copycat topic of RoyPcain's topic which was questioning Christianity.

I sent a post to mac asking why Christ Kid's opening post in his topic had been hidden but he just hid my post. I sent him another post asking him why again and he hid also. So i made a topic about the issue in the mod section and he just ignored it.

Then i received a message from logic boy. This is his message and my reply:

Once upon a time the religion section co existed with both Muslims & Christians peacefully until a muslim terroist threatened Seun, the State leaders life if he didnt divide the religion section. Seun took this threat to his life serious therefore divided the religion section into North & South. Now the North which is being governed by Maclatunji has decided to take matters into his own hands by going against the state's rules & regulations & imposing his own Sharia laws against. Visiting Southerners. Isnt this proof that Islam is an intollerant religion

I made a. Complaint in another section which is for us mods only but it seems as if nothing much is being done or my complaint is being ignored. Therefore i will just take matters into my own hands & deal wirh the problem in my own way.

I thought i had been banned for the part highlighted in red not for the part highlighted in black. I can easily defend what i said highlighted in black

What i actually meant by that comment was that since a mod in the Islamic section can ban a christian (Christ Kid) for two weeks for just posting a topic that was deemed to be breaking a pacticular rule according to them, then likewise me, who usually bans members for 48 hours will do the same and ban a muslims for 2 weeks for breaking rules like the muslim mod dose.

Also since RoyPcain can open a topic in the religion section questioning christians beliefs but Christ kid cannot open (and gets banned) for opening a similar topic questioning muslims belief in the muslim section i was going to scrutinise all islamic topics and do the same thing that the mods in the muslim section do when they see topics from christians that they don't like. Thats what i meant when i said Therefore i will just take matters into my own hands & deal wirh the problem in my own way

You have to look at everything in context. Am a mod part of my job is to deal with situations. Nobody likes to feel hard done by or cheated so i was just doing my best for our members. I was expecting you to pm me explaining why i was removed and you were expecting me to pm you to ask why i was removed. Actually i thought your decision was final. Ididn't think there was any hope until i went through all the pages of this thread. Well i hope everything makes sense now and that i can be reinstated wink
