Look around U and see Chinese technology, cheap but efficient.
A phone that is touch screen& has WIFI yet is under 20k is truly budget.

are you sure your phone is Tecno T8? I bought my T8 at a store in Ikeja and was given a wrist watch from Tecno as gift. My T8 is a full Touch Screen phone with WIFI and so far i have not experience the type of problems you had with your phone. Be sure its original and bought from a Tecno dealer,

I use the T8 too but I'm not so carried away by it
Apart from been touchscreen and having WIFI, it's just like any other low end phone [correct me if I'm wrong].
It lacks 3G and the camera is wack.
Believe it can be a better product with all its hype.

1) Hospitals when they are sick.
2) Stop using Mobile phones.
3) Stop using cars, Earoplanes and all mechcal divices.
4) Stop drinking tap water and go for Rain Water (direct from Allah).
5) Stop wearing clothes made by western technology and wear those weaven by mujaheedens.
6) Stop using building materials made by western technology and use natural materials like grasses, mude.
7) Stop using electricity and use only Sun and Moon.
Stop using electronics like TV, Radio, Computers etc becuase they are made by "infidels".
9) Stop reading koran that is printed by Western Technology Printers and read those written by hand.
10) Stop using fans, ACs, heaters and all products made by infidels especially Chinese who don't believe in any diety. Chinese believe they are gods to themselves.
11) Stop using cash and Robbing Banks because they are all western products. And go for trade by Bata.
12) Withdraw from Government employment and go to mosques and be praying 24/7 till their death to enter aljan.
Thats when I will know they are really against western education.

@ OP, Good post though outdated in many respects.

No 1 is saying anything about Nokia's tie up with Windows. Nokia might be on the back burner for now yet every knows they make great hardware for their phones. Won't the Microsoft deal help reposition them especially price and mass production have worked for them in the past. Don't rule them out shipping in some very cheap smartphones[18-35k] for the low budget spectrum of the market while also competing with iOS & Andriod based phones at the middle based and high end consumers. You don't become no 1 phone maker in the wporld without learning 1 or 2 things along the way.

Iphone 4 might be great but no 1 is mentioning Samsung Galaxy 2 which to me is an Iphone killer. Little wonder Apple has a selling ban in place against the phone in Germany& some other places.

Ability to come through & weather your challenges against all odds. If 9ja doesn't break U, no other place on this planet can.

Genuine self confidence.Even Oyinbos trip for this innate quality found in many a Nigerian.

For me what matter most for a Master's degree is the content and the broad nature of the course of study.

Personally, from experience, I would recommend Academic masters over professional (industrial)Masters especially in the area of IT & Engineering.

Academic masters gives you that broad knowledge you require to become a 'leader' in your field and more recently in the UK, Academic Masters have been rejigged to have atleast 20% management + 60% Technical + 20% group simulated activity.This no doubt gives you the flexibility you need to be able to negotiate your professional progression.

However, it all boils down to why you need the Masters degree. I know too well in Nigeria, degrees are mainly for monetary reward as in position to be occupied rather than the quest for the individual to broaden knowledge and develop technical competence or otherwise.

Personally, I have this conundrum too but have decided to go the Academic masters route as opposed to an professional Masters in IT Security.

Yahoo's decline actually started when Jerry Yang held out for more money despite Microsoft's generous take it or leave offer for the company back in 2008/9. Like Humpty Dumpty, Yahoo has been in free fall since Microsoft withdrew the offer despite their attempts to patch her up. Microsoft would have that headache had they sold. Nokia in this regard is smarter. They make cool phone hardware but lack a serious cutting edge software wise. They've seen they cant match with Apple's iOS nor Google's Andriod in the coming smartphones war thus their alliance with Microsoft for Windows Phone 7/8. Expect RIM -Blackberry maker- if they can't evolve too, to be the next one to bleed.
