AutosRe: 9 Tips For Saving On Fuel Consumption by ochukoccna: 1:24pm On Nov 16, 2012
einstein1: 2. Buy gasoline during coolest time of day - early morning or late evening is best. so you can get more fuel for your money. During these times petrol is densest. Keep in mind - petrol pumps measure volumes of gasoline, not densities of fuel concentration. You are charged according to "volume of measurement".

Back in the day a jehri curl spotting Reverend Oritsejafor visited us at Unilag and was selling white handkerchiefs for 100 Naira. At that time these handkerchiefs were selling for 10 Naira a piece.
We were meant to use these handkies to wipe our faces for retentive memories.

PoliticsRe: Lagos Police Attempts To Cover Up Shooting Of Banker & Security Guard by ochukoccna: 10:26am On Nov 14, 2012
queensmith: The Punch aren't even making any sense on the matter, how exactly did they interview someone on life support? Telekinesis?

Neither party has any credibility, meanwhile I saw a photograph of the Banker and he didn't look like he was shot 5 times, not to ignore many that survive but and if he was why isnt he dead?

Not to exonerate the Nigerian police on the matter, they are obviously incompetent if shooting anyone in sight is their system. After not turning up on time, they expected the robbers to be waiting for them! shior
You probably didn't read this part of the report
If police said the guard is dead and PUNCH has let us in that he's alive, therein lies the answer tongue tongue
Also why is the police ALWAYS disputing news stories about them angry angry
Do they get it right all the time? shocked shocked
PUNCH however interviewed the supposedly dead security guard and he is presently on life support but is conscious at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja.

His uncle, who is a retired policeman said he was shot by the police and not by armed robbers.
Also the neighbors/ co-tenants are there to disprove this story, actually the neighbors stopped the man from getting shot dead by the police sad sad
When I read the PUNCH's report I shuddered at the stone age police tactics embarassed embarassed

PoliticsRe: Dialogue With Boko Haram Amount To “abysmal Appeasement.” – Soyinka by ochukoccna: 8:56am On Nov 10, 2012
Billyonaire: We are quick to adopt USA ideologies even when it doesn't work in our clime. Americ used their covet operators in Afghanistan via the afghan government to negotiate with the talibans and they accepted to form an all inclusive govermnent. America never succeeded on the war strategy that's why they resorted to diplomatic channels. JTF is pushing hard but we should not rely on one channel, if one more life is lost due to our negligence to adopt our natural common sense and start talking then we are not fit to be equipped with brains. Wole Soyinka is a literal icon that has my respect but when it comes to treaty, truce, conflict resolutions and whole sale import of arms from troubled asia into the hands of bh, we need to work on all fronts. We need to use talks to know the faces behind bh and if possible, eliminate them in future. Buhari Has been named as spokesperson for them, now we know who Boko haram is sympathetic and loyal to.
And which government do you know who negotiated with terrorists?
Not Russia with the Chechnyans
Even Spain told the ETA they had to announce an unconditional ceasefire
Same goes for Colombia and the FARC
PoliticsRe: UK Guardian - Nigerian Army's In A Shocking State by ochukoccna: 8:38am On Nov 10, 2012
Billyonaire: Cheap Propaganda by armo manufacturers and Imbeciles. Nigeria doesn't need war so we will not send our troops in harms way. Na when we reach Mali we go know, all this na to make us keep our gates open for mali boko ? Tufiakwa! don't use reverse engineering on us. Our troups are for checkpoints and road blocks and not for war. Can UK win a war ? Even America has lost her last 3 wars. The era of boots on ground is over. All we need is to load our nukes on our drones and wipe out the country that provoke us. 21st century war are cyber and am sure we got great minds in cyber warfar. Fvck you to the reporter.
The war in Afghanistan and Iraq are guerrilla wars not all out wars like the world wars
Thus different rules of engagements
Even the NA struggled with your militant brothers and the ongoing BH insurgency

PoliticsRe: Dino Melaye To Okonjo-iweala - Obama Saw Through You by ochukoccna: 10:39pm On Nov 08, 2012
redsun: Did she approve the payment to the thieves? On what ground? What are the criterias and what are the expections?

She doesnt seem to be doing very well, giving the kind of shrewd and accountable finacial background she came from,in as much as we know that world bank is the biggest thief in the book of "holy grail".

There seems to be alot of loose ends in her financial accountabilities. The system is not accounting for anything, they are just spending our monies at will.Gej spending billions on food, senators getting astronomical wages for doing nothing, some of them are even terrorists.Governors buying private jets with states allocations, while projects are undone.Militants and terrorists getting compasations for being destructive.Crime recoverd monies disappearing and convicts going scot free.So many loopholes

Not too long ago there was an ugly report of wasteful resources in her ministry, under her watchful eyes, for fumigation.
texazzpete: Sadly, Okonjo Iweala herself is a known liar and a poor Minister of Finance. Her poor showing during the subsidy hearings confirmed that.
She came on National TV and presented a bloated figure as subsidy payments for 2011 as a reason for removal of subsidy, only for her to admit under questioning that that sum also included Kerosene and some payment of subsidy arrears dating back to 2008.

Melaye, Iweala...scum, all of them.

Indications that President Goodluck Jonathan will seek re-election in 2015 emerged last night with a declaration by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs that the President’s transparent leadership and concrete performance would make Nigerians to ask him to run for a second term.
