The founder and Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide aka Winners’ Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, has criticised women who identified themselves as feminists against getting married. The clergyman, who gave the advice during a sermon to his congregation, specifically warned women against joining the feminist movement as he stated that feminism would lead to frustration and devastation.
He stated, “If feminist revolution is your vision, don’t attempt to get married, because it won’t work.”
Oyedepo lamented the alarming rate at which women nowadays ignored the Bible’s instruction to submit to their husbands because they regarded such instructions as outdated.
According to him, when the Bible says “submit yourself to your husband in everything,” women respond by saying, “No, not today, that was before. Right now, nobody can do that. We are co-heirs, male and female, no difference.”
Oyedepo continued, saying such women thought they were too smart for God to lead them. He said when they were told that “This is the way to go,” they respond saying, “No, let me educate you, God. You didn’t go to school, did you?”
The clergyman continued, “Right now, there is a feminine revolution. Then you get into feminine frustration and destiny devastation.

“You know something; no book on earth will ever overtake the Bible in currency. It is the eternal truth. While the earth remains, the truth of scriptures remains in force, you either choose to follow or go your way.
“For we can do nothing against the truth – no matter what civilisation we are talking about – but for the truth at all times.

“If feminist revolution is your vision, don’t attempt to get married, because it won’t work.”

The Osubi/ Warri airport which is managed by Shoreline Oil Services has sacked 80 percent of it's workers. The company attributed the retrenchment to the covid 19 pandemic. The retrenchment came as a surprise to the workers as they were not pre informed by the company of their sinister action to enable the prepare. Majority of the workers who have spent over 21, 15, 10, 7 years serving said they were suddenly laid off by Shoreline without compensation, payoff or gratuity. The workers alleged that they were paid only #35,000 ( thirty five thousand naira) in leu of notice as their take home package after many years of meritorious service.
One of the workers who pleaded anonimity said the company failed to honour the initial terms and conditions stated in their contact paper. It was gathered from a reliable source that the federal government had earlier given Shoreline an executive order to quit the airport as a result of it's gross incompetence and Hugh debt profile incurred by the company.
The retrenched workers alleged that during the previous months of the covid 19, workers were paid 50 percent and later, 30 percent and later less that 10 percent of their monthly salary before the final retrenchment.
The airport is not totally closed like other airports during this covid 19 as the airport serves oil companies working offshore and the workers were working fully and this great injustice is meted out them.

The fact is all engineering courses are good. What matters is the grade u graduated with wether pet, mech, chem, e/e, civil etc. As for those condemning petroleum engineering, the unemployment situations in Nigeria is not limited to only petroleum engineering graduates. It cuts across all disciplines. Just study what u have passion for and make sure u come out with good grade. I have even seen the so called elec, mech, civil, chem, graduates roaming the street. There are petroleum engineering guys that are swimming in money also. Remember that petroleum engineering graduates are not much compared to other popular engineering disciplines. It is true petroleum engineering is narrow but also a good course.

I knew right from time that FG will never equate HND with BSC. I was an HND holder in petroleum engineering and I took the pain to obtain my B.Eng from the university and today i hv both certificates. It took me 3 years to do that. My advice to to all HND holders is that they should try and upgrade themselves instead of waiting for FG to equate hnd ans BSC which will never happen. Today i can walk tall among my colleagues. I can now call myself a confirmed engineer instead of technologit. Do something all hnd holders and stop wailing.

My brother just try petroleum engineering. Reservoir simulation in petroleum engineering is hell. U will drive fluid flow equations till ur head goes blank. In petroleum engineering, u tap knowedge from geology, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, physics, mathematics etc. A lot of graph plotting. Come to drilling engineering is a bomb. Production as well.
