notindome: hi satellite gurus,
i want to ask if this cBand&Ku band set up is possible on a 1m dish:

16/17' east---------Kuband(amos/w3c)

20' east---------------Cband (primary LNBf) irib package

28.2' east---------------Kuband(multi tv)

36' east---------------Kuband(less important) dstv

Just thinking if its possible,cos of the mix of cband and kuband. It will solve my free to air needs. thank you.

Saipro: I disagree. South of the Benue & Niger, literally any good LNBF will work. I have a shelf loaded with Invacoms, Invertos, Avengers & all sorts - of various types. Most of them aren't worth the cash paid on them. Asides a particular Invacom (for reception of circular waves) & another amazing quad Avenger

I Hacked: but because may bee he is hobbies he may not use 1000 of euro for sat finder that will only be use for only one day but that does not mean that he don't know that it is the best

Zeetry: i didn't say anything about stbs having a particular range of symbol rates they work with,don't attribute that to me it is Odilibe who report so, guy get your fact right

Zeetry: strong dey try bross, all those receivers u mentioned are linux based, they've realised that DTH owners these days are encrypting there signals only to work on there box which are mainly linux based, hence their( strong) decision to produce linux receivers like 4329, 4300,4922,4922A etc

Ogojohn: What satellites will I be able to hit with this mesh dish at ONITSHA and in case I decides to replace this dish what size of pan dish can I use at my present location to get Nile sat?

Talenty: I called the guy in Lagos and he told me that Redline is 28,000 naira. It's really on a high side but considering the functions, it's worth it.

I am in accra at the moment and right now in my quest for Sky Uk on 28 degrees east i got this frequency.
11.082(H)/4.999 and 11.932(H)/4.999

kyleege: good morning guys, according to satbeams & tracksat updates eut 7a @ 7'east rdv,tv zimbo etc are on the sub-saharan beam with freq 21....... Now my question is which decoders are compatible with this freq above 12750.

sokopion: it is not for satellite gurus it is for those who can not reach good decoders
all the decoders i post here is just example you can also google for more or gurus here will add more to it

ayolacz: two of u are confused. c band or ku band signal does not determine the dish size u need to hit green on any satellite. what determines the dish size u need is the footprint of the satellite.

auchs: it means you can watch two different channels at same time with the decoder. Get two televisions for the decoder.
