Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Maguire are entangled in a power struggle over the Manchester United captaincy, the UK Sun reports.

It is understood interim manager Ralph Rangnick, Ronaldo and Maguire have had conversations about the England defender relinquishing the armband for the rest of the season.

Imo State Government led by Gov Hope Uzodinma has expressed readiness to launch a new security outfit on the 30th of November 2021.

A 60-year-old man, Bolaji Olarongbe, has been arrested in Ilorin by the Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, for alleged housebreaking and theft.

His accomplice, 45-year-old Moshood Shittu, was also arrested in connection with the matter.

Spokesman of the command, Babawale Afolabi, disclosed this in a statement in Ilorin on Tuesday.

He described Olarongbe as a receiver of stolen items and Shittu as the suspect who goes around to burgle people’s houses.

“Items recovered from the suspects hideout included laptops, android phones, phone accessories and DVD players among other valuables.”

Babawale, said “on Sunday, 07/11/2021, around 1300 hours, we received a complaint from one Yemisi Adefila (41) a resident of Oko Oba area of Gaa Akanbi in Ilorin, who came to report a case of housebreaking. [color=#d7e0c9]Cleaning Services In Nigeria[/color]

“She accused one Moshood Shittu of breaking into her parent’s house and carted away GoTV decoder, cylinder, DVD player and other valuables.”

No fewer than 24 people in a single household have been confirmed dead from food poisoning in Danzanke village, Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

The State Commissioner for Health, Dr Ali Innamem, who confirmed the incident on Tuesday said the members of the household used a type of fertiliser known as ‘Gishirin Lalle’ in Hausa, as seasoning in cooking food instead of salt.

Innamem explained that attempts to save the lives of the victims by providing medical care, proved abortive.

“Regrettably, the entire family who had the meal lost their lives except for two female members, who merely tasted the food and are currently responding to treatment.

“It is very important for the public to know that this incident, though preventable and not contagious, is extremely fatal even with the best of medical attention and care,” he said.

Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, has condemned President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive to the Attorney General of the Federation and Justice Minister, Abubakar Malami, to provide lands to serve as grazing routes for herdsmen .

Soyinka described Buhari’s comments as ‘unfortunate’, adding that the manner the Federal Government was handling agitations across Nigeria showed that it was not ready to listen to the people.
