For Cramjones, please check well before you publish next time. The effect of misinformation most times, cant be redeemed.

The poster or advertiser deliberately did not list OMOBOLA JOHNSON,the minister of communications, but listed petroleum.are they not in executive? Why did he also not list Agric minister,AKINWUMI ADESINA,is that not executive? What of OLUSEGUN AGANGA of ministry of trade and investment?is that not executive? He listed national health insurance scheme but did not mention NATIONAL INSURANCE COMMISION(NAICOM) led by FOLA DANIELS,he refused to mention NIGERIA EXPORT PROMOTION COUNCIL led by SEGUN AWOLOWO,What of NLNG?What of MD of Nigeria Railway Corporation? I can count on and on and on. Or do you think the two factions of OPC,AFENIFERE and other Yoruba groups will endorse GEJ is this post were to be true? This is another failed attempt against GEJ's victory in two days .
Politics › Re: Kwankwaso Declares President Jonathan Incompetent by odomanis: 5:24pm On Jan 10, 2014
omonla555: Governor Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso of Kano, northwest Nigeria has declared President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan as incompetent and incapable to fix challenges of development in the country.

Kwankwaso told northern elders who visited his office that Nigeria is drifting towards calamity because President Jonathan lacks the competence to manage the affairs of the country appropriately.

The governor, during a meeting with the leadership of Northern Elders Forum at the Government House, said despite advice and observations from respected leaders and leaders from within and outside the country on how to put Nigeria on the right track, the presidency has insensitive.

“When we met with the president, as Northern Governors, he told us that the former US Secretary of State, Lady Clinton, told him that as President he has to look at the issue of the North very critically. She noted that there was an imbalance in terms of patronage, appointments and sharing of resources.

“He assured that he was looking at those comments and that was why he was delaying appointments into boards and so on. Since that meeting, we have not seen anything or changes so it is my conclusion that the President lacks the capacity and courage to do the right thing”, the governor stated.

Na waa for these core -northerners o . During yaradua a notherner was petroleum minister, Finance Minister, Minister for National Planning and even CBN governor at a time. Yet the south tolerated it. They did not sink the country. Look at such ministries well and you will agree that everything about Nigeria's wealth was under their control despite the fact that the wealth comes from the south. I pitty this country.

He lamented that the federal budget is heavily tilted in favour of one section of the country, pointing out that a situation where one section of the country is suffering from illiteracy, underdevelopment and misery while the other section has more than enough is not good for national unity.

The governor maintained that a situation whereby a section of the country is given priority over other areas is not in the best interest of all, pointing out that it is high time for the Federal Government to be sensitive to what is being felt by the international community.

“We have had enough crises in this country and it is not right to plant seeds for crisis in the future. Look at the North East that was allocated N2 billion in the current budget. N2 billion is what Mr. President allocated to non-APC states for supporting him, while N111 billion was allocated to the South East and South-South. This is not close to fairness”, the governor argued.

He, however, said that his position on current national issues is not premised on religion, ethnicity or sectionalism but stems from the desire to see that every Nigerian, irrespective where he comes from is treated without discrimination, Kwankwaso asserted that it is time for members of the National Assembly to come out and oppose injustice that is perpetrated by the government.

The governor noted that what is happening in the country in terms of poverty, insecurity and joblessness in the North today should not be happening in civilized societies, appealing to the Federal Government to listen to the voices of reason so as to move the country in the right direction.

Kwankwaso also noted that the Northern Elders Forum is one body in the North which has continuously expressed concern over the way Nigeria is being run under President Jonathan.

He pledged to continue to work with all people of good conscience to bring about good governance in Nigeria.

Earlier, in their separate remarks, the chairman of the forum, Alhaji Yusuf Maitama Sule, Danmasanin Kano and his deputy, Wanteregh Paul Unongo explained that they are not satisfied with current political developments in the country, especially as they affect the North.

They said the visit to Kwankwaso was to identify with his achievements and sterling leadership qualities as well as to look at several issues that will bring about responsible governance, unity and even development of the country.

crisycent: It will be outrageous if Yaya Toure doesn't win. Yaya has been the most consistent african player, his pure strength makes you forget he's not a striker, his free kicks are just mind blowing. Yaya all the way....let's not be sentimental about it.
We kow that Yaya is a good player. But the award under review is for performance in the year 2013. Between MIKEL and YAYA in 2013 it is too obvious that MIKEL did better with the results to show for it. Yaya didnt win anything in 2013 but MIKEL won not just one. In the match between CIV and Nigeria at the nations cup,Yaya was reduced to just an ordinary player while Mikel was a shining star and at the end,Mikel carried the day. You may wish to watch that match again to satisfy your conscience that Mikel did better one on one in 2013.

If Mikel does not win then, something must be wrong with the award. NOTE: We are talking of 2013 performance, results and achievements.

paschal ndidi: The Nigerian judiciary is a disgrace to the entire world. How on earth are we going to reduce corruption in this country when this kind of verdict will given by those who (judiciary) say they dont like corrupt politicians. If i can get six months jail terms for stealing 7million of tax payers money, why wouldnt i continue stealing? If it was a poor man who stole this money, he would ve gotten a life imprisonment. What am i saying? Is it not in this country that a bread winner of a family was killed for his refusal to give a police officer 50 naira. And somebody is telling me that this country will be well. I dont think so. I m just angry. Its a pity
That is what you get when the Law makers who are suppose to review and update our Laws ignore their main job and concentrate more on the so called OVERSIGHT function.Oversight function gives them so much money so,they prefer to give more time and energy to that. We cannot blame the Judiciary because they cannot go outside the Law. You cannot be sent to jail for 10 years when the law says such offence attracts only 2 years. We have so many achaic laws waiting for review but, they wont. Yet we pay them so much. NONSENCE !

INDIA should DEPORT any nigerian found with ILLEGAL papers fast using the enugu international airport. Also anyone involved in DRUGS should be punished accordingly. Thanks

Nigerians will behave in a rubish way abroad and when they are about to be deported they will now start shouting and crying and also start running after the foreign MINISTRY. Smh.

Incase you don't know INDIA has ICBMs and NUCLEAR WEAPONS greater Influence and a LARGER POPULATION. Nonsense.
Did you not read the post well ?
The minister said the young man was coming back from lunch and was killed by people(two communities)fighting. He was not one of them. The post didnt say the boy killed was behaving anyhow. the minister didnt say the young man was stealing or doing drug. She said the guy was coming back from lunch.
Please drop this hatred.
Politics › Re: Jonathan Visits Onitsha For PDP Rally by odomanis: 12:36pm On Nov 13, 2013
nerodenero: Anambra is taken, PDP came too late. Ngige will surely deliver. Anambra people should vote wisely
When Ngige was governor,he only tried to build roads that will collapse in less than four years. then formed/hired bakasi boys for security which led to a lot of extra-judicial and innocent deaths. That is what governance means to him. When Peter Obi (APGA) took over as governor as governor. he brought world class investors/companies into anambra state.this has created a lot of jobs for anambra youths,he worked to get recognition for anambra as an oil producing state,he encouraged and supported the actualisation of orient refinery in the state,he has revived the educational sector to ensure that anambra continue to produce world class human capital like himself.he even built more roads than ngige did,he choose to work with the legal security outfits and gave them hudge support and the result is obvious. This is why anambra need another man who is well trained and reasons like Obi,a technocrat,a leader of people and organisation. Anambra need Chief.Dr.Willie Obiano (akpokuo dike of anambra) to continue from where Obi stopped and even do better.
Politics › Re: Jonathan Visits Onitsha For PDP Rally by odomanis: 12:22pm On Nov 13, 2013
HNosegbe: Even if the "Anambra North" candidate knows next to nothing about governance?
The Anambra North candidate is more educated and more read than both Ngige and Uba. The constitutional requirement for a governor is just a Secondary school certificate. but the anambra north man has read to the highest level.he has even gone to havard to study leadership and governance and London school of economics. He worked in Total oil company and left as the head of audit. he worked at fidelity bank as ED Business Banking and next to th MD/CEO.Jointly they transformed Fidelity bank from a small bank to a world class financial institution.top ten bank in Nigeria and Africa. You cannot say a man with such credentials knows nothing about governance. What did Ngige have before he had his 1st shot as governor?
