PoliticsRe: Distinction Between Niger Delta, South South And "Niger Delta" by oduastates:
Mogidi:
Still shocked that Anthony Enahoro (the man who raised the motion for independence) wanted to deny us independence from the western region.

Surprised beyond belief.
This is because you have no clue what life was like under the western region and what it is now.
First of all, compare your educational and corporate achievements to those on the eastern side.
When you are done, tell me what became of boom towns like ughelli, warri and sapele. Tell me of what became of warri ports, sapele's forest reserves, timber and furniture industry, Benin manufacturing and services industry .
In the quest for an independent region, they actually set themselves back.
Enahoro was not alone because he was aware of the diabolical game being played by the SE and the north.
The idea was not freedom. The idea was divide, conquer and recolonise.
You can read this scholarly article to get an idea

PoliticsRe: If Fuel Crisis Is Crippling Nigeria What Will Happens When N/delta Goes On Flam by oduastates: 7:46pm On May 24, 2015
The crisis has nothing to do with Niger delta oil. We are talking about imported petroleum products here.
By the way not everything "oil" has to do with the Niger -delta
PoliticsRe: Nigeria, Poorly Managed For Eight Years – Obasanjo by oduastates:
Baba created jobs.
Real jobs in banking, telecoms,IT,education, hospitality petroleum etc.
Real middle class stuffs
Not to forget, the foreign visa galore ( won by OBJ gravitas)which many of my friends took advantage of to get out of Nigeria.
The only item he erred on was in the choice of successors. Coming out of a military dictatorship, I will excuse most of obj's misdemeanours.
By the way, most of what is good about Nigeria was either built by baba himself, or a government he was part of( refineries, highways, dams, power plants etc)
His successors come in and destroy most of his hardwork.
Where is olokola and brass LNG?
How I wished buhari had the $64 billion external reserves obj left behind to play with. With people like David West, Itse sagay, Fashola, Pat utomi, sanusi doing their thing.
What about a budget of 60/40 reccurrent to capital expenditure?

All I have to put here.
Odua states territorial and the itshekiris want nothing to do with that lower Niger nonsense.
The ogonis have also said the next journey for them after Nigeria is an independent ogoni state.

The first thing to do is to occupy the national assembly.
Fix that place and you are on to something

PoliticsRe: Despite Scarcity, Daily Subsidy On Petrol Hits N1.81bn by oduastates: 8:57am On May 24, 2015
Subsidy is not the responsible for the lack of fund, the incompetent leadership is the culprit. Countries without revenue from petroleum all seem to be doing just fine.

1 can someone tell me what all those federal civil servants do? The useless ones I meant like immigration, qurantine , customs and all those fancy ministries who always seem to have the numbers ( employees) but could as well not exist( dysfunctional)

Lack of local government and governance. The citizens are suppose to pay taxes for refuse to be evacuated (not waiting for allocation). This is applicable to all the states and local governments in the country.
PoliticsRe: Oil Workers Want Buhari To Declare State Of Emergency On Petroleum Sector by oduastates: 4:18pm On May 21, 2015
Pathetic.
That oil has run the country mad.
I wish that thing would just disappear. The Niger delta would have been making more sustainable development money from tourism than this useless oil which all parts of the country want to die for.

Politics3rd Of June Is The Yoruba New Year by oduastates(op): 3:15pm On May 21, 2015
Can some tell the shortsighted SW leaders to start celebrating our heritage and civilisation ?
A public holiday in the whole of the SW for a start.
Our forefathers took time to study the stars ( astronomy)and record the passing of time.
Yet these bunch of myopic leaders with their modern liberal nonsense seem to have gotten the wrong education.
The only astro anything I know today is hakeem in America.

The Chinese and other nations celebrate their new year as a sign of the nationalism.
We celebrate a tacky lagos carnival. Always eager to celebrate holidays relating to religions we Fuxcking have no clue about.
Yet they do not celebrate the art, science, technology, knowledge and philosophy of the yoruba civilisation.

Where other countries are developing their reputation........

Phillipino are considered tender, caring and make good nurses, doctors, ship mates, oil workers
Indians have developed a reputation of being good techies and hard workers
Nigerian has a reputation of being a criminal state.

PoliticsRe: The Crisis Of Yoruba’s Future Most Read by oduastates:
Nigeria is suffocating the odua nation. The SS is suffering from oil pollution, the SW is suffering from unsustainable immigration. Cities are congested, the little opportunities have to be shared with migrants . The
Okada menace, something relatively new in the SW is an eyesore.Crime has become rampant . Already encroaching into Ondo and ekiti states.
A strategy has to be developed that looks beyond the Nigerian state.
An alternative educational system delivered in the yoruba language ( from nursery to university)must be set up for those who find it hard to comprehend English.
The governor must go back and look at what worked in the western region.
They should invest in technical education and bring the mechanics, plumbers, electricians and other trades into the 21st century by linking apprenticeship with the classroom.
Enough of road and flyover building. Mass mobilisation of the people today and now
Can someone tell me Why Ondo and osun state have not reclaimed the title of the world's largest cocoa producer ( responsible for over 50% of the Nigeria's export earnings in the 60's? It only take 3 hours in the morning and 2 hrs in the evening to tend a cocoa farm, make more money and live a decent life. Better than okada for sure.

PoliticsRe: Boko Haram: Buhari Berates Military by oduastates: 4:41pm On May 19, 2015
Never stepped near a military school but even I can do better than many of these peppersoup generals

1 public buildings are not protected

2 military FOP( forward operating bases) are wrongly located( defensible positions)

3 even in the right locations, the FOB's are not fortified. ( there is a video on YouTube in which the terrorists were shooting at our routing soldiers.
Alas there was a hill behind that Base where armo could have been stored and around which a kill zone could have been established. The armo taken by the terrorists would have been enough for the soldiers to hold out. )

4 in terms of equipment, the soldiers lack superiority. The infantry have the same gun range ( ak47) as the terrorists . therefore, the kill ratio is likely to be close.

5 the Nigerian army strategy is reactive rather than dictating the battle.( special operations)

6 not deploying overwhelming force and power. Think about 4 battle groups with 80 tank each in arrow formation thrusting right in the heart of terror army

7 not controlling the battle field

I can go on and on
