There is no doubt in my mind that we need to start disengaging from Nigeria.
Yorubaland has been stuck in a rut since the 60's.
The only purpose the present structure serves is to allow a few men lay their hands on oil . It is not a fluke that nothing works. Railways ,water basins , power ,security .
In fact , Ibadan typifies the rot . in the 60's , it was the place to be by virtue of being the regional capital and the predominant west African city.

The problem now is irrespective of tribe, the creativity of the private sector both at home and in the diaspora have to be felt in the nation. As a nation, we also have a large community in the diaspora to tap for the benefit of this nation, people who can invest here.
Entrepreneurship is the way forward, this our style of education sometimes could feel like a waste of time. Nysc programme should be converted to technical centers and other centers for businesses, while the N- power programme should be left for jobless youths with waec only, not graduates.
Agberos and touts who are jobless and play football from Monday till Sunday, they abound in this country.

By the way , our governors could redirect the educational curriculum and use these people to focus on skills and research rather than the cram fest we have today. For instance ,computer science departments could be handed over to these tech guys to handle for a nominal sum.

Lagos was never part of the group but the indigenes benefitted from the activities .
The decision not to include Lagos was strategic .

This was to prevent the federal government from sabotaging the group when Lagos island was the federal capital territory. The hostile federal government was just too close for comfort
