Incoherent gibberish.
So they should waste money on outdated Tv stations
Glorified Malls ,Hotels etc

Money should only be spent on
1 education,
2 health ,
3 Physical infrastructure needed for commerce
4 acquisition of modern skills (especially on the trades)
5 the plant/machinery to use to skills .

What annoys me is that our governors are not doing anything to bring our tradesmen( plumber , bricklayers ,mechanics ,butchers ,welders etc ) into the 21st century.
They are still stuck in 1960.
They keep sharing sewing machines ,Okada and other crap to people who are not driven .
they needspend that money setting up technical colleges to update the skills the of these men to something comparable with the developed world .
2 men do in 10 step what it takes one man to do in one step.

As long as there is oil , Nigeria ain't dividing.
The evil attached to that commodity is something else and those benefiting from it will not let go .
That thing aka the Dutch disease is something else.
Nigeria is suffering the most critical form of that disease.

Honestly speaking, we can do better. I have always said that we should measure ourselves against developed countries. If we do this, then we can agree that it is simply not good enough.
This is why we need to get out of that country Nigeria. The issue of electricity, mass transportation and revenue allocation is holding us back. Not to talk of other Nigerian made issues like terrorism, insecurity and poor governance.
This is a Chinese show factory in Kano owned by Lee group Many small scale businesses could easily have been operating at this level while the money wasted on private jets by one of the big boys could have easily built 10 of these

I can go 100 pages on fabricators alone. Like I said they run into thousands. From the big boys to the one man operator.Built to specifications and requirement.
These guys do not copy. Tell them what you want the machine to do and they will come up with solutions.
Unfortunately, most of them operate below the surface. There is one I came about recently with contracts with the UN for the supply of engineering solutions in subsaharan Africa but yet has limited online presence .

Local fabricators of Refrigeration and air conditioning appliances

‘I fabricated freezers to meet ice block demand in Osun’
Daily Trust3 Oct 2016
Prince Adelusi Balogun, fondly called Balocool, hails from Ekiti State and attended the Technical College, Ado Ekiti where he was trained as a fridge repairer. Realising that there was high demand for ice block in Osun State, he fabricated freezers for mass production of ice block. The 54-year-old technician has trained many youths on how to make the machine and he employed many youths in his factory. Those in ice block business in Osun State are now using Balogun’s freezer to produce ice block for commercial purpose. In this interview with Abdul-Hameed Oyegbade in Osogbo, he spoke on the invention.
How did you fabricate the freezers for production of ice block?
I fabricated the machine for the production of ice block when I realised that people in Osun State were traveling to Ibadan in Oyo State to buy ice block to make their beverages chilled. As a fridge mechanic, I felt that I could make a machine that would be producing ice block and meet the demand for ice block in Osun State. In 1988, I went to Ibadan to see the freezer that they were using to produce the ice block. I eventually saw the freezer at Oke-Ado in Ibadan and I studied it with the determination that I would try to fabricate it locally. When I returned to Osogbo, I went to the Industrial Development Centre (IDC) and disclosed my idea to the coordinator of the centre, Engineer Moronto and sought his help. It took me four years to be able to fabricate the first local freezer in 1992 with the assistance of Engineer Moronto. The locally fabricated freezer is a combination of fridge and air conditioner and I’m making the machines in different sizes. That was how I started fabricating the local freezers for sale in Osogbo and other parts of Osun State.
How did you extend your freezers beyond Osun State?
It was Engineer Moronto that invited me in 2003 and told me that minister in the cabinet of the then president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo wanted my locally fabricated freezer with a specification. When I made the local freezer for the minister, I was told to deliver it at Abuja. I took the locally made freezer to Abuja and that was my first time of visiting Abuja. Since then, I have been selling my products in Abuja. I have customers in some part of the north including Maiduguri, Kano, Sokoto as well as Niger State but I could not go there in the last couple of years because of the Boko Haram problem. I was introduced to International Trade Fair in Kaduna in 2014 and I made good sales there. Since then, I have been participating regularly in different International trade fair events in Kaduna, Kano, Lagos, Enugu, Abuja and Port Harcourt. I’m currently participating in the on-going trade fair in Abuja.
What are the major challenges you are facing?
The problem of finance is my major challenge. I have plan to produce more machines after this trade fair but the high cost of the raw materials for production is making it difficult for me to produce at the moment. Another challenge is the way prices of raw materials for the production of the machines have skyrocketed because the high cost of the production has adverse effect on the production. The prices of the materials I’m using to produce the machines have multiplied.

TTDALK

ttdalk.ng

Temilade Osinfade is the founder and Creative Director at T.T Dalk. During his days at the university, he would draw out footwear designs on paper for local shoe craftsmen to make for him. His shoes and slippers caught the attention of other students and that’s how the T.T Dalk footwear business was born.

T.T Dalk is revolutionizing the local footwear business in Nigeria and has been featured on several international fashion shows and runways. He primarily sells his shoes on online stores and a few boutique retail outlets in Nigeria’s major cities.

In a recent press interview, he gave the following advice: “… you need to have passion for the business, it takes a lot of consistency and perseverance. Define your brand, and define your target market. You will not find many people who are knowledgeable about the business, so you need to educate yourself and do most of the work at the early stages. You must be very creative, and most especially you need to take risks. Get out of your comfort zone and explore the outside world!”

T.T Dalk is definitely a promising brand to watch in Africa’s fast evolving footwear landscape.

The population census revenue allocation, quota system and the misuse of the federal character system will ensure that Nigeria remains a backward system. When I look at the entire Nigerian political system, I can only 5 persons Who are capable of running anything above a cassava farm

The rest are simply are product of a mediocre system. The population census is fraudulent. The census has ensured that productive regions of excellence are starved of the resources they generate in order to feed backward states and regions.
While transfers are not bad in itself, it is what those transfers are used for and not used for, that makes it pretty annoying.
Northwest and Northeast especially.
This two regions and Abuja have consumed an indiscriminate amount of resources but still yet remain very much beggar regions.
The money is used to keep a elites in relative comfort while the masses suffer for lack of education, health etc.
If the GDP and national income were to be increased to the USA GDP today, Nigeria would still remain backward

The holder of his seat is the spiritual head of the yoruba nation
2 The yoruba religion
3 The Custodian of yoruba culture, history, arts and philosophy
4 The Custodian of the body of ifa
5 The Custodian of Candomblé

8 The Custodian of Trinidad Orisha
9 The Custodian of Umbanda

Ooni was sitting,
Saraki had just arrived; standing.

Both of them used their two hands to greet..Out of respect for their offices.

Ooni represents the people of Ife.
Saraki represents all the 109 representatives of Nigeria.

Let's keep our sentiments aside, many of you here will bow down to greet saraki if you were ever opportuned.

In this particular scenario, the Ooni held his stool high by remaining seated.

What more do you want ??

Besides, for people like Ooni and co whose stools are for life, a great deal of humility is required or else they earn the wrath of God as time goes by. It's not easy to be a leader for life.

Deal with that. #WeShallSee

Whomever allowed people to sandfill the serene habitat that was the former lekki should be tied to a stake and shot.
The swamp acted as a natural storm breaker against the force of the Atlantic and was also a beautiful habitat for exotic wildlife/runoff channels of freshwater.
I do believe that Nigerians have a natural tendency to believe that there aren't repercussions for their negative actions. From squandering their oil wealth and wondering why their economy is shiiitt to voting useless politicians to whom, you can only attribute garbage strewn Street
By simply looking at pictures from the flooding, the damage caused by the prison/like fences and pave stones is enough reason . The ground can't soak the rainwater and the fences box the flood in like a bath tub
I would not take a land in lekki if you gave it to me for free. Sandfill as much as you want, the water will take it back eventually.
