PoliticsRe: "The Goals They Want To Achieve With New Biafra" - Tanko Yaksai by oduastates: 1:32pm On Jun 04, 2017
I always laugh say someone owns 60% of all industries
So the Yorubas, labanese,Indians ,Syrians,Egyptians,Irish,Americans ,swiss etc only contributes 40% abi .
Name those 90% factories and corps and let see if they will fit into ikeja industrial estate.

Fact

Yorubas do not need Nigeria ,oil or anybody to progress.
Nigeria in actual fact is holding us back .

It is also a known fact that it is the Igbos,Hausa and the pan Nigerian thieving elites who need the minorities and their resources .

I say let every people own and control their resources today . Repeal the land use act right now .
PoliticsRe: ‘Nobody Can Force Nigerians To Live Together’ by oduastates: 12:31pm On May 27, 2017
Jonathan had $500 billion to play with .
Throughout his regime we did not hear anything from Ben Nwabweuze when he was busy squandering and stealing with his goons .
Nothin!!
He is here complaining about 1% of that amount to be used to actually put something on the ground.

Wheelbarrow and transistor radio and n the 21st century.
At a time when people elsewhere are multitasking .waching the program on Tv ,checking the stats on tablet ,checking twitter on their phone and listening to alternative commentary on their laptops .

Nigeria is not backward ,Nigeria chooses to be backward . The money would have been better spent on adult education .

Some will come later and start counting Lagos bridges. Then they will say the FG built it .
How many bridges did Fashola build . How many did Tinubu build ? Baba Jakande nko ? Jembewon?

This picture does not do it justice .

But I think it is time to sanitise the inner streets of Lagos and reform local government governance.
PoliticsRe: How Lagos May Be Underdeveloping The Rest Of Nigeria by oduastates: 2:56pm On May 17, 2017
Lagos is not underdeveloping other states .
The other states are just rubbish .
Rubbish do what rubbish does.

1 Agro states without tractors .
2 Barren (desert) states without greenhouse agriculture.
3 Cattle states without ranches
4 Cocoa /palm oil states where cocoa trees are over 50 years old
5 None with any form of value chain ( processing or finished products)
6 Coastal states without fishing fleets

I couldn't see myself voting 33 out of the 36 governors as ward councillors.

The landlord should be sent to prison,Thief or no thief.
What if they were adventurous children simply playing . No hands , jumping or hanging on fences , trees etc was the kind of play we did in our childhood.
Also electrified fences must be
1 high and hold just about current to stun and make it uncomfortable to hold

2 it should definitely not paralyse and cause death
PoliticsRe: The Reason Why Nigeria Will Never Move Forward. by oduastates: 7:41pm On May 13, 2017
Lee Kwan yew ,the president of Singapore came to Nigeria during that first republic. They had already locked Awolowo in prison at this time
You can just summarise is observation as ,
"NIGERIA WAS BEING LED AND RULED BY CLOWNS ".
For me , nothing has changed . In fact , it has gotten worse.
For the SouthWest ( my primary concern ) , I cannot name a single Awoist. The Awolowo type won the battle of ideas but the Akintola / Akinjide types won the war .
The reason on every measure of human development, we are worse of than we were over 100 years ago .
If you doubt it , you are free to battle me on

It only takes little time to destroy what has been built.
Amaechi handed the schools to a consulting management company. My guess is that those consultant have been chased off and the educational system has been handed over to quacks

$1.5 billion pere.
Let us put it perspective.
Jonathan's government made,stole and squandered $500 billion.
While busy squandering, he destroyed projects like the Brass and Olokola LNG projects initiatiated by his predecessors.
$500 billion
-1.5 billion
-------------
498.5 billion
PoliticsRe: Ben Murray-Bruce's Tweets About Quota System (Screenshot) by oduastates: 6:36am On Apr 18, 2017
Nigeria needs restructuring so that every ethnic nationality can deal with their respective mediocrity .
The system breeds mediocrity and this man is an example of such mediocrity. I pull no punches from anybody. It is not by useless papers (degrees) . It is by the attitude and no current Nigerian politician has that revolutionary attitude .
PoliticsRe: Ben Murray-Bruce's Tweets About Quota System (Screenshot) by oduastates:
This guy and his "no get sense" tweets .

Any multicultural, multi ethnic nation or organisation has to continue do ethnic balancing in all considerations.
You either do it or perish.
Nigeria has refused to restructure and we have no minimum acceptable standards.
The MSS is definitely too low .
otherwise, this clown would not have gone as far as he has
PoliticsRe: Lagos At 50: Check Out What Has Changed (photos) by oduastates: 11:32pm On Apr 16, 2017
Oxtonguy:
When last have you been to Oshodi, that's the point dear Lagos has changed alot, even world class cities like New York chattels slums like ajegunle, not to talk of Lagos with booming increase of population from 1.7 million in 1970 to 23 million plus in 2017.
Are you talking about New York City or New York State?

The most crime infested and rundown parts of NY city are finer and have better infrastructure than the finest parts of Lagos.
When I look at Lagos's beauty , I either view it from what it could have been or look at what it could be .
The present incarnation is ugly as hell .
Not even the natural endowment can make up for the abuse .
PoliticsRe: Lagos At 50: Check Out What Has Changed (photos) by oduastates:
Give the Lagos of the 1940s anytime . It is certainly not a very good place to raise a child .
That Lagos is worth more than its weight in tourism revenues and potentials .
The modern Lagos is what you can call , misdeveloped underdevelopment . A concrete jungle and a largely rundown monstrosity without any serenity , architectural ,ecological ,cultural ,town planning and touristic appeal.
The island and Apapa are not reflective of the real Lagos.
Looking down at Lagos from a plane after visiting coastal cities around the world show how ugly Lagos truly is .

PoliticsRe: Fly Over And Road Construction In Epe, Lagos Ongoing (Photos) by oduastates: 9:54pm On Apr 16, 2017
Gap2020:
Stop all these huge money factors, how can you compare Ayo with Ambode. How many traffic congestion do we have in Ekiti and how many people can afford flying by air for my governor to start building fly over and air port. Amobode started building roads to reduce the traffic on Lagos road, operation light Lagos and more terminals to relieve the people of Lagos.
Who is talking about money or population here ?
A substantial chunk of the population is unproductive .per capita ,
1 Lagos get the least allocation from the FG
2 Has the most responsibilities
3 and is most responsible

What you have is an unconventional structure that works .
Lagos ,because it was well admistered (Nigerian standard) , has perfected the way to recycle money like big American or U.K. corporation .
Lagos borrows against expected IGR and allocation .
Instead of waiting to generate and accumulate 2 naira or 20 billion , the state borrows the lump sum now and while using the revenues generated to pay down the capital and interest. This further improves the State's credit rating (which means they can borrow larger amounts in future )
Fayemi used the same system in Ekiti . You need intelligent people to run such systems.
