In actual fact I opened a thread in this direction earlier in the year & it got closed after Seun's intervention

I have since gone solo, outside NL & I thank God for the fulfilment that has accompanied it

The constrain is SMEs need not just Money, but also mentoring & monitoring even when the drivers are commited to being trasparent

Mentoring can get nights of joint brainstorming from me, on any network/platform

Monitoring takes time (real manhours), that I think can be made more convenient by sharing or delegation to those who have more of it,or have advantage of location

I hv just started managing a 20 Ton Mack Truck with Tipping capabilities, (10 Tyres)

Will like to meet people with similar vehicles to compare notes, share maintenance experiences, contacts & costs

Today I was informed that the alternator is burnt & would require N8k to repair or N18k to replace, pondering on what would be the best option

I fear that if the repair is not well done by any chance at a go & the vehicle brakes down at an unpleasnt location the cost of recovery may turn out to be quite expensive above buying a new one

FOR new alternators what brand fits a Mack most & what are the prices & location to get them, I'm presently in Lagos

And also send the driver's detail to him, But to my surprice, this guy claimed he has not getting the system, actualy, wen i call the driver, he apologize and said he had a problem dat they took his bus to station, dat he will take the system and deliver it, but they don't have to be trusted like dat, becos i had such a experience last year. I'm back to Lag, glory be to God & but I arrived late, but also hv to be in Benin tomorrow, this however does not affect our transaction, except that my lawyer does not open on Saturdays, I've confirmed that your money is still intact with Mr Yemi.

But I believe it is essential that we also resolve the issue raised by here by Mr Jereal, it may be easier to achieve this if you can post the said document given to you by the transport Company, but even if u are able to convince this NL Parliament that u were in turn duped by the Transporter, it is no excuse for the attitude you have displayed as claimed by your customer, would this suggest that Papa Browne was right in the first instance that you have attitude challenges?

After all said & done, what I will want us to take away from these is that it is not what happens to you that counts as much as how u respond to what happens to u. You may be convinced in your mind that you have also been duped, therefore your integrity is still intact, not really so. The British police, we are told are trained not only not to be corrupt, it is ESSENTIAL that they also convince the public that they are not corrupt(transparency), that is the only way they can gain respectability & public support, which goes a long way in making their job easy.

A lot of us opt into self employment thinking we are free from bosses, forgeting that u can not do a business without customers & the customer is your boss, u owe him explanations when things go wrong, in some cases you owe him compensation, just as your boss may deduct ur salary in cases of negligence, I hope u will clear this mess honourably so that we can move on with our transaction as agreed

I am a certified (APCON) advertising practitioner, I already own a few billboards outside Lagos, though I'm based in Lagos

Registration fees for billboards are highest in Lagos, so the rates for retailing/exposure is higher for same size of material

Out of home (Outdoor) Advertising is a multimillion Naira biz like you indicated, & it is highly dependent on three major factors for success viz;

1) Location
2) Location
3) Location

Often the client have a list of Locations in mind, where no board exist, so u need to build afresh to fit such request

The biz is akin to the property biz, u build & rent out at high cost & could be stranded for some years without patronage

Even in Lagos you can see board spaces begging for patronage, or actually rusting away

The first picture you showed is called a Unipole, it cost about N6 - 20m to put in place depending on the number of sides & material

The regular fixed Vinyl material is cheap compared with the Ultra which rolls in splinters, the Digital(T.V type) takes the cake

But some blue chip companies feel very safe/comfortable to pay two year's rent, which may instantly cover all costs & lv some profit

Yet to catch some sleep, much more later
