punisha:That was a digression from the main point. If I had types iPhone 11, you may had continued reading, isn't it. Remember that the value of a phone does not affect the good deed of a Nigerian who returned a lost phone, nor does it diminish the fact that the police helps to regain lost phones. |
DICKstractor:You have a big point. We must learn to appreciate good deeds, even the smallest of them all. It has a way of encouraging and bringing similar good deeds out of others. |
Juliearth:Guy, I tell you na. It was my insistence for a trial that led to my recovery of the phone. I was concerned that if I should wait for two weeks, much damage would result. |
padi94:Hahahaha! Funny people are all over Nairaland. I know why I chose to mention droidpad. Can you see how you lost concentration from the gist of this post to the value of the phone? The import of the post was to draw your attention to the Samaritan-like attitude. But you digressed from the main point. This could happen in an interview situation. learn how to stick to main Point. |
Shukusheka:It looks like fable to you. But some of us actually have no time for jokes or lie. I mean what will someone derive from telling a story on a public platform like this if it did not really happen? I have more reputation than could allow me tell a lie in public. You don't know me, but there are people who knows me and reads my piece on this platform. Be positive my guy. |
SweetBuns:South? Come on, how do you mean "South"? Because I seem to be in South ![]() Okay, now North ![]() |
Immanueladebol:Not really Lagos. But come on, you can still regain possession of your phone when you lose it. Any where in Nigeria, it doesn't matter. One major aim Of this post is to create positive vibes in us all. There is more hope and green lights in Nigeria than most of us actually knew exists. Please, some one should hold up that Green-white-green flag |
fotadmowmend:Seriously. Jokes apart |
Carelessly, I kept my Tecno Droipad on top of my car and drove for about five killometers before remembering that my phone was on top of the car. When I stopped, I knew not from where to start looking for my phone. Anger overwhelmed me. I blamed my self bitterly, for this avoidable mistake. “But what was I thinking about self…?” I asked myself. I have never attacked myself like that before. But it happens spontaneously. I went to Airtel store so they can help me on a missing phone that rings when called but which is not being answered by the person in possession of it. Airtel declined, insisting I go to the DSS, Or EFCC, or the Police CID… I went to the police headquarters. I was told it's too early to track a missing phone, that the ideal period to begin tracking a missing phone is after two weeks… Based on my insistence, an effort was made and my phone was returned to me. Thanks to God. Kudos to the police (the NPF). Appreciation to the good Samaritan who picked my phone and kindly returned it to me freely. There are still good people in Nigeria who are God fearing and who follow moral codes. LET'S NOT LOSE HOPE IN NIGERIA. Mods, please push to front page. |
Is Ndume trying to tell the world that the acclaimed repentant terrorists are not monitored in any way? High profile security risks of that magnitude released into the society with some incentives. The LEAST thing to be done is to place a 24/7 surveillance on them and monitor both when they eat, shit, make calls, pray, play, sleep, wakeup, travel, etc. In Western countries, if high profile security risks criminals like B.H. members are being released into the larger society; the least they will do is to BUG THEM ALL... |
The Nigerian customs has become a major player in the Nation's economy. They now generate much of the IGR of our country, so if the contracts will boost the NCS operations in generating more revenues then it's a welcome development. |
The exact problem analysed by Dr. Anthony Fauci of United States covid-19 Task force. Fauci had explained how absurd and dangerous it is to take samples from traced contact or suspected sufferer of the virus and allow the "person to go back into the society where the person keeps infecting" members of the society while awaiting the result of the testing and when the result takes days to process, the risk becomes higher in the society. Borno should nhave kept the persons ninvolved in an isolation facility provided by the government. |
Omooba77:Come on Boss! You don't mean it, do you? Even the Aso Rock clinic that gulps billions of naira, yet seems not to treat any illness at all did not open your eyes? Abba Kyari is supposed to be understanding his treatment right inside the Aso Rock clinic if you and the others had deemed it necessary to equip that sick home, but what do we have? Kyari was moved to Lagos... MY WORRY IS: WHEN BABA BUHARI FINISHES IN 2023, WILL THERE BE REAL INFRASTRUCTURE ATTRIBUTABLE TO HIS ADMINISTRATION? |
This is unwarranted. The warriors can do better than that. Oh ooohh Did I say warriors? Some may argue that tittle should be reserved for the chadian soldiers because of their recent bravery. But, should the men of the Nigerian military be in our cities killing innocent citizens who are doing Legitimate works so as to feed their families? Corona did not kill the taxi driver, then soldiers killed the driver, for what na? |
Rwanda mean business for sure. There is still hope for Nigeria. |
This was avoidable. It's the hight of irresponsibility for parents and guardians and any other person in charge of protecting the minor and little ones to fail in doing so. I hate to see little children suffering. I detest hearing that failure from the person who supposed to protect them against danger resulted the the death of the minor. Oh my God! NB: there must have been a sign of collapse on that lintel area for a period of time. This tragdy would have been avoided if the needful was done when necessary. |
Legalcriminal:Beautiful scene. This blue sky, real? Kai. Abeokuta fineoo |
Omooba77:One would think that a serious offensive against the insurgents at this time they have lost major arms will see to their defeat once and for all. The size of arms they lost to the Chadian army is sufficient to render them weak and vulnerable to an assualt from the NA |

Tmb78:Calm! Don't fall for provocative comments. Some may come from non-igbos. As for Nairaland, no person will succeed in bringing it down in any way. Seun will continue to make progress. No matter what. Don't forget both you and the other guys are Seun's boys. He, being the leader he is understand individual differences. Calm! |

EBMedia:The Legality of this remains unclear. This marriage, if preceded by traditional arrangements like payment of bride price and other tribal or traditional marriage requirements- will pass as valid under customary law. It won't pass for a valid marriage under the MA (Marriage Act) because some one's parlour will not be recognized by a competent court of law, as a licenced place for celebrating marriage. So here is the good news: they could be married customarily, (if all things are equal). But ignorance and our way of life in Nigeria will not allow people learn important issues bordering on marriage according to the Act. Even many so called church marriages have been voided by the court for lack of adherence to the rules and proceedure. However, the courts are inclined to save marriages than desolve them, but parlour marriage may be alien and novel both to the lawyers and the court. |

To be prepared in case of total lockdown across the states of the federation of Nigeria is needful. Though we pray that Nigeria remain relatively safe from the virus and current cases discharged from the sick homes |
