MadamExcellency:Listen to me. Being Igbo is the greatest bequest from God to me. But, you must understand that due to the effect of the Biafran war fought and lost by Ndigbo; we were considered as second class citizens. Eventually, the Igbo race Rose from grass to grace. Currently, Ndigbo can compete in any race and for any office in Nigeria. That is the gains of peace and tranquility. To demand separation from Nigeria again is tantamount to return to 1976-79. Are you sure that you want exactly that? Do you really want to lose the gains made since after the war? Are you willing to have the South East destroyed again and made into ruins? Do you know that there was no actual reconstruction in the southeast since after the war, nor a commission created to see to that? Are you aware that millions of Ndigbo died of starvation due to lack of food? Do you know that if there is another war, more than that number die withing 3 months? How many commoners in Igboland can feed for 3 months if they are unable to go out to look for food for 7 days? Do you even analyse the typicality of the Igbo situation? Do you know Igbos hate themselves more outsiders hate us? You like insulting me. But I will not retaliate. You are my friend. However, do not be one of the myopic persons who want more Igbos to die for nothing. I stand for zero death of Ndigbo. You should join my school of thought so I can teach you wisdom |
This is to invite qualified and ready mind individuals who have what it takes to profitably manage a forum website for Economic gains to indicate by dropping their names and phone numbers and they will be told how to apply. Mods please, push this to the front page and let more Nigerians (Nairalanders) who have the qualification and interest indicate. This is real. Thanks Mods. |
MadamExcellency:If you are IPOB, I am not. And you are not a proper Igbo person if you are a member of a group subtly working to destroy the Igbo race. All these shallow minded people talking and typing nonsense to defend IPOB, you should examine your heads. What Ndigbo needs is not what you represent. We need a lot more and better things in Nigeria. If you are as intelligent as I first presumed, you should have perceived the danger Ndigbo faces due to bad name given it by IPOB. Speak for Ndigbo, not against the Igbo race. So far, you have not convinced me you are real Igbo. If you're a real Igbo, type your Igbo names and their meaning within 5 minutes from now: Else, you aren't Igbo |
Sure. We should be praying for them In addition, we must do something very important at this time, for the police. We all want a reformed police men and women in Nigeria. But before that is actually a reality, we the Nigerians should come together to constitute a kind of solidarity group that will give our policing institutions moral boost. We need to close the gap that divides the people and security agents. We need to make a conscious move to cement our relationship as Nigerian youths, with the police and the others. This vision needs be shared only among great minds that can perceive matters based on foresight. |
MadamExcellency:Dear, I am Full Blooded Igbo Son. I have lived both in and out of Igboland and I know there is no place like home. Hitherto, Igbo person is not known with violence, and that had counted in our favour prior to now. The activities of IPOB is labelling Igbos violent persons, but that shouldn't be, because the typical Igbo person benefits from the opportunities inherent in the large Nigeria. We wouldn't want a situation where violence and crimes will be committed anywhere in the country and ( rightly or wrongly) people will quickly attribute it to an Igbo element. This is not what we are known for. Anyim Pius and, or Sam Egwu are not my concern. The world does not revolve around them. My concern majorly is on the general interest of Ndigbo home and abroad. If you are a person of foresight, you will realize that where we are heading to is the situation where, if we do not act fast to redeem our name as IGBO, soon when certain criminal acts or violence occurrence, especially in a non-igbo setting, the non-igbos will hastily take to revenge against NDIGBO. Do you know what that portends ![]() Please, if you are an Igbo person for sure, kindly share your candid thought on what we can do now to save the good name of Ndigbo from being soiled the way it is about to be soiled. #savetheigboname |
Good news. Nigeria, my great country |
MadamExcellency:Wrong. You are wrong. I am not part of a group that insult the entire Ndigbo with non-igbos alike. I am not part of a group that can go out and destroy the few infrastructures we have in Igboland, even not minding the fact that they speak of marginalization which tend to point out how there are no much Federal government projects in Southeast. How then can they engage in destruction of the few infrastructures we have in Southeast knowing very well that it is not easy to create more. I don't belong to a group that has the agenda to reverse the little progress Ndigbo has made since after the civil war, knowing very well that Umu Igbo is the Whipping Boy of Nigeria. I cannot belong to a lawless group. I am an epitome of lawfulness. |
Gov. Umahi, NDIGBO is with you on all moves to curb the excesses of IPOB and her supporters. The aftermath of #endsars protest with the attendant destructions attributable to IPOB shows the group should be lodged out of Igboland. Your vocal voice is welcomed by all well meaning Ndigbo, home and abroad. You are now a leader of the Igbo ethnic nation, not just Ebonyi. In the coming days, we the well meaning Ndigbo will rally around you, to show solidarity with the true Son of Ndigbo, which you have become by your daring moves and speeches which aims at benefitting the Igbo nation, as a whole. |
Senator Rochas Okorocha of Imo state would see this and smile. He would say this people are in his league. "People that understand how to imotalize with statue" ![]() |
Such a painful exit. Rest in the bosom of the Lord |
When will this madness end? |
IGP Adamu, I stand with you in your quest to make the policing work effective and better. My Team and I will work with you on this. Success to you Sir. |
This being the case, then we have not been told the whole truth by the saying that Nigerian democracy is a replica of American democracy. Isn't it obvious now we still have a long way to go in other to catch up with the U.S.A. model of democracy and electoral system? |
This is step in the right direction. For those criticizing this move, it is not wrong. What is needed now is to do more, building more momentum on what this gathering has achieved so far. Let's applaud this move first, and then put head together to identify what step or steps need be taking next to achieve our collective objectives. What the nothern leaders are desirous of achieving through this is for the good of the generality of all Nigerians, not for the North alone. I always advocate collective effort. North and South collaboration in the interest of better Nigeria. My question: Has the South United and met, discussing critical national issues the way the North has done ![]() |
This protest has gradually become very EXPENSIVE. WHO THOUGHT IT COULD BECOME THIS REGRETTABLE? THERE IS ONE WAY OUT NOW FOR US ALL |
All these things have solution. The solution is not the ongoing protest. It's is the readiness of you this reader, and all the other Nigerians to AGREE, IDENTIFY AND DO the right thing for a better Nigeria. We are working on the way forward, and it will interest all, including you. Even the police and all law enforcement agents and agencies will love it. Nigeria can be better. Let's begin the process! |
This is a great news. Forward ever man. Keep flying. Safe trip across the globe. More vissions and achievements to your group. |
chiefolododo:Speak your mind, but don't discredit established facts. You aren't any authority in any area of human endeavors, neither are your opinions worth any much, other than an individual view. Remember, your knowledge and convictions are not more than a shallow deprived and depressed person's emotional imbalance. I am sure when you eat well and get satisfied both with food and good things of life, your emotional situation will adjust. |
MyVILLAGEpeople:What happened to your sense of respect now? Must you diss dignified persons like that? |
eodavids:Anything that will alleviate the masses above recession should be encouraged and applauded |
naptu2:OP, I am interested in these furnitures. |
Ilaumoh:Noted |
OP, you have just endeared me to this fine city. What is the distance of Ikot Ekpene from Enugu state? I want to begin with a visit. |
KingAzubuike:This man was a great king. His palace is a big office complex because of the numerous humanitarian activities going on there daily. Administration of the this Emirate is like administering a government. And that's because the Emir carried a lot of works and services for the benefit of his people. On relation to peace building in Kaduna state, he has the reputation for peace building in Kaduna state and in Nigeria at large. HRH, saw the governorship contest between a son in-law of his and another; he did not inrerfare not take side with his son in-law. When the other person won, HRH did not habour hard feelings. He lived a good man. I hope the transmission will see smooth and the Emirate will experience similar or better leadership from the next Emir who will ascend the throne. The late Emir has capable and matured sons who are educated and experienced even in government works. A successor will not be difficult to find. RIP to the deceased! |
Baba Buhari has earned a legacy here. INEC have earned a reputation in this election. Edo state has proven that they are more of enlightened and educated people, who think for themselves and not brain washed into what other people masterminds. Edo citizens voted their conscience. Comrade Adams Oshiomole should accept the verdict of Edo people and move on. Let him not be hard on himself. The comrade tried his best, just that he was up against an uphill task which saw him undoing his own previous deeds. Those words used for demarketing Ize-Iyamu could not be washed off the mind of the already enlightened people of the acient kingdom. POI should know he put up a good fight. It's almost natural, being a downhill task for an incubent to secure victory in elections. Obaseki; Obaseki owes it all to the enlightened people of Edo state. Let him prove his worth to the good people of Edo state. |
greencard:Every Born again Christian should aspire to lead in Local, state and Federal levels of our political fabrics. To avoid politics is to strangle oneself and the Christian fold as a whole. HOW CAN WE AS CHRISTIANS AVOID POLICY MAKING, RULES MAKING, POLICY AND RULES IMPLEMENTATION, AND ADJUDICATION WHICH ENTAILS INTERPRETATION OF OUR LAWS AND REGULATIONS. WHAT IS GOVERNANCE? *LEGISLATORS MAKE LAWS AND SERVE AS CHECKS AND BALANCES ON THE EXECUTIVE AND JUDICIARY. *THE EXECUTIVE PLAY VITAL ROLES IN LAW MAKING, USE THE LAWS MADE. MAKE THE MAJOR APPOINTMENTS IN ALL THE VITAL AREAS OF OUR GOVERNANCE, INCLUDING JUDICIAL OFFICERS AS WELL AS EXECUTORS OF MAJOR GOVERNMENT AGENCIES AND PARASTATALS. *THE JUDICIARY INTERPRETS THE LAW AND IN FACT, THE LAW IS WHAT THE COURTS SAYS IT IS. If christians decide to avoid governance or politics, the consequences are unimmaginable. When a law is made that no more worship will be allowed: the christains will and must adhere.......... |
damiloladuke:That's a whole wardrobe of shoes. You earned it. Congrats! |
oloriooko:Considering that it's the upper floor that collapsed, not the down floor, it should not be attributed to soil related issue |
Too sad. People are encouraged to work hard and earn a decent living avoiding crimes completely. This incident and similar ones however should be prevented from reoccurring. Why should an engineering negligence lead to the untimely death and grievous injuries on many people? Who certified the persons handling this project? What will be their penalty for this? Can't categorize this building collapse as an act of God, nor is it natural that a storey building collapses while in construction. Regulatory Agencies that aren't effective should be over hauled. Let the staff be dismissed who are blameworthy in this and similar ones. Nigeria cannot continue like this, at all. |
I like V.I. it's one of Nigeria's best city centres. Victoria Island, Lagos Nigeria |
postbox:Good news. Another good news. But, let me quickly add that herdsmen must be put in check for this good news to become a reality. As I type this, many farmers across many states have abandoned cotton farming because cows loves eating up cotton leaves and no one has come to their aid over the years as they continued to suffer losses in the hands of cows, it's untill they stopped farming cotton that they had relief. This is happening in Northern states of Nigeria, not even South. |
