Amotolongbo:First of all, Anambra and Imo have more gas reserves than any other states in Nigeria. Imo and Abia have way more oil than Ondo. Forget all the false graphs you've been fed with. Finally, I know this thread was created by a Fulani e-rat working for the Buhari administration with the intention of creating squabbles between the SE and SS, especially is that there is a plan to restart the protests |
Rugaria:According to the NRI people, only 66 Igbo towns had monarchies before the coming of the white man. All of them were NRI lineages that left NRI many ions ago Most towns were administered by the Nze na Ozo society, which was established by the Nris also, and at times , a council of elders |
KingOdart:All you coneheaded non-entities,. Please go and learn about the Fulani woman physicist that emerged from. Bayero university and taught by one quack Sharia physicist. We Igbos got no time for such mediocre frivolities. |
KingOdart:Stop putting together a list of non-entities and expect an Igbo jewel like me, to be intimidated. Igbo Amaka |
Nnewi monarchs were crowned by the Nris. I wonder whether that practice is still going on |
KingOdart:Of course. Many of them even. I suppose that's why this list looks so mediocre to me. |
helinues:If I write in Igbo, the only people that will understand will be the Nris, Wawa's, Aniomas, Ngwas, Ikwerres, Ogbas,. Bonny and Opobo people, Aros and other Igbo: speaking people. But I also want northern almajiris to understand, which is why I will keep it in English so you will understand |
Racoon:Charles Soludo is not the chairman of that body, neither is he the minister of finance nor the president |
helinues:The question you should be asking is whether Ntoooor is also an Ikwerre expression. Ikwerre that happens to be completely different from Igbo |
helinues:Why will Wike say Ntoooor, when he is not an Igbo man. Ntoooor is an Igbo expression |
MusaChukwudi:Unfortunately Lagos also needs Igbo money |
fk001:Whoever designed her attire deserves an award. This is probably the best Nigerian female attire I have ever seen. Marvelous work |
Bkayyy:Names such as Chima, Chuma, Chukwuma are born by Anambra people, which includes Umunri. Aros have no chance in hell, of claiming Eze Chima. Otherwise, the Aros would have been involved in crowning Eze Chima and the subsequent Obis of Onitsha, and there will be no Nze na Ozo title holders. Aros would have flooded Onitsha with MAZI, NWAMAZI and ADAMAZI, none of which exists in Onitsha today, as I write. Today, there is a very vibrant and ancient Nze na Ozo society in Onitsha, which clearly points to their Nri (Eze Chima) past. You cannot make a claim without showing evidence left in the cultural tapestry of Onitsha. Everyone is now trying to claim Nri exploits, but on closer investigation, the false claims crumble |
FIrst of all, Eze Chima was not an Aro man for the following reasons. The Nris were crowning the Obis of Onitsha up until the 1960s. Onitsha monarchs claim to be descended from Eze Chima. Nris don't crown Aro people. Nris own the shrines Eke, Oye/Orie, Afo and Nkwo so these shrines can never be installed by Aro people. It can only be installed by Nri people, so the fact that Benin people make use of these market days/shrines is wholly because of the Nris. Benin is older than Aro, so there is no way Benin will accept any Aro supremacy over them. Nri is way older than both Igodomigodo and Benin, and various anthropological reports by the British colonialists and expeditions by ancient Portuguese explorers have already identified the Nris as being the cultural and religious guardians of Benin. This is yet another rubbish to deny Nris some of their heritage. Aros don't own the Igbo market days/shrines |
Why didn't they add Buhari? Is he no longer a world leader? ![]() Anyway those so-called world leaders are not justices of the US supreme court ![]() |
Juliusmalema:Nwokem, there are many Riverians who accept the fact that they are Igbos. Because of those people, I will still keep an eye in Rivers state. Those Riverian Igbos also keep an eye in Anambra, which happens to be my state. Wike or anyone that supports him, are just a few non-Igbos, in Rivers. Now, you can eat your heart out ![]() |
Juliusmalema:Using one link to console yourself because one WIKE said something is nzuzu on freestyle |
Juliusmalema:With what has happened to Obigbo people, I doubt Oyigbo LGA will ever support Wike again. The same goes for the other Igbo LGAs in Rivers state. To make matters worse for Wike, the migrant Igbos from the SE who are resident in Rivers will never support Wike. His support base is destroyed. The Igbo groups of Rivers will be well advised to vote for someone from another Rivers state ethnic group, not supported by Wike. They should look for a Kalabari, Okrika or Dakuku Peterside from Opobo that seems to embrace his Igbo ancestry https://www.nairaland.com/2691100/igbos-dakuku-peterside |
FEGNO:FEGNO, Are you from Enugwu-ukwu? |
The funny thing is that Chibuike Amaechi was even more vociferous in declaring the un-Igboness of the Ikwerres, when he was the governor. But today, he uses every opportunity that presents itself, to announce his Igboness. I can guarantee you 100% that Wike will do the same, once he hits national political arena. Igbos are not in need of fair weather Igbos. Igbos only need dyed in wool Igbos. Igbo bu Igbo. Unadulterated Igbos. Another point I want to make here is that Ohanaeze is peopled by wishy-washy Igbos. Even before the time of Zik, Igbos have been cursed with being led by people whose Igboness were adulterated, including Zik himself who declared an abomination, that Onitsha people came from Benin. Thank God the current Obi of Onitsha has made it clear that Onitsha people are hardcore Igbos and nothing else. Even before Zik, we had the warrant chiefs, who were just the messengers and agents of colonisation. Before the warrant chiefs, we had the Aros who were involved in selling their fellow Igbos and other Africans, to the white man, not minding that they were sending out the subconscious message to the white man, that Igbos and other black people were inferior to them, and as such, could be degraded to the level of slaves in the presence of the white people. |
Rosskivvy:You had better embrace the bravest Yoruba woman ever. |
She is one of the bravest Nigerian ladies I've ever heard of. She is certainly the bravest Yoruba woman ever.. Kudos to her |
201320142015ob:Wise words |
Happy to note the MASSOB leadership acknowledging the name OBIGBO, and the fact that it is Igbo territory. Having said the above, I will keep saying it that Nnamdi Kanu is a huge disaster waiting to happen as he lacks the necessary leadership competences that is needed to navigate the global political and diplomatic web. He should have remained just the director of Radio Biafra. What is happening now was predicted by late Dr. Dozie Ikedife and the other elders that helped to form IPOB. They made it clear that Kanu's approach will lead to unnecessary bloodshed. They made this prediction, long before the Nigerian government declared IPOB a terrorist organisation. Of course, Kanu pilloried them and used the fact that he's the mouthpiece via Radio Biafra, to run down this well meaning and seasoned. Igbo elders. The result is what we see today. No one now bothers to investigate the massacre of IPOB members, because of the way Kanu has been leading, and this was predicted. Unfortunately, some of these elders have passed away. Dr. Dozie Ikedife, Col. Joe Achuzie and Barr. Debe Odumegwu-Ojukwu. If IPOB is to regain the aura and effectiveness that her initiators planned out, then the leadership has to be handed to people like Tony Nnadi of the LNC fame, a seasoned barrister with the swerve disposition to stand toe to toe with global leaders, and with an effective roadmap that will eventually lead to self-determination. Even Emeka Emeksri of the other faction of IPOB will do a better job of leading IPOB. With regards to the massacre at Obigbo, I assigned 10% fault to Kanu. 90% of the fault for that carnage still lies with the following entities 1 Wike 2 Buhari 3 Buratai 4 The Nigerian army |
A Nigerian government official is also involved in the whole sordid affair. Obviously Buhari's government liaison, to the terrorist group |
seunmsg:The did not say A NIGERIAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL. They clearly stated A NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL. It is quite clear this government is a terroristic government bankrolling boko boys. Igbos have been saying this for a very long time. The group even nominated Buhari to represent them some years ago. Now that their official representative is the president of Nigeria, it becomes clear why boko boys will not be defeated while Buhari presides |
Biden, Obama, Clinton, Kerry already hurt the eastern part of Nigeria by foisting Buhari on Nigerians. I don't think any pro-Trump easterner will give a crap, what Biden thinks, in spite of the fact that he spoke in support of the victims of the Lekki massacre, and the fact that his vice is an in-law of Ndigbo. The current anti-democratic party tendencies in the SE was caused by Biden, Obama, Kerry and Clinton. Kamala Harris is totally innocent of the blame though. |
Gratefulheart1:Just the same way you lot adopted the evil Buhari because he made Osibanjo, his deputy. Igbos never adopted Buhari when he chose both Chuba Okadigbo, or Edwin Umezeoke as his deputies. Most Igbos already know about the Harris' in-law status to Ndigbo, but a lot of us are still supporting Trump. Even Kamala Harris' may even have Igbo ancestry, but I still support Trump. But if Trump fails to win in court, then good luck to our sister and in-law. I know it is a thing of pain for you, that Igbos still have a massive stake in the Biden camp. Nimo Amaka ANAMBRA Amaka Igbo Amaka. ![]() |
