femisplash:Yaradua was in PDP while Tinubu was/is in APC. The zoning arrangements of the parties are not related. In 2015, the SS still had a greater moral right to the presidency than the north. GEJ was the first ever SS man to be the president. But Tinubu did not consider that. He arrogantly dismissed the yearnings of the SS because he wanted to please his Fulani masters, and elevated the northern whims over that of the SS. Now that it is the turn of the south in general and the SE in particular, Tinubu chose to hijack that opportunity. So Igbos have no choice but to play hard ball. If Tinubu chooses to ignore the SE, the SE will scuttle his ambitions by backing a fellow deprived NE |
femisplash:Yologba smartness ![]() There was a Yoruba candidate in the 2015 presidential election, but you all voted for Buhari, a Fulani man https://situationroomng.org/list-of-presidential-candidates-for-2015-election/ Tinubu himself could have also run for the position in 2015, but he didn't. Rather he chose a Fulani man to support. Aren't you people the greatest slaves in Nigeria. Anyway, the policy is not changing. If the south won't opt for a SE presidential candidate, the SE will support the NE claim, after all they are more deserving of the position than Tinubu or the SW |
Omodua:Afonja and twisting the truth. Is Tinubu an easterner? The SE has made it clear that they will support a NW candidate, if the south doesn't want to support a SE candidate. The die is cast. Igbos are not known for bluffing, and in the south, it is really only the SE and a little chunk of the SS that have ever fought a civil war. Tinubu is on his own. Yorubas will just have to accept the incoming Fulani presidency, as Yorubas don't have what it takes to do something about it |
The same way Fulani men are heads of the 3 arms of government. The same way no Igboman is in the top 6, but Yorubas have two |
Mandate2023:We will also see if you will successfully make Tinubu the president. The same Tinubu that made sure no Igboman occupies any other of the top 6 positions in the country |
subcbouy:Like you guys keep saying, the SE was. not privy to any of these una agreements and don't have a stake in APC. Which means the SE is free to get into new agreements. Moreover, you all claim Tinubu is a genius and that Igbos are just 5%-ers. So basically Yorubas don't have to worry about Igbo minority moves. Your calculations failed to take three important facts into consideration. 1. Igbos have the greatest moral right to demand for presidency in the south, which invariably means that when Igbos r fuse to press that claim, the entire south looses the moral right to demand for the presidency. 2. The 5% that Buhari ascribed to the SE and SS may be a gross underestimation of their voting strength. 3. Yorubas falsely assumed that Igbos will never back a northern candidate. They forgot that Igbos are probably the most dynamic ethnic group in Nigeria, and are quite intelligent enough to discard perspectives that will hinder their goal. These miscalculations by Tinubu may hurt the Yoruba political game in the future, if it is not well managed. Igbos are already in the psychological zone to blow up any perceived southern bridges, with southerners who are wicked enough not to see the need for a SE president. |
Adedayorr:Nwokem, you are on your own with this your war talk. The SE will not be joining you in that. In fact, we even want Lawan. We prefer Lawan to Tinubu |
subcbouy:Why didn't Tinubu ask Buhari to become Osibanjo's VP ? |
deeva2:If Tinubu could not pull off any magic in Edo state which has a common boundary with Yoruba states. There is no way he will be able to do jack, now that he will have an armada coming for him. The south is not together. The south needs to be together, to give him a fighting chance. The way things are, his presidential ambition is doomed. Mark my words |
Balogunodua:Tinubu is likely to loose the 11 states of the SS and SE. He won't even make up to 25% in any of them, except in Edo state. The SS and SE will use this opportunity to pay him back for his 2015 moves The SE will also stick in a knife on his presidential ambition, for not supporting the emergence of an SE president. I also expect Lawan to win most of the NE and NW states, and I doubt Tinubu will be able to secure up to 25% from any of those states. The middlebest will be a tug of war, which will still favour Lawan. Let Tinubu bring it on. That was exactly how he miscalculated in Edo state |
helinues:Which threat? I don't see any threat. It is just a political move. That's all |
Balogunodua:So you guys should stop faulting the current Igbo move. Presidency going to the south in 2023 is not a must. Igbos, who haven't tasted the presidency for many decades will not be supporting Tinubu, out of any southern solidarity mirage. Let Yorubas quit threatening the north with Nigeria's break-up if a southerner is not the president. It won't work. The SE will not support any cunning moves in that direction. The southeast will support a region of the north that hasn't had the presidency for a while. They are more deserving of the presidency than Tinubu, after all, since 1999 Yorubas have been in the presidency for 16 years. |
Balogunodua:We will know who the minorities are in 2023. Tinubu will be disgraced. You are about to find out the voting strength of the Igbos We affect percentages in many non-Igbo states including Lagos and Abuja. Tinubu, the great betrayer of the south is about to taste the resolve of the Igbos. He was allowed to get away with his betrayal in 2015. This time around, he will be so emotionally traumatized with the response |
I see Reno keeps indulging foolish Igbo illiterates and creating fake Igbo handles and asking himself silly questions and making stupid claims, so that Reno will shine. I am not fooled |
Balogunodua:Who told you? In fact Yorubas are even trying to blackmail the north as we speak, telling them that Nigeria will disintegrate if the @south@ is not given the presidency in 2023. But that Yoruba threat will not work. Igbos have left that southern crap. If the SE can't be considered, then to hell with the south. As things stand, Igbos are the only group with the moral right to demand for presidency in the south. So now that Igbos are willing to ditch the southern apparel, the Yoruba threat is now ringing very hollow, and in fact the only thing giving Lawan confidence at the moment, is that Igbos are likely to abandon the southern stance. And once Igbos abandon the southern stance, Lawan and Atiku will immediately be favoured, and the Yoruba threat becomes null and void, after all the Yoruba claim to the 2023 presidency is very inferior to the Igbo claim to the 2023 presidency. |
deeva2:You already know Tinubu's ambition is now up in smoke, with this new Igbo thinking. No united south, if SE is not considered for the presidency in 2023. Tinubu is going nowhere. The mentality now is different from the Igbo mentality when Falae and Obasanjo were vying for the position. |
This is ballsy A typical Igbo trait |
Any Aspirant Whose State Is Being Ruled By The Opposition Doesn't Deserve The Party's Ticket. - Hon Alhassan Ado Doguwa, APC HoR Leader https://twitter.com/TinubuOclock/status/1526995410014900224
Let's hope Lawan's state is being ruled by APC then |
deeva2:Yes, let the northern presidency favour Yoruba. We don't care, for as long as Tinubu is not the president. An Igbo man must be the president before a Yoruba man ever mounts the presidency again. |
Okwyjesus:Please remove SS from that union of vipers and backstabbers. This is a mess cause by the SW. We in the SE will get the SS to see what is really happening, and hopefully join us in stopping the great betrayer of the South, Tinubu that is |
olabright31:But the SE has two APC states. Weren't you guys saying that the two SE APC governors are a good thing for the SE, and it gives Igbos presence in the ruling party. So now that you have enjoyed two states in the SE, you now want to cast them away, because your piss-full tin god is running. Were Yorubas heavily in PDP when PDP chose OBJ as the presidential candidate? Anyway, let it be known that if the presidency is not going to the SE, we in the SE will support a NE candidate. SW will never be supported. We also want to check out the political clout you guys have been boasting about. Let us see Tinubu get the presidency, without the SE votes. |
deeva2:It is either a president of SE origin (we can even consider a SS president also). Otherwise, let the north keep it. SOUTHERN PRESIDENCY MY ASS!!!!! |
For SEners, fighting for the south in this issue, is fighting for Tinubu to be president. This is one fight the SE should not take the side of the south. If Tinubu and Osibanjo cannot see the serious injustice of easterners not ruling the nation, let the SE also heavily support the signing of the amended electoral act. Let us all be slaves in Nigeria |
frankpro27:I may consider the SS, because they have really only been there for just 5 years. But I will rather vote for a goat, than bring in Tinubu. Tinubu will soon learn a brutal political lesson from the SS and SE |
Newton2024:If Tinubu becomes the president(which he will never be), I can guarantee you that Igbos will not be the president, coz Tinubu is not Igbo. Igbos will not get the vice presidency, because that position will be given to a northerner. But if Lawan or Atiku becomes the president, the chances of an easterner becoming the VP increases. Tinubu is not our man and will never be our man. Tinubu has betrayed the south for his own selfish goals at every given opportunity 1. He betrayed the SS, by undermining Jonathan's second term. 2. He betrayed the SE in the current national assembly, which is why there is no Igboman in the top 6 of the country's hierarchy. He already knew Osibanjo will be the vice president, yet he worked hard to ensure an easterner never became the speaker of the lower house. So today, Yorubas have two positions in the top 6, and Igbos have none. 3. He is yet again, trying to betray the SE by not supporting a president from the SE. And you expect the better south to work with an idiot of that nature. It is better to get the VP position than not be represented in the top 6. It is better for the SE to get the VP position than for Tinubu to get the presidency, because he has proven time and time again, that he doesn't care about what happens to his fellow southerners. Like I have been writing, SE and SS will force Buhari to carry on, rather than have even one day of Tinubu presidency. The chickens are coming home to roost |
Bluntemperor:Wasn't it the same Tinubu that supported Lawan to the senate presidency? You can cry as much as you want. Everyone has a level of .madness and Igbos will display theirs in 2023. Tinubu brought in Buhari and Lawan and Yorubas want him to be made the president. Now that Igbos are showing a little support to Tinubu's boy (Lawan), Afonjas now want Igbos to disregard Lawan because of his dull performance in the senate |
Newton2024:Think whatever you like. Igbos make up about 40% of Lagos and a substantial population in every state of the federation. The Igbo population in Lagos and Abuja will ensure that any northern candidate will not get less than 25% of the votes in those two key areas. Additionally, 11 states of the SE and SS will stick in the knife, in the heart of Yoruba presidential journey. Don't worry, Igbos will make sure our SS brothers understand what is afoot, and they will troop in with us to vote against Tinubu, the great betrayer of the south |
aribisala0:Chai see painment ![]() Anyway both Abiola and Awolowo were never declared presidents. What does that tell you? Listen and listen well. A Yoruba man will never become the president until an Igboman becomes the president. Yorubas are looking into oblivion. Try Igbos and see. You are about to see We will make you pay for the betrayal you people heaped on GEJ from the SS And we will make you pay for your selfishness in not wanting to support another southern zone for the presidency, when Yorubas have already spent 16 years in the presidency since 1999 |
Guyman02:That's the maths ![]() |
Newton2024:If Lawan comes in, an Igbo is likely to be his vice president. We will be alright. But anyway Yorubas brought in the their Fulani in 2015. There is nothing wrong in Igbos bringing in their own Fulani in 2023 |
Emekaonline:Kali supported OBJ in the primary, against his own brother. Bottom line is that Igbos will not vote for Tinubu. Take this to the bank |
LegendHero:Well, my state voted for Abiola. But still he never became president, and the results were not fully announced. So I still stand by my postulations. All through the 50s and 60s, Zik's party was constantly coming first or second. Presently, the SS has had a taste of your backstabbing tendencies, so Tinubu is running a loosing game there. For th first time in the history of the south,. Igbos are making it clear they will not vote for a Yoruba man. Now that's something |
