we have covered oil change so many time here

oil change is done as per user manual says

do yourself a favour search for the user mamual of your car you will find all information you need not hearsay from people


changing oil after 3 months is rubbish thats waste of money

Knowledge is always dynamic, I ve seen all threads on oil change n non is like this one. I dnt ve my user manual n so do many car owners n dts where a forum comes in handy. If u ve nothin to contribute or d thread is nt interesting to u y nt check d next thread.

Everyone alwys talk abt user manual but it is only a guide nt everything. D manual is mostly adhered to wen everything is at factory setting n nt for cars we use here where alot of things ve been altered n are 15yrs n older.

I ve heard n read abt four methods dt can be used to kw dt engine oil change is due which includes

1. Change from abt 3000 to 5000km. My question wat if it takes me 6months to get to dt mileage on d oil, do u think d oil will still b ok.

2. Change after every three months wat if I am only able to cover 800km in three months so d oil ll nt b ok again or wat

3. Change wen d red light on dashboard shows indicating an oil change is due. Haba won't this b taking things too far

4. Change wen d oil is black n has lost its physical properties, haba can one ever use this mtd.

Now I use total quarz 5000 on my Carina E and its been lik three months since d last oil change and I ve done less than 1000km. D car is mostly driven in city n it passed d above oil change due methods except dt d oil has stayed in my engine for three months.

Wat do u guys think, I want to change in january bc I kw I may use close to anoda 800km this season making my total mileage on d oil abt 2000km.

Yes he is super lazy with an oversized ego. I dnt blame him he is gettin free food and shelter dts y he is lazy. Nothing makes a man humble n hustles lik mad lik hunger.

There is alwys sth to do n earn a living like driving keke n taxi on hire purchase. Or even going to construction sites to mix cement. U can also go n teach in private nursery, primary or secondary sch. These r humble beginnings but for a graduate to sit down completely idle for 3yrs is nt acceptable.

Look for someone to drive keke or taxi for on hire purchase in ur location rather than being a cleaner. In less than 18months u ll own d keke or taxi swallow ur pride bro n remove ur shirt n go n hussle like a real man n God ll bless u

Your tires going by the date of manufacture, has not expired. Your tire still has probably another three years of good service to give you. However it may have if it had not been stored properly. 40 Psi is a bit high. check the recommended pressure as suggested by a poster here. It is on your door. FRSC will not condemn a tire made in 2010.

Ok I ws worried initially bc most ppl claim tires expire after 4yrs but I ve seen nw dt it depends on hw d tires were stored. I even read online dt brand new tires can expire in d stores after 4 to 6yrs unused. I feel good knowing I don't ve to b dodging FRSC this festive period. 40psi is ok on d tires bc d tires are marked max 44psi. 195 65 r15 91T

Get a tire gauge, ensure the tires are not over inflated and you should be just fine. Do not ask a vulcanizer to check it for you

Yes I will get a tire guage but can't find d digital one but d manual ones. My tire is 195 65 r15 and I do 40psi. I check d pressure once a week using our road side vulcanizers for nw

Would suggest you change the tires since your instinct is not really at rest. An appropriate age for tire replacement is between the age of 3yrs and 4years, unless worn down earlier by damage or milleage.

I changed my four tires with four first grade toks tires infact d tires look like new. This was done sometime in sept. As at d time I didnt pay attention to d date of manufacture of these tires as I was carried away by its looks. I jst discovered d tires were made on 3010 ie 30th week of 2010.

Now I ask has my tires expired and would FRSC likely harrass me on this, jst wen I tot my car is fully ready for travellin this season n this issue crops up. Some technicians dt saw d tires are of d opinion dt my tires r very very good dt I shldnt worry abt d date.
