bellong:

You can apply for a state sponsorship if there is any state sponsoring the occupation.

It will be at interbank rate..

@Zinger15,

Provide more information as requested by others.

But to answer your main question, degree from Covenant will be assessed as equal to am associate degree which is 10 points except it is a 5year course.
Travel / Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by OGIYEN: 3:04pm On Jul 23, 2017
Hello, when I clicked on the combined list is 186 and 457 and not 190.also if you find your occupation on the MLTSSL and you don't have up to 60point,what will be the next thing to do.
bellong:
In summary, find below the steps in applying...

1. Check if your occupation is on MLTSSL/STSOL or nominate a closely related occupation that you can prove. Also check the quota percentage to know if you still stand a chance. You can search for occupations and assessment info on www.anzscosearch.com & Dibp site.

2. Write English test (PTE, IELTS, Toefl) based on your preference and your skill assessment body requirement.

3. Check your assessment requirement from your assessing body and submit your application providing them with the necessary documents.

4. Calculate your points based on your situation.

5. Submit your EOI if you have up to 60 points and wait for invitation.

6. Lodge visa and make payment after invitation. Frontload medicals, PCC and form 80 may help fasten your processing.

NB

For some occupations like Doctors, Nurses,(Most medical and health related professions), Social workers, Lawyers and Psychologists, you will first need to be registered with the registration body of each profession before you can start Permanent resident visa processing. Some require that you write some exams before you are registered while some don't. Detailed information can be found on the body's website.

what i understand, i might be wrong ,is categorize into 3 section, high skilled, intermediate skilled and international graduates, for the high skilled and intermediate skilled that have noc A B C and O, applications will be received from such persons, with ECA and level 4 English. but lets wait and see how it plays out,is for 2000 applicants.
dupyshoo:
It is a new program, so no one has much information on it. The only option you have is to google it, read up on it and share any info you are able to gather in order to help others.

Travel / Re: Nigerian Students In Canada: How Do You Survive? by OGIYEN: 9:53pm On Nov 04, 2016
hello, u said wrote IELTS ,can you write it over there?
jojcanada:
Good people of Nigeria, I haven't posted here in a while. I'm happy to see that many people are still going the route of studies in their quest to live the Canadian dream. Studying here does not guarantee a good job when you graduate but it sure makes it easier to fit into the system. I've said this before, please only study relevant courses where you can get a job.

A little update on my journey. I came in Jan 2015, studied IT project Management at Seneca for 1 year (8 months plus coop). Got a good job in December 2015 before i graduated and I've been working there till now. Got a pay raise so now in the 6 digits but that's not me trying to brag. It took hard work and dedication. I have kept my eyes on the ball.

Even though you are a student, know why you are here. If the goal is to remain here then make sure you have all the information you need early. Don't wait till you finish school to start running from lawyer to lawyer and wasting money. Like i said, i arrived Jan 2015, I completed IELTS in April 2015 (scored maximum points in each area), completed WES by June 2015, applied for Ontario nomination by November 2015, got nominated and have now successfully applied for my PR.

Stay focused, stay informed and study/work hard. I wish everyone success in their journey and a big thanks to all those who responded to my questions and gave advice along the way.

God bless

let me share this with everybody, all schools have grading system, when you see their requirements, check their grading system to see if your cgpa meets the requirements, E.G , if the requirements state B or B+, if you check their grading system you will find out what that translate to,most times B means 3.0 and B+ means 3.5 for some schools is 3.3, i hope this helps. thanks
Riddeek:

You must know that schs have standards, check the dept website of those schs and read their minimum requirements.

As for Saskatchewan, even before you apply officially, there is this pre-application form which you would be asked to fill (for your own good) which will then be circulated to the faculty members (supervisors/professors) to approve. Then if luckily, you get approved you would be contacted to apply formally.
NB: being asked to apply formally isn't a guarantee to admission.

As for research intent, Google is ur best friend. Don't beef him wink

But wait oooo, is it 3.06/4.0 or 3.06/5.0 ?
If it is over 5.0, then i am afraid, the Almighty needs to be involved with your app. Nevertheless, trust in the only one God, the Most High and hope for the best.

But have you considered other options incase ur cgpa doesn't meet their minimum requirements?

Application and issuance of change of names on passports have been decentralised. She can do it anywhere in Nigeria, in an immigration office of course.

For the passport issue, get someone in immigration office (immigration officer)in Abuja to send your wife's details to,he/she will process it,that takes like 2 to 3days,then she will then travel to Abuja for capturing, after capturing it takes a week for the passport to be ready.I hope this will help.
mexxyaaron:

Thanks a lot for your prompt response.

Her passport has expired ,which means she can't take the IELTS .
She needs to have a change in name reflected in her new passport (the expired passport bears her maiden name).I learnt this takes quite some time to effect.
The is a newpaper publication on change of name though( done about 3 yrs ago)
My fear lies on how long it will take to hav the passport ready. She is due to visit the passport office tomorrow.
Please what's your take on based on these said.

Once again,thank you very much.

Phunmmiee:

Your own better, someone asked for help fr His Younger brother going to Toronto/ Manitoba and later to Brandon and I offered to help. A place to stay both in Toronto and Winnipeg but I told him he will drop some food items fr his host in Toronto, He agreed.
My contact even agreed to pick him up at the airport savinv Him $50 for Taxi.
We were talking on phone and I told them I will bring the items to the airport, call the host so that they can talk then give the guy travelling the hosts number so I can be sure the person getting the number is actually travelling they agreed.
The on the set day, I called and the guy travellling wasnt picking till 3pm, so I called the sister who said they are on the way from Benin to Lagos.
My next call the father picked and said the boy isnt leaving again. Of course I knew it all, so I sent a mail to the elder brotherwho asked for help on this thread and he apologized and said the parents would have preferred I gave them the contact ahead.
I learnt.

Tanks dear
dupyshoo:
If you want to go through express entry, then you will still be required to write IELTS. Since you already have 600 points, just register and try to get as minimum of 6 in all the bands, then you will be good to go.

However, if you don't want to write IELTS, you can check for provincial nomination route in the province where you got the job. Some of the provinces MIGHT not require IELTS. I am only sure of Quebec though. Please note that if you decide to go through this route, you will have to submit paper application.

OK,tanks but this come to Canada tool, is it the same as the one on the 0 thread and next step to CSR tool?.
dupyshoo:
There is no hidden assessment for Lawyers only. You don't need any Lawyers to assess you.

Go to Google and type Come to Canada tool, put in all your information and it will tell you if you are eligible or not.
