RareDiamond:
Nawa for this ridiculously unjust judgement by the Supreme Court. This judicial rascality must stop.

Still on the Supreme Court ruling on Imo Guber Election: (Why the Supreme Court must reverse itself)

The law is settled as decided by the same Supreme Court in Buhari v. INEC (2008); that "weight can hardly be attached to a document tendered in evidence by a witness who cannot or is not in a position to answer questions on the document. One of such persons the law identifies is the one who did not make the document. Such a person is adjudged in the eyes of the law as ignorant of the content of the document”.

Questions for the CJN, Justice Tanko and other Supreme Court Justices
:

1. Does the Supreme Court have powers to formulate and allocate votes as election results?

2. Were the said results certified by INEC as required by law?

3. Did Hope Uzodinma call 388 witnesses from the 388 polling units to speak to the results to obviate the principle of dumping which the Supreme Court used against the PDP and her candidate, Atiku Abubarka, in the last Presidential Appeal.

4. Were the presiding officers and or party agents of the 388 polling units called to testify by Uzodinma/APC, who were the Petitioners?

5. What are the figures from each of the various 388 polling units generated and allocated to Hope Uzodinma/APC by the Supreme Court?

6. Is the Supreme Court saying that all the votes from the alleged 388 polling units were for the APC alone in an election that was contested by over 70 candidates?
Did you take your time to read the arguments and the judgement?
I ask becos your understanding of th whole thing is far from what OP posted. Take your question 6 for instance, the SC court sac said time without number in their suission that they only deal with the crux of the matter and not to go looking for matters not brought before it. Btw, PDP had little above 1k votes from what the APC submitted in those PUs

The Op's updated version from Punch can be misleading because it does not include the complete text of Tinubu's submission, rather it only removes inflammatory aspect and amplifies them for sentimental reaction purposes. The full text of Tinubu's release is on the nation website. It is longer and more complete than the Punch released versions.

This is more like it.... I wonder why some pple see tinubu's ambition as their bane. The man has said the truth and solution to the impasse but the trouble makers and short sighted pple won't see it that way. He talked about the importance of Amotekun and also said it's functionality will hugely depend on carrying the attorney general along. How else were they suppose to carry the AGM along if not by engagement and discussions. Tinubu remain the wisest of them all jare. He already has my vote come 2023. Funny thing is those insulting him now will benefit more from his presidency. Its on record that it was his govt that elevated pple from other states, especially the east, to positions of authority in Lagos state more than any other administration.
PoliticsRe: Austine Umahi: Supreme Court Judges Will Know No Peace by ogmask: 9:10pm On Jan 21, 2020
NGpatriot:
Your argument wasn't the case before the court, the case was about INEC unlawfully and unconstitutionally taking away votes from candidates.

Where the votes come from or good or bad votes or even mote than accreditated was not the issue before the court so that argument was irrelevant before the Court.

The former Governor and his lawyers should have challenged the votes in a separate law suit from the beginning of truly they had issues with the votes, but they did not.

You,the PDP and the former Governor can not after the fact blame the SC for ruling based on sound legal findings and facts put before the SC.

You can not play victim or bait and switch the Supreme Court just to fool people, tell yourself the truth, INEC is responsible for the screw up by illegally messing with the votes good or bad, they set in motion for what happened at the supreme court, they in effect provided the reason to remove the former governor from office and the former governor also did not separately challenge the votes from the beginning.
MY point exactly. You can't blame the SC for not granting a prayer you never presented. They gave judgement based on the prayers before them. They do not care which way it goes. The PDP and their lawyers messed things up from the start.

so from what u are said the law law is blind or do not take cognisance of total accredited votes in an election? the judges were able to mopped up the whole votes from 388 polling unit and award it to uzodinma, u said the other candidates did not contest it,how about ihedioha he did not win any votes in those polling units?why will the total votes be higher than the accredited votes?u said the inec should be the one to do the maths?let me tell u if the supreme court fail to explain to Nigerians y their is discrepancies in figures, they might be forced to reverse it self. Just watch out this abracadabra will not stand I am not a fan of ihedioha, but lover of justice.
I am sure they will explain in the full judgement details. Let's wait and see what they come up with

Rather sad I must say, this guys program was one of the reasons I watched Kakaaki. Its truly sad that this government can't take criticism. The feel threatened any time some one criticises them, not knowing that criticisms are only meant to make you improve. This guy would have been one of the big names on TV if he hadn't been pursued by the government.
Take for instance, you go out and the first person you meet on the road tells you that the trouser you are wearing isn't good but you ignore and keep going, you meet another person and he tells you the same things, you meet 5 more people and they all tell you the same thing. What are you now supposed to do ? Isn't it to actually take a proper look at the trouser and make amends or simply have one of the people you met to tell you what's wrong with it so you can make amends ?

To me I believe that our biggest problem in this country is religion, if we can all agree to ban religion for one year and make a reviewed constitution our new religion, just for a year you'll see how we'll almost be competing with the world power.
Question is was he doing his job as a journalist or an opposition element. These are two different pple u know.

if sentiment will allow you, u will agree with the people criticising the judgment that their is a lot of question that needs answers from the supreme court, one is it only hope that won in those polling units?how come after adding those votes to hope the total votes was now bigger than the accredited votes?
The right question to ask is where did the accredited votes come from and how many came from the disputed 388 wards? Mopping up all the accredited votes without knowing it's distribution is a great disservice to the judges.
Let me ask, did other condidates contest the results they got from inec? You said all the votes from the 388 wards were allocated to Hope alone.
2. What has the total votes cast got to do with the judges. As much as uzodinma was able to prove his case the right thing to do was to add the ommitted votes to his tally. It is inecs headache to subtract or do whatever necessary to make the votes tally with accredited figure and not the judges.
PoliticsRe: Austine Umahi: Supreme Court Judges Will Know No Peace by ogmask: 2:33pm On Jan 21, 2020
NGpatriot:
It's funny that they are not even talking about the votes and the election issues the supreme court based its decision on, they think it doesn't matter and they should retain the governorship as if it's their rights and entitlement.

Did INEC remove votes from Hope Uzodinma, yes they did?

By removing the votes, did they break the law or not? yes.

The PDP and their ignorant followers won't ask themselves these questions because they know they don't have legs to stand on with the answers.
Sound point..

Lol, Oga, I'm from a rice producing area. We have always been cultivating rice.
Local rice has always been there over the years ... disguised as foreign rice by dealers/retailers.

The only major difference is the packaging. There are more Nigerians now in the business of boldly
packaging and branding local rice than before. Rice production itself has not increased that much.
Why not say it th way it is. Is there an increase or not?

If $35b is what you called good reserve, well, I'll discontinue any argument with you

Agreed, the reserves have somewhat gone up under but did he do any special to jack it up?
The answer is a capital NO! Buhari took the lazy man's short cut of borrowing, borrowing and borrowing more
then use part of the various loans to shore up our reserves

Why not keep it civil and make your point.

Aruksman:
People have attached different stories to the judgement and some have claimed that the judgement was influenced but I disagree.

Thou not a lawyer but RMB that Ihedioha lawyer did there assignment poorly
(1) they never contested the results which H.E tendered (the 305 units)
(2) after the Supreme disqualified Uche Nwosu for being the candidate of two parties meaning UChe Nwosu was the rightful candidate of the APC so on that premise they should have asked the Supreme Court to nullify Hope Uzodinma.

Lessons.

The Supreme Court is not a charity organization that award reliefs not seeked by the prosecuting or defence team.
(2) the Supreme Court is not a religious body that ur prayers on facebook will make them change there minds
(3)Logic does not work here but verifiable facts.
(4)the court does rule in accordance to the wish of supporters or social media but in accordance to law.
The way I see it is that pple are too sentimental. This as nothing to do with the rev father or buharis influence but, like u rightly put it, a lack of foresight from the defence team.
