Nobody is in Ogoni. People don't live there. People don't stay there. People don't visit there. That's why Wike said "I moved the Poly from Bori to PH to bring education closer to the people". Those are his words. Note that he said he "moved". Go check the meaning of that word before you come with your weak defense of Wike's action. The poly in bori moved? To where pls? Just hope they have not annexed one of the model schools Amaechi built for this purpose. If this gist is true then it is a minus. Brother pls throw more light on this gist. |

He carried out many unscheduled visits to project sites and even friends. The good days of rivers state are long gone. Amaechi visited project sites alone in those days, No convoy, no security, no press men and no rented praise singers. sentiment apart, If you were in rivers state during odili, omehia, Amaechi and now wike, you will give it to amaechi. faaz24: 1. If Buhari prosecutes an Igbo man for corruption, Igbo people will say he's doing ethnic cleansing.
2. If he prosecutes a fellow Fulani man, they will say it's because the criminal is a PDP member.
3. If he prosecutes a fellow APC member, they will say it's because the criminal is giving Buhari a tough time within the party & they're trying to frustrate the accused out of the party.
4. If he prosecutes someone that doesn't belong to any political party, they will say it's because the criminal is an anti-government critic.
They're yet to say whether the person being prosecuted is guilty of the said crime or not. We're simply comedians! I already said it. Buhari's anti-corruption fight won't be possible inasmuch as we keep politicizing and ethnicizing the whole thing. To discover that the same set of people that want corruption stamped out are the same ones saying all these things breaks one's heart.
When GEJ was president, why didn't he also prosecute all the thieves in the opposition? He was trying to be Mr. Nice? Mr. Nice that landed us in what we are in right now?
Get me right. I want Aregbesola's account frozen like Fayose's. But if I'm to distribute gifts to a group of people whose names are on a list, does it matter whether I start from the top, bottom, or middle? The most important thing is that the name of anybody that gets the gift is on the list, isn't it? Ok. What if the gift finishes before it reaches some people?
Well, in this case, it's not exactly the same. Buhari's gift is enough to go round everybody. So no matter where he starts from on the list, nobody will miss out on the gift. And nobody can dictate to him where he should start from. He made the list, not you or me. He that makes the list reserves the right to start anywhere he wishes. Instead of wasting our energy arguing on where he's starting from, we should ask whether someone who doesn't deserve a gift has gotten one. If that hasn't happened, then what has the noise been all about? Gbam!!! Ekpas won't see the light in this. Bruv, you have spoken well. How they come to conclude that president buhari is the problem instead of the solution baffles me. |

FirstLadyNaija: Mrs Ibim Semenitari, the Acting DG of Niger Delta Development Commission
(NDDC),Former Commissioner for Information under the Chibuike Rotimi
Amaechi administration recently paid a Seven Million Naira
(7,000,000:00) Per annum for 4 Years to herself as Rent in her own house
which is located on Ernest Ikoli Street, Old G.R.A , Port Harcourt City, Rivers state .
It will be recalled that this same woman when the administration of the current
loquacious minister for Transport Mr. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi rounded up had
been indicted in car scam which with the help of authorities was recovered from
her residence in July 2015.
NDDC, I was made to understand usually provides allocation for rent for their
DG(s) over the period of their tenures but for an Acting DG who is illegally
occupying a seat that should be for Akwa Ibom State based on the rotation
formula amongst the Niger Delta states to ask the Finance Department to pay
her rent to herself for her own property is the height of corruption.
We are still trying to come to understanding why Garba Shehu, the Presidential
Spokesman to Muhammadu Buhari buying over $800,000:00 at CBN rates and
selling off to public at N362 per dollar and the recent #iStandWithBuhari
N2 Billion scam and ow this.
We call upon the authorities to check this information and do the needful.
If we do not collectively fight corruption , it will kill Nigeria.
At a time the citizens of the country are queuing for PMS and a bag of garri is
costing N6000 per bag and a bag of Rice (Oryza Sativa) at N15/16,000 per bag,
this is more than inhumane. This is a pure act of greed and wickedness from
the Change agents in the Muhammadu Buhari led administration.
Receipt of the payments is readily available for verification.

The average rivers man has a poor idea of politics. They see everything from a very myopic and illogical point of view. For them, wike is the best thing to happen to rivers state even in the face of all the killings, kidnappings, armed robbery, lawlessness, imposed school fees, refusal to pay overseas scholarship, little or no funding for primary health centres, aboandoning of his predecessor's agricultural programs and returning militants to mainstream politics. What is happening in rivers today is a direct result of the strategy deployed by wike to win elections even when the tide favoured the pdp. The last time we had a rivers so insecure was when odili did same against his benefactors, marshal Harry, AK dikibo and co. Like ekiti, some rivers pple call wike grass root politician because he thrives in mediocrity and trivialities. Truely, a pple get the leader they deserve. Wike spends more money in paying local tabloids to advertise his substandard roads and sniff around amachi's anus than he spends on the real project itself. in rivers state today, the health, education, security and agricultural aspects are virtually non existent. Wike is called best gov rivers has ever had for making already existing roads narrower with open drainage system. They compare him to Amaechi in such a hurry as though his tenure of 4yrs comes to an end next month. For them he has surpassed ameachi in every aspect of governance. This is the river of today. The rivers APC is on point on this. |

Instead we had an edited video of a guy asking questions right there while the men were still seated with the gov. mind you it was suppose to be a meeting with the gov and not a press conference so, questions should have waited till after the meeting. 6. The video was edited from the point where the so called zenith official was struggling with the whole set up to when fayose addressed the press in the absence of the same pple he said came begging. 7. AyeeIdris: But bride price was created by men. After all in Nigerian culture, the man owns the children. Fathers apparently saw their daughters as some form of property and put a figure on their head. Its a practice that is still done today in the name of ' culture'. Bride price is what makes some unfortunate soul think they have acquired a slave (when the money can never pay for a quarter of what the parents have spent on her. I My dear this is not about marriage or bride price persay. There have been cases of women paying their own bride price thru their husbands who are not strong financially. Respect is the key here. All you need do is know your role in the marriage and you are in. On the issue of bride price being man's creation. I think it is both cultural and biblical. Recall Abraham sent his servant with the bride price to get a wife for Isaac. You can also ague that getting married in church or court or wherever should be abolished. Pple should just cohabit and start making babies. Having said that, I will like to say that the who gender equality thing is not only misunderstood but also misapplied by many. I doubt if there is anywhere in the world today where women are paid less compared to their male counterparts on same job. Neither is there a place where women are shut out politically. Here in Nigeria, Gbemi saraki contested with her brother Bukolafor the govship of kwara. In Taraba state just recently a woman almost clinched it. Clinton slugged it out with Obama but lost to a superior Obama. Now she is bulldozing her way thru all the male aspirants yet she is a woman. I also do not think a Tiwa savage will be paid less than a Psqure on same Glo endorsement deal just because she is a woman. I Realy don't understand where u guys are coming from. If you think there will be a law that will send your girl child to school and also pay her school fees, then keep on dreaming. Many parents today give their girl child same opportunity as the boy child. The argument Wether feminism or feminazi does not add up. Except you are saying the Obaship of Benin kingdom should be xtended to women. For me, the women are their own undoing. Always putting up a fight where there's non. Today we have female legislators across board, permanent secs, DGs, ministers, commissioners and so on, yet the say they are marginalised. The US should have handed the presidency over to Clinton just like that on the mere excuse she is a woman. For those illiterate/religious bigoted parents who feel their girl child should get married instead of going to sch, they need education and not law. |
