Who are the beneficiaries of the aid? How was it dispensed? No amount of propaganda here can silence an international unbiased media unlike sahara reporters of NY(?)
Did they say the aid was giving to rivers state? they said aid to Nigeria and not rivers state. You see why I sat its junk journalism. Why ddnt they trace the money to rivers state. possibly mention the reason the money landed in rivers state. It's so comfortable for you to say they are unbiased even when it as Jonathan that squandered the money.
Did u also read where they said buhari declared 5 houses and 1 million pounds in cash befor he became president.

But EFCC recently invited Ohakim (former Imo State governor). Was he also a federal thief? And lemme ask you, do states have their own versions of EFCC?
They can only invite him for two reasons.

a) acting on a petition from anywhere
b) acting on a petition from the federal government.

Should the petition come from the state govt, they can approach the court should the Efcc refuse to act on it.

But Amaechi don talk how he spend the cash na. If una nor believe Amaechi (even with no evidence to back u up) why should anybody believe u.

Were you the one that charged Metuh, Dasuki, Dokpesi, Ohakim etc to court? Was it not EFCC and DSS that invited and arraigned them on their own? Why are you now insisting that RSG should charge Amaechi to court?
because they are federal thieves. Can't you get it.

Rivers people already petitioned Efcc, but guess what, Magu ran the petition through a shredder.

BTW, if you like, shout from the roof top until your voice is hoarse, Ukmail is a credible source unlike partisan Sahara reporters.
See below your credible source' publication.

Some of that money is likely to have come from UK taxpayers, who gave the country £1billion in aid over five years to 2014, including £248million in 2014 alone.

Was Amaechi the president of Nigeria in the years leading to 2014? They are so credible they credited Amaechi with Jonathan's theft.

You do realise the EFCC can initiate its own investigations don't you? I believe you're also aware that Amaechi has been indicted by the panel of inquiry set up by the State Government? It's very much public knowledge that petitions have been forwarded to the EFCC against Amaechi but the EFCC, being under the full control of the Presidency can pick and choose what petitions to honour. If the EFCC has chosen to ignore anything about Amaechi as is evident, what do you expect Rivers govt to do?

The vetting by security agencies before clearance by the Senate would have only taken cognisance of ongoing investigations or cases and conveniently, there is none against Amaechi so why wouldn't he become Minister?
My brother, if the Efcc refuses to act they can approach the court directly with their white paper. Trust me they ddnt find anything on Amaechi. With the kind of amount they claimed he stole they should be very uncomfortable by now seeing Amaechi moving about. They do not have Jack on him bro. Let them initiate a court action and shout about it let's see how the case will not go on. For your info, the head of the panel u mentioned is an arch enemy of Amaechi. A pro Jonathan judge whose court they have approached many times and left with favourable judgements. They should do what they have to do and stop all this propaganda.

You don't need to be rude young man!
Now, your position is what a complete federal system of government should be. However, it isn't exactly the case in Nigeria so u need to understand the law as far as tye offence and prosecution of financial crimes are concerned. Did u see the examples of other state governors I gave that were prosecuted by the EFCC whether successfully or not?

Why do you think financial crimes and fraud committed by a private person against another are also prosecuted by the EFCC? Why not strictly within the state where the offence was committed?

Understand these things before u insult yourself or others here please!
The rivers state govt should approach the Efcc with their petition then. But I recall the Efcc said they did due diligence on all the ministers befor they were cleared by the Senate. It is obvious that the rivers state govt have nothing on Amaechi which explains why they danced naked at the Senate to prevent his clearance. Why fight dirty if you have facts, why not do things procedurally.

Recall what happened to Reuben Abati, when he jumped into the wagon of those accusing buhari of masterminding violence against Jonathan. Do you remember? Buhari approached the court of law, Reuben Abati and others begged buhari to forgive them and withdraw the case. Reuben Abati especially sponsored a well drafted apology in the dailies. Mind you, Jonathan was the president then.

The keyword here is ALLEGED! It's either the accusers are timid or there's no concrete evidence! Allegations against Amaechi,Fashola and even Tinubu should be brought before a court in the form of a lawsuit, by now there should be hundreds of lawsuits by concerned citizens and other stakeholders who feel they have enough evidence of their corruption. So until that happens, these men are innocent until proven guilty! I'm tired of the court of media and before some ignorant monkey starts saying it's because APC is in power, why didn't Jonathan and PDP investigate those allegations? The answer is simple, no matter which way we choose to look at it,this administration is the only one that's ever given a damn about corruption and stolen funds, it may be one-sided but at least it's acting instead of turning a blind eye!

This UK dailymail must be very st.upi.d and lazy. They keep copying pdp propaganda and past on their site. What has happened to investigative journalism. They are very lame in their publications. See the way they shot themself in the foot by saying Amaechi stole money giving to the federal govt by UK govt. How miserable can they be.
If wike was sure of his concocted commission report what stops him from going to ONE OF HIS HIGH COURTS in rivers state.

This is obviously targeted at buhari. The UK knows he is coming for them hence the attacks.

The Bayelsa State Government has announced a 30 per cent slash in all political appointees pay in the state.

The state Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr. Jonathan Obuebite, who spoke on Thursday, shortly after the State Executive Council meeting in the Government House, Yenagoa, announced that the 30 per cent slash in salaries was necessitated by the prevailing economic situation.

He, however, gave a glimmer of hope for workers in the local governments, saying they would start receiving the salaries they were being owed as from Monday, May 16, 2016.

In his remarks, the Head of Service, Singabele, said the executive council directed that all permanent secretaries, heads and chief executives of parastatals and extra- ministerial departments as well as all headmasters and principals of secondary schools should prepare an authentic nominal roll and payroll of their various establishments.

CrimeRe: Warri A City With Approved Crime And Atrocities by ogmask: 4:54pm On May 12, 2016
So sorry for your loss. It's unfortunate that she died but there are some lessons to be learnt.
I have been a victim of car jacking 2x in warri. But this was bfor they added kidnapping to car snatching. I have friends who have been kidnapped and released after ransom paid. Stories abound of armed robbery and other criminal activities in warri. Truth is these things happen everywhere, even in phc where I live presently. Warri's own may be pronounced because warri as a city occupy a smaller space compared to other bigger cities.

Now to the lessons:
1. Do not ague with armed robbers no matter what you stand to lose.
2. be security conscious at all times especially when you are not used to the terrain.
3. Do not try to look at robbers in the face. They don't like it.
4. Communicate effectively bfor making any move. If you are on seatbelt, let them know and wait for their approval bfor you unclick.
5. When driving, especially in warri, try to monitor the movement of the car behind you and its occupants. If you suspect that the car is trailing you, change your course. They are usually for of them in the car.
6. Call your gateman bfor you get to your house. It's better to drive straight in than wait at the gate for the gate to be opened. Many attacks take place right at the gate while waiting for the Gaye to be opened.

Pls accept my sympathy @OP.

Question is "what did the part removal serve"?
It was good the subsidy was not removed fully then otherwise the money saved could hav gone into private pockets. If Jonathan lacked the will to do it doesn't mean that someone with balls can't do it.

The statement was well worded. It was a euphemic way of announcing the removal of fuel subsidy. It is so disheartening that we would have long gone past this if today's proponents of subsidy removal had not opposed the policy four years ago. I hope Nigerians can see clearly how they were fed lies to stir up their anger against Jonathan.
It is the way to go, but Nigerians need to ask those who came up with the policy why they resisted the removal four years ago.
The APC must apologize to Nigerians, particularly families of those who lost their lives during the subsidy protests. It is the only way of showing contrition for misleading millions of people.
Did you read where he said all stakeholders were carried along? He even went ahead to mention them. That is the game changer between then and now. GEJ engaged stakeholders after the removal while PMB had them in same room to deliberate and agree on the removal. It is called WISDOM.

Sir, I get your points and at the same time, i am not arguing your points.
I agree bad drivers cause accident more than bad roads. On the other hand bad roads cause more accident than expired tyre.
I still see no contrast.
The roads are what they are, tyres are what they are. All of these are factors within the powers of the driver. Mention one accident and I will tell you why the road and tyres can not be blamed but the driver. The road, tyres and vehicle condition are within the control of the driver. Of all the factors responsible for road accident, the driver stands alone.

As regards road accidents

Bad drivers>Bad roads>Expired tyres.

I actually see no contrast.
Who fits the expired tyres in the vehicle?
Who drives the vehicle into the bad spot/road?
Who pushes the vehicle beyond its tyre and engine capacity?
Who overload the vehicle?
We can go on and on everything will point at the driver. The issue here is what causes road accident. I said the driver can cause or prevent road accident substantially on our roads. That's the contrast.

never seen such in any country.. except ours..
they are a nuisance and bereft of any idea..
last time it was speed breaker installation.. now expired tires...
ocholi accident ..was it expired tire? the NMA accidents ..was it expired tires...
FRSC should.be scrapped soonest.... and disbanded..
they only look for ways to make money into their pocket..
FRSC was set up to create employment period. For me this is the only sensible reason for their existence. In a country where we have the police and VIO, I see no reason for FRSC other than for boys to chop.

As for the ocholi, NMA and most other accidents, I will blame the drivers. The roads are what they are but the drivers can adjust to the vehicle and road conditions. Accidents don't just happen they are caused. Those lives were lost due to the carelessness of the drivers. The road, weather, vehicle condition do not adjust to the driver's condition instead it's the driver that SHOULD adjust to their conditions.

Most of the accidents on our roads are preventable and drivers play very significant roles in accident prevention.
