With the prevailing economic situation in this country, we have companies paying 20k or less than that as salaries, and even the mininum wage is pegged at 18k by the government for civil servants,

the only challenge here for investors will be how to get sensible drivers.

Also how sensible drivers can get matched with good investors.

The banks are regulated by CBN and once you threaten them and show you know your rights, they will refund the money! I got N1,872 unauthorised charges back last year. Not much, but it's something...

First of all, I think your friend is excellent for saving that amount of money on a low wage! Many would be tempted to dip into the savings at one point or the other.

Can your friend drive?

Wikipedia does fundraiser this time every year. It is their business model, to prevent them running ads on the site. I suspect WharsApp might do the same in years to come also, as they also don't run any adverts.

You don't understand. I said there is a stanbic IBTC on this forumn whose name is Wale. He lives in Maryland and works in IBTC head office . He is on this forumn instigating other banks to increase their rates so IBTC could remain lowest. You can trace him and deal with him if you feel so frustrated. I said this long ago.

Wale sounds like a very powerful man. It's amazing to hear that he has so much power over what other banks set their rates at! Wow.

Did you see it?
When they tell you guys, you would say is not monitored. Those banks their name has not been mentioned here as part of the banks that charge less is still charging less because their name has not been mentioned. The day someone would leak their name would be the day their rate would go up.

I disagree. When all names are mentioned, the bank's know that everything is out in the open, They see their competitors rates and drive their prices down to compete favourably:

Thanks - what date did you get the message?

Your sister received email message that decision had been made not a message that the passport is ready for collection. TLScontact can only mail it out if the passport is ready for collection. Track the application and see.

Thanks

She should send a query to Tlscontact through their website.

Thanks. Was wondering if anyone had experienced anything similar, and if there was a chance her documents might have been stolen. Is that an unreasonable fear?
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ogogoro: 4:22pm On Dec 04, 2015
Hi guys, my sister applied for a UK visa and got a message saying that a decision had been made last Friday. However, she requested for her documents to be sent by courier and it had been one week now, and she has not received her passport back yet. And she submitted her documents in person at VI. How can she chase this up? Who does she contact? I'm worried that her passport might have been stolen by the courier. Is this a possibility? Why won't they communicate? Argh!

I'm an American so personally this is just my unbiased opinion. I just find it strange how Africans can refer to one another as tribes and not feel mediocre by doing so. That's all. I think a better term would probably be ethnic group, nation, kingdom, etc. Those seem alot more appropriate.

Your comment wasn't constructive and deviates from the object of conversation. I asked you to help give us the right term, and at least make your criticism constructive and you're telling us where you're from. I don't understand where you're going. Are you here to vent or to relate constructively?

Tribe is an English term, and I only selected that word to illustrate what I meant and I believe that the captive audience here also get the message and do not find it demeaning.
Culture / Re: Why Is There So Much Hatred For Other Tribes? by ogogoro: 9:17pm On Oct 03, 2015
Kanoro:

Why do you refer to each other as "tribes?" Calling each other "tribes" is a European invention to downplay the powerful kingdoms, empires, and civilizations that you come from. For example the Yoruba have historically been one of the most urbanized people in the world for at least the past 1000 years and most of them come from many different kingdoms like the Oyo, and Owu. You never hear Europeans calling the basque of Spain a "tribe" even though they only number a few million vs the Yoruba who have more people than entire European nations.

Ok, sorry. What's the right term?

Thank God they arrested the men as well. For the first time the one who steal and the one who hides the thief are both culpable. Progress.

He wants it more. Are you ready to give him more of it to his satisfaction without complaining? You hold the key to solving this problem.

This is ridiculous. When the woman wants something more (sex, money, attention - anything) should the man be ready to give her more without complaining? Or would that be a different case because it's a woman?

Reasonable ones wil use it to support their husbands.....
Buy stores, houses etc for future purposes....
Yeye ones go de giv their sugarboys and their sexmates in the name love....

Support the husbands or support the family? Why are some men so selfish? Does the world revolve around you?

For me, I'd invest it so if anything happens to me, the loved ones I leave behind have some assets in case things get rough.

You can't 'warn' your mum - she isn't a baby and she only wants to see all her kids succeed. Speak to your brother and advice him instead. He should be contributing, not draining resources.

You are doing the right thing, and in fact you should take it a step further by talking to their parents. The world is not good, and exposing these kids to strangers houses might rob them of their innocence. Well done, don't feel guilty!
