The truth is that most online stores outside Nigeria are wisening up and are unwilling to send goods to Nigeria, thanks to our ever-so-diligent Yahoo Yahoo boys. Some even refuse to process orders originating from Nigerian based IPs - I know this because I have friends that have tried to buy items over the internet - Not even physical items but software and services and they have been turned down, saying "due to high fraud levels, we cannot currently accept orders from this IP. . . etc"

Don't knock it if you haven't tried it. If you can't open one with GTB, Try ETB. I don't live in Nigeria, but with the help of someone who lives there, I was able to open one.

Yes, I think I need a business partner to help me secure contacts within Nigeria who are interested in items I have for sale. People in Nigeria often buy things at exhorbitant prices, due to the lack of thousands of competitors. I often travel to Nigeria, and I am usually shocked when I see items that cost next to nothing in the UK (If you know where to get them from - that is), selling for 3, 4 times their recommended retail price. Therefore, I have set up a project to aid sellers mostly, to buy standard (not substandard) goods from the UK at very very good prices. I have had quite a good response so far, and all I need now is to secure 2 or 3 contacts in Nigeria who are in the same line of business as I am in. (For now, I am interested in Perfume retailers.) Even with CMS, there are still tasks you cannot carry out yourself - which is very annoying! I for one, have a problem with the forms on my site which I cannot fix and my designer/programmer guy is away, holidaying in Australia and New Zealand while I'm crying here!

What sorts of things is she good at? What sort of things is she interested in? If she want to start something in her area of expertise, then I guess she would have to take into account the full cost of starting up. She would have to write up a business plan on which she puts down how she will appeal to customers and ways she will implement her services to run 2,3,4 years from now. One piece of advice - write everything down. From the cost of office paper to the cost of light bulbs - everything.
