Exactly, in retropect the 2nd republic where by far the most productive set. Military rule is the worst thing that has ever happened to Nigeria. Military "thought" they knew better. Same thing happened during the 1st republic, allegations of corruption then next thing a coup, without taking into consideration the cultural sensitivities. 4th republic never had a chance, the psyche of the Nigerian had been destroyed by that point. Politics became an avenue to make money at that point.

I look at governors of the 2nd republic like Ambrose Alli who in 4 years built 600 secondary schools, 4 colleges of education, 3 polytechnics, the first ever state university and much more. This is a man that at the end of the day couldn't even afford to bury his father.

Never said he was part of Harlem Spartans, only that he was cool with some members. Never heard of Queens Road Peckham gang. Only heard of PYG, SN1 in Peckham. I think they are now all referred to Zone 2 nowadays. He may have been affiliated with them. TBH, haven't followed these things since the late 00s so you may be right.

Number 5) Is subjective really. He was cool with some members of the Harlem Spartans of Kennington, London who are one of the well known gangs in South London. Don't think he was ever actively involved.

I've always wondered. They are in Owan West but I have never seen them refer to themselves as "Ora". Would you know what their sub-ethnic group they consider themselves to be? Esan possibly? I've always looked at them as a border community between Esan West and Owan West.

I think it stems from how people came to area in search for leopards which were to be used for sacrifice hundreds of years ago.

I genuinely find it bizarre that most Nigerians complain about the country but they are also part of the problem. The average Nigerian will do no better than the politicians there now.

Some of you talk as even if Nigeria was a developed country. Yahoo wouldn't exist. A lot of this Yahoo is borne from greed, a lack of contentment. How anyone can defend Yahoo (stealing) is beyond me. I also don't get the logic of some on this board, because one criticizes Yahoo doesn't mean they don't feel the same about religion or governance. These are not all mutually exclusive.

See bros, the security agencies were SRT up to handle manual rigging while INEC as the electoral body is supposed to ensure that IT based rigging does not happen as well. The people are supposed to vote. Its not the job of the people to prevent rigging.

I guess this may be not so much in the case of rigging but vote buying which does occur.

Even if you change your mentality, are others ready to change theirs? Same people calling politicians the if, are same people selling their votes, both you and I know so well, that without revolution, Nigeria can never go anywhere better than it is now..

Mentality change has to cut across of society. One person can't change the country. I have no idea how to solve this, a revolution could be it, who knows.

Bar rigging, you would truly see leaders voted in by the common man.

I understand what you are saying but my view is that it's the people that have allowed rigging due to short term favour over long term development.

Aren't politicians a product of Nigerian society? Put the average Nigerian in government and you will see no better. The problem goes deeper, there needs to be a complete change in "mentality" firstly.

From a logical standpoint, I never understand why people compare salaries in Nigeria to those abroad. Firstly Nigeria is a 3rd world developing country. Secondly, one should be looking at the Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) of the wage, what can you buy with 70k in Nigeria compared to e.g. 500,000k in Canada. Anyway, regardless 70k is far too low.
