Then you can apply for PhD. Mostly full funding is available for PhD students. You need to research on the schools to pick. Type your course on the search tab and check the student visa thread. There are many Engineering students. Just ask, still do your own research.

Yildiz:

Ennies02, same comments again. Try work on them

MrChillz:
It doesn't matter. As long as you're able to explain why you chose the school and how you heard about it.

The first bolded, your starting line get as e be. Don't you select the schools wt the program first and check their requirements. Read previous transcripts

The second one, think about it again. Why that prog stands apart in that school.

The third, that sector you want to work in, what will you do exactly with the knowledge you have acquired. Be specific.

Fourth: you really have to defend the school. I hope it's not the same VO that interviewed you. Sorry

ennies02:

EducationRe: How To Achieve High Scores On The GRE by OGreene: 8:10am On Jul 29, 2017
314 is okay. Full scholarship is based on a combination of diff factors of which your test score is part of.
Apply to schools that normally fund international students. Do a thorough search. All the best!!

Yildiz:
Please house I need help. I have written gre before. My scores were V155 Q159 A3.0. Is that a good result for full scholarship or do I need to write again

Aug 29th. Wakanow and Travelstart

Also Aug 24th is 223k wt RA. Maroc to jfk

Time2Smile:
Where did you get the above rates and for which dates.?
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 12 by OGreene: 4:48pm On Jul 28, 2017
Alright. I got 296k to DC The other cheaper deal is N223k to New York with Royal Air Maroc

Just thinking the Qatar deal is better for me, the stress of connecting to DC from jfk might be equal to the price difference

MrChillz:
Mackynaija used Qatar to Houston this week. Another member left with Qatar today. You can read up Mackynaija's review. Just search it up.

I was in for the 6:30AM appointment. I saw the crowd and joined at the end. About 15 minutes later, 6:30 batch was called to line up in front followed by 7:00AM batch and so on. The screening started, I got in and did my biometrics and joined the feeder line. Hmmm, the atmosphere was tight. I paid little attention to the interviews going on because I felt I will distracted by the rejections. I saw the elderly lady and wished to be interviewed by her. When I was placed in front of her, I said this is a good sign.

VO – Pass me your passport and i-20 (no smile at all. I passed them with sevis payment confirmation)
VO – What is your highest qualification?
Me – Bachelor’s degree in Zoology
VO – When did you graduate?
Me - 2010
VO – What have you been doing since then?
Me – I went for the compulsory youth service, then worked with a human resource firm and finally joined Banking, I currently work in a Bank.
VO – Oh, so you work in a Bank!
Me – Yes ma’am
VO – So why did you chose this school?
Me – Because the curriculum fits my career interest perfectly: It has a huge emphasis on Economics and... (she cut in)
VO – How many schools did you apply to?
Me - 5
VO – How many admitted you? Name them
Me – 5 of them. Columbia Uni... (she stopped typing and looked at me, her eyes lit up. I continued, and maintained eye contact...) University of California Berkeley, University of Minnesota, University of Pittsburgh and then Johns Hopkins which is the one I chose to attend.
VO – She mentioned the financial aid on my i-20, and then asked what my father’s occupation is
Me - He is a business man
VO – What exactly?
Me - He is into importation, mostly general clothing
VO – Does he have a physical shop?
Me - Yes, he does
VO – Do you have family in the US?
Me - Not at all, only several friends.
VO – Where will you be staying?
Me – I will rent an apartment. I am in the Admitted students’ group on Facebook and have connected with other students. Those already in D.C have started apartment hunting and they give regular feedback with pictures to the rest of us outside the US. I have seen some I like, usually a room in a 2 or 3 bedroom apartment, a room averages $800 and $50 for utility. I will finally pay for one when I get there.
VO – I will be approving your visa. Please keep your i-20 and pick up your passport at this location. I was now beaming with smile, picked up the white paper and made for the door.

I was done by 7:30AM. Saw someone I know outside, hers was also approved. I saw many others with dejected look and I referred them to this thread, they have no idea this thread exists. I told them I gained a lot from here and knew what to expect. So grateful!

To those yet to go for interview, study all the likely questions so that you won’t be taken unawares. No question was new to me as I have read a lot of transcripts, and few days ago, I listed the questions and give my answers to them. If you can’t get anyone to do a mock interview, just stand in front of the mirror and do it, see that you are flowing. Don't cram, have the key points you need to mention and expand on it.

Good luck to those yet to go for the interview. Is there an element of grace? Absolutely!

Hi all, my visa wasn't approved on Monday and I'm considering giving it another shot next week. I'll like to know if the F1 visa refusal won't affect the renewal of my b1/b2, though it's expiring in November but i don't plan to travel before it expires.

Abuja again.

My friend went for his interview this morning, he got scholarship from the school and his uncle will foot the rest. He said his uncle is into importation of cars, VO asked which country he imports from, he answered. VO now said he should send his uncle's bill of lading together with the statement of account (my friend was with account statement but they didn't look at it there).

VO gave him a yellow paper. I'm hopeful for him, he will send the docs to the Embassy this afternoon

I will post his full transcript when he sends it to me

Visa approval

So I got in...was scared and lost hope because of the blue papers that were been given. Like it was really much, only few white papers. Even the lady that interviewed me was dashing blue paper out like christmas gift

- So it got to my turn and she said "pass me your passport and i20". I did
- Looked at my i20 and said "why do I want to go to University of New Hampshire".
She flipped through my passport
- I said, "The school has a highly rated IT program. A program that integrates in class learning with professional and practical learning. It also has a student-faculty ratio of 19:1 which makes it easy for me to access my lecturers"
- She just looked at her system with a blank expression and kept quiet. I thought that I messed up. I now said "also... "
(she looks at me) "also the curriculum is in line with my current job duties here in Nigeria, the courses they offer include...*i listed them all*....and those are my duties here".
- Then she picked up the white paper and said "pick up ur passport in 3day's time at the location in this paper".
[My passport is over fresh and blank. I'm going for Masters in Information Technology. The thing dint even last for 2mins]

This interview dey sweet me ehh.. I have tapped grin When you are asked that first question, nail it and make sure you cover all needed in the short time given. I loved how the guy continued when the VO went quiet. He described what the course will do for him, his job duties and the courses he will take.
