The terrorist attack by the fulani herdsmen, boko-haram and other Islamic religious extremist started several years ago, and in those years there was unabated attacks on the populace in the north, churches and mosques were not spared, and infact markets and motor parks which were patronised by bothe christians and muslims were continually bombed leading to the death of several victims who are members of the two major religions in the country, even traditional worshippers and atheist were not spared, the attacks which gained momentum in the days of former president Jonathan continued into the tenure of late president Buhari and under Tinubu’s watch the terrorist are quickly spreading their attacks. But just recently the United States has designated Nigeria as a country of particular concern and has warned of possible attack on terrorists in the country if attacks on christians in the country does not stop. The Government of Donald Trump believes that christians are. Being targeted and killed in mass in the country. But President Tinubu and and his aides has refuted the claim that christians are being targeted, among those who raised their voice against such narrative are two power stcophants Femi Fani Kayode and a Nigerian social media influencer and firmer aide to president Jonathan Reno Omokri. But Nigerians have dug up past tweets by Reno Omokri and FFK condenming the attacks as christian genocides and including that of president Tinubu calling for the removal of then president Jonathan. Even in 2014 the opposition party of APC went as a delegation which included current Nigerian president Tinubu to the U.S just to discredit the government of then president jonathan for the world to see him as incompetent.

The United States Department of State has announced an update to its non-immigrant visa policy for Nigerians. According to a press release issued by the US Embassy in Abuja on Tuesday, “most non-immigrant and non-diplomatic visas issued to citizens of Nigeria will be single-entry visas with a three-month validity period.” The new visa restrictions take immediate effect. However, the embassy clarified that, “those US non-immigrant visas issued before July 8, 2025, will retain their status and validity.” The statement emphasised that this move is part of the Department’s global visa reciprocity process, which the embassy described as “a continuous process and is subject to review and change at any time, such as increasing or decreasing permitted entries and duration of validity.” The US explained the rationale behind the policy update, noting that “US visa criteria and standards are designed to protect the integrity of US immigration systems.” The embassy added that “these standards are based on global technical and security benchmarks.” According to the embassy, the US Mission is working with Nigerian authorities to meet these benchmarks. “The US Mission is working with the Government of Nigeria to ensure that Nigeria can meet the criteria,” the statement said. Examples of these standard criteria include “Secure Travel Documents: Ensuring countries issue secure travel documents with verified traveler identities. “Visa Overstay Management: Implementing measures to limit overstays by travelers on US visas, and Information Sharing: Sharing relevant security and/or criminal record information to protect public safety.” Despite the new restrictions, the embassy reaffirmed its diplomatic relationship with Nigeria. “The United States values its longstanding relationship with Nigeria and remains committed to expanding our partnership based on mutual respect, shared security priorities, and economic opportunity, keeping both our countries safer and stronger,” the statement read. The embassy also expressed support for ongoing Nigerian reforms, stating, “We commend the ongoing efforts by the Government of Nigeria’s immigration and security agencies to meet standards of international best practices.” Nigerian travelers were advised to comply with visa regulations. “Nigerian travelers are encouraged to respect and adhere to the terms of their visas, and ensure travel documents are authentic, accurate, and up to date,” it added. The embassy concluded with a reaffirmation of its engagement with the Nigerian people and government.“The United States remains a committed partner in deepening people-to-people ties with Nigeria via business, educational, and cultural exchanges. “We look forward to continued cooperation at all levels with the Nigerian public and government officials to ensure safe and lawful travel between the United States and all countries,” it said |

THIS IS WHAT THE SITE THAT HAS VIRUS IS SAYING: Have you ever seen a movie where a child was raised by animals? I mean movies like Tarzan and the likes. You might think that all that happened in the movie were a fiction that it can't happen in real life. Sorry to burst your bubble because all these happened in real life and children's who are raised by these animals are usually referred to as a feral child or wild Child. A feral child (also called wild child) is a human child who has lived isolated from human contact from a very young age, and so has had little or no experience of human care, behaviour or human language.Feral children lack the basic skills that are normally learned humans, for example, they may have trouble learning to walk upright after walking on fours all their lives or display a complete lack of interest in the human activity around them. They often seem mentally impaired and have almost insurmountable trouble learning a human language. So as you've now known what a feral child means, i will be listing 3 human children who were ferals. 1. John Ssebunya - Ugandan Monkey Boy John Ssebunya was born in the early 80s. He is a runaway boy who ran away from home at the age of three after witnessing the brutality of his father murdering his own mother. After John left home at an early age he went to live in an unknown forest inhabited by monkeys. Also Read: 6 Years After Labista Broke His Skull While Acting As an Armed Robber, See His Recent Photos He was discovered by a woman called Millie in 1991 who saw him playing with monkeys in the trees. On seeing this, Millie quickly ran to the nearest village as she called on some abled men to help take the boy away from the monkeys, which the villagers also helped, as they chased the monkeys is away well they help to rescued the boy in a very tough fight, as the monkeys were trying to protect the young boy while John also resisted capture. After John was captured he was unable to work as he was always crawling the way Monkeys Do with scars all over his knees due to the crawling. He was initially unable to speak clearly, as he always makes noise like monkeys do but now, he has been helped on how to speak human language. John can now talk, sings, and tours with the Pearl of Africa children’s choir. John was the subject of the BBC documentary Living Proof, screened on 13th of October 1999. 2. Dina Sanichar Dina Wawa found among wolves the early age of six in 1867. He was discovered by some Hunters who went into the forest for hunting when they noticed that among the Wolves, there was one who looked like a human. On seeing this, they followed him to where he lives and on the trail, they noticed that it was a human walking like a wolf on all his four limbs. The hunters burnt the Wolves den and while the wolves were trying to escape, they were shot dead, while they rescued Dina. Dina reportedly exhibited all the habits of a wild animal, tearing off clothes and eating food from the ground. He became addicted to tobacco and died in 1895. 3. Daniel - The Andes Goat Boy Daniel was found in the Andes, Peru, in 1990, and was said to have been raised by goats for 8 solid years. He was said to behave like a goat as he walked on all his four limbs and also learnt to bleat as goats do. Daniel was said to have survived by eating grass and roots and also by drinking goat's milk. 4. Bello The Nigerian Chimp Boy Bello was found in 1996, at the early age of 2. He was said to have been abandoned by his parents at about 6 months old. Bello was was said to be a disabled child of the Fulani tribe, found in Falgore forest, 150 km south of Kano, as he was living among chimpanzees who were said to have raised him since he was 6 months old. When he was rescued from the chimpanzees, he was said to have behaved like one as he was always working on his four limbs, while he couldn't stand up again because he has been walking like that since he was 6 months and his limbs have already gotten adapted to the style. After six years of living among humans, Bello still finds it hard to just walk like a human being and also behave like a human because his mentality has been formed into that of a chimpanzee. Sadly, Bello died in 2005. What's your opinion on this? please drop your thoughts in the comment section below and don't forget to click on the follow button to get more contents from us. |
THE REAL HISTORY OF LAGOS.(who can lay claim to the land). source: wikipedia. Researched by Ejike Michael According to the oral history of Lagos, at some point around 1300-1400 CE, the Oba (King) of the Benin Empire - who used to send trade expeditions to Ghana, where spices were traded - heard from one of his traders complaints about the way she was being treated by the Awori who lived in the area of current day Lagos. The Oba of Benin then sent a trade expedition by sea to engage with the Awori people, who nonetheless declined to engage and attacked the mission sent by Benin. Upon hearing this as the mission returned to Benin City, the Oba of Benin commanded the assembling of a war expedition, led by Ado, a Benin Prince, which headed to the settlement of the Awori (current-day Lagos; then called Eko by the Benin people) and demanded an explanation. On getting there, Ado and his army were more than well received - the Awori from Lagos asked Benin Prince Ado to stay there and become their leader. Ado agreed, on the condition that they surrendered their sovereignty to the Oba of Benin, to which the Awori people of Lagos agreed. Upon hearing this, the Oba of Benin gave his permission for Prince Ado and the expedition to remain in Eko with the Awori. The Oba of Benin later sent some of his chiefs, including the Eletu Odibo, Obanikoro and others, to assist Ado in the running of Eko. From the crowning of Ado as its first Oba, Lagos (then called Eko) served as a major center for slave-trade, from which then Oba of Benin Ado and all of his successors for over four centuries benefitted - until 1841, when Oba Akitoye ascended to the throne of Lagos and tried to ban slave-trading. Local merchants s trongly opposed the intended move, and deposed and exiled the king, and installed Akitoye's brother Kosoko as Oba. At exile in Europe, Akitoye met with British authorities, who had banned slave-trading in 1807, and who therefore decided to support the deposed Oba to regain his throne. With the success of the British intervention, in 1851 was reinstalled as Oba of Lagos. In practical terms, however, British influence over the kingdom had become absolute, and ten years later, in 1861, Lagos was formally annexed as a British colony. Eko was the land area now known as Lagos Island where the king's palace was built. The palace is called Iga Idunganran, meaning "palace built on the pepper farm". Oba Ado and the warriors from Benin, as well as some of the indigenous people who sought safety, settled down in the southern part of Eko called "Isale Eko", Isale literally meaning bottom, but must have been used to indicate downtown (as in Downtown Lagos). The first king of Lagos, Oba Ado, apart from having two sons also had a daughter Erelu Kuti, who begat Ologun Kutere, who later became king. Shokun his brother, who was more aggressive and whom the Erelu suspected could plan a palace coup, was given a chieftaincy title, "Onile-gbale", and a palace just behind the king's palace. This was the first time that a Chief would be appointed and installed at the same time as a King's coronation. Oba Akitoye who ceded Lagos to the British was oba Kosoko's uncle. Oba Akitoye was the first Oba not to be buried in a Bini. Prior to this, all the Kings of lagos were buried in Bini. They passed on taxes to the Oba of Bini until the British came and explained that there was no need to send taxes to Bini anymore especially as the Binis themselves were paying taxes to Britain. It was during his reign that the direct influence of the Binis on Lagos ended. Oba Kosoko believed in the slave trade and was at loggerheads with the British, hence his dethronement and flight, first to Badagry and later to Epe, Nigeria where he founded kingdoms that still exist today. Past Obas (Kings)Edit Main article: Oba of Lagos Ashipa (1600–1630) died on the way back to Benin King Ado (1630–1669) first King of Lagos King Gabaro (1669–1704) King Akinsemoyin (1704–1749) Eletu Kekere (1749) King Ologun Kutere (1749–1775) Adele Ajosun (1775-1780 & 1832-1834) Eshilokun (1780–1819) Oba Idewu Ojulari (1819–1832) King Oluwole (1836–1841) King Akintoye (1841-1845 & 1851-1853) Oba Kosoko (1845–1851) King Dosunmu [Docemo] (1853–1885) Oba Oyekan (1885–1900) Oba Esugbayi Eleko (1901-1925 & 1932) Oba Ibikunle Akitoye (1925–1928) Oba Sanusi Olusi (1928–1931) Oba Falolu (1932–1949) Oba Adeniji Adele (1949–1964) Oba Adeyinka Oyekan II (1965–2003) Oba Rilwan Akiolu (2003–present) Modern-day Lagos was founded by the Bini in the sixteenth century. It was later called Eko. The Portuguese explorer Ruy de Sequeira who visited the area in 1472, named the area around the city Lago de Curamo; the present name is Portuguese for "lakes". An alternate explanation is that Lagos was named for Lagos, Portugal - a maritime town which at the time was the main center of the Portuguese expeditions down the African coast and whose own name is derived from the Celtic word Lacobriga. When the Colony and Protectorate of Nigeria was established in 1914 Lagos was declared its capital. Lagos experienced rapid growth throughout the 1960s and 1970s as a result of Nigeria's economic boom prior to the Biafran War. This continued through the 1980s and 1990s up to the present date. Lagos was the capital of Nigeria from 1914 - 1991 when the capital was moved to Abuja. Abuja is a capital like Washington, DC in USA and Brasilia in Brazil in that it was built from scratch specifically to be a capital. |
