Speaking of Desserts and Oasis, I wouldn't hold my breath to find any Oasis in Delta State..

Its purely a place to do business, make money and move on.

I passed by Warri this weekend on my way to Benin.. I know Delta quite well. From Uromi to Ogwashiukwu (or something like that), e.t.c..
Can you just shut it already

For a gubernatorial election you didn't contest for or win at the first place?

The court judgement substituting you in this instance is already an affront on morals and common sense at the first place.

It will be recalled that the Nigerian stock market crashed by N1.732tn in one year of the Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government.

It is very pleasing to hear that the Government of Uganda is very accommodating towards Nigerians in Uganda based on the long standing relationship and support established by a prominent Yoruba son,
grin grin So Yorubas also have that Ugandan connection?

Haba why change d story, you guys were praising d NDA when they started this madness, saying they will cripple nigerian government, ur eyes are clear now that the madness is beyond control
You still don't get it,
I was never in support of NDA or whatever splinter militant groups out there from the onset. But coming to Nairaland sometimes and reading such hate-mock statements from the South Westerners like yourself gave me strong reasons to.

Coupled with the fact, those environmental degradation balderdash you guys spew was to cover up the fact that it was not about LOVE for the ND people welfare concerns at the first place but for the oil coming from the land and that sucks

I sincerely don't want to digress from the subject of this thread but please World Warhuh

You are simply dragging comprehension and understanding of world events to the extreme with your conclusions though. From your analysis of international relations, you still see the likelihood of a World War happening talk more of South/North Korea catalysing it, really?

We have had worst world war causing conflicts since UN-1945 {check history} and none of them snowballed into a full-blown World war?

But you thinking of the possibility of skirmishes in the Korean peninsula to spark it?

[size=13pt] Some nitwits from the South West are rejoicing over this. They have succeeded in twisting the idea behind the spillage to mean another thing.

I sense they are happy. These are some of the reasons this Nigerian project will not work.

Some idiots rejoicing over spillage shows how low and stupid their reasoning is.

Bro NORTH and SOUTH Korea wasn't well managed always Google your thoughts b4 posting them.

Some people will use that point of urs to argue blindly in some quarters.

NORTH N SOUTH KOREA war (basically a proxy war btw U.S n Russia during the cold war) caused the war and eventual seperation of the two countries (not due to ethnicity or religion) but due to ideology. The soviets n Chinese occupied the north n u.s occupied the south.

THOSE who were trapped in the south n north. Became the citizens..NOBODY WAS ALLOWED TO CROSS BORDERS!
Till today 'reunification is one of the main campaign topics during elections (in the south). As for the north any one who tries to escape is SHOT!

Sk or Nk are technically "still @ war" and tomorrow if an animal (chicken or lion) is seen crossing the DMZ IT WILL BE SHOT! That's how serious the situation is!
I was expecting this line of rebuttal which is quite typical of Nairaland arguments.

I was very much aware of the tense situation hence I used worst while describing it. so save the Google epistle you reeled out.

You simply took the North & South Korea worst case example I gave and made a meal out of it

will u consider the mid-west problem(Edo and delta),even with pockets of Igbo communities e.g. Okwasshiukwu..
Please I am from the mid-west and I can't remember any problem with the current geo-political zone as being structured and they are just not. pockets of Igbo communities, they take about 11 LG out of 25 LGs of Delta state.
even if u call them South-South,where they not extracted from the western region in 1962?
This is not a problem as earlier stated
Now,away frm geography,what happens to family ties(inter-marriages)?
Really? When does inter-marriages become a problem with secession? The worst case example of North and South Korea break is well managed as it is
Is it flag independence that matters or viability of the state?
Viability matters hence the need for true federalism as being clamoured for currently. Worst case we secede

Like Awolowo said, Nigeria is a mere geographical entity! That is why you can't really compare Nigeria to those countries

Egyptians are to a great extent one people

We don't have that! The number of tribes in Kogi state itself is wahala

Moreso, I said we are democratically too young! Our democracy is still 16years

The major opposition party as at now has no National Party Chairman!

That was and is my point - we seem a bit democratically young!we are still having cases of 5 lawmakers impeaching a speaker over-ruling other 15 lawmakers!
Sorry to say but your submissions seems to be skewed and tad naive.

So Nigeria being a mere geographical entity according to your Awolowo negates nationhood? If I may ask which country is not a geographical entity?
Even if we are to follow your supposed Awolowo premise of mere geographical entity, Didn't that just suggest we go our separate ways since we don't have what it takes to sustain nationhood?

The Center for Global Development 2006 Working Paper suggest that Age in a democracy doesn't matter provided the younger democracies enact proactive fiscal structures, economic and policy directions that have widespread impact and approval or it stand a risk of democratic reversal.

We are ripe enough to restructure the country to fiscal federalism or we will just succeed in delaying the inevitable and patching through the same way we have been doing since 1966.

Truth be told, a substantial part of the country feel cheated and agitated with the status quo.

As much I would love to support this but I think you should understand that even if we allow SS keep 90% of proceeds from oil it will remain the same way as it is today.
You seem to be very confident with your pessimism about the South-South.

What gave you that strong impression if I may ask?
PoliticsRe: True Federalism, Its Advantages And Implications. by Oildichotomy(m): 11:45pm On Jun 13, 2016
Anybody telling us about a particular region pulling out because of Fiscal federalism is just showing insecurity and crass laziness.

I know for sure the Niger Delta ain't pulling out for no reason if federalism is practised to the latter.

The current system feeds the current drive of succession and truth be told we cannot continue like this or this vicious cycle of ethnic divisions, nepotism and corruption will continue unabated.

I observed your comments right from a different thread sir and was patient enough to observe your idiosyncrasies to a different one.
If I tell you what I do for a living, you will know it is quite easy to dig out dust about anybody even in a faceless forum like nairaland

You evidently were going somewhere with all your comments, every step of the way, with an unmistakable understanding of special issues.
The origin of my comments were borne out of the fact that you annoyingly quoted me from a thread I created that have absolutely nothing to do with the comment I made on your WazobiaFM thread.

Now that you and I seem to be knowing each other and coasting home you suddenly are trying to turn around, to confuse me. MISTAKEN ID.
Sorry to bust your bubble sir, We weren't really coasting home together as it were, I was actually having fun all the way, I felt it was so from your end till you went all insecured, jittery and you resorted to name-calling so I sensed something fishy and I just have to put you out of the suspense
