on a serious note, i don't know what amuses the yorubas about the civil war. I read all the post on this page and i almost cried. the thing there is they never attacked anybody, they only wanted to be on their own because of maltreatment and it ended in a civil war. A genocide.

MY IGBO BROTHERS I HAIL YOU.

if the muslims in Nigeria especially those up north come together to fight terrorism then, nobody would call muslims terrorists. But what do they do? They keep mute and say if they talk they would be killed. Silience it self is an aid to voilence or evil. For now every muslim north and south is a potential terrorist.

PoliticsRe: Ending Off-shore Derivation by oiseworld: 7:11am On Mar 22, 2012
bayooooooo: I have read the thread from beginning till end. The North's position is quite correct on this point. There's limit to what can be claimed on the sea by any state with a subsumed sovereignty under Nigeria.

The real trouble with Nigeria is not the solid unity in the North but the clear fact that such thing as the South does not exist. Going by the scenarios on Nairaland alone which mirror Nigerian reality, the best and the most trusted alliance the West can make is with the North. Only that such alliance should not be made on the basis of a divided West but of course on at least politically harmonious one and be made by people who truly understand the grand scheme of "things". Nigeria is a jungle and being a political gentleman can not fetch you anything in Nigeria.

Of course alternative is to push for a bold reform and restructuring to guarantee a true federal system in which case each unit can develop at its own pace without bordering so much about who controls the center.
"the north position is not correct"
If only the northerners could be trusted which is impossible the south might be willing to trade some oil derivatives on behalf of Nigeria. 1. Abolish shariah in the entire country, 2. Stop the useless promotion Islam we don't want it.
Guys you can continue the list.
PoliticsRe: Ending Off-shore Derivation by oiseworld: 9:35pm On Mar 21, 2012
ekt_bear: Then why don't the land and the resources belong to all Nigerians?

What is the argument for ONSHORE derivation that somehow also is not an argument for OFFSHORE?

How can you claim the people of State X own their land, but don't own the water that belongs to their land?
i taya ohh bro. am surprised it has gotten to this. You can't seperate the sea from the states. Abi how i go talk am self? They bear the bad of the sea not the notherners. Loot at the tsunamies and tonadoes oil spillage and so on that take place in the sea and its coastal cities, nobody is talking about that. but with oil matter people from very distance region say na their own. Too bad. If gold is found in the desert up north where nobody lives them go say na their own. They even rear cattles from state to state soooootay fulani say na them get land.

As long as nigeria through delta, bayelsa, rivers extend over 200 meters into the sea, then those states own the sea and its resources.

@op tell them, one ex boko guy confessed to this you said, they are desperate at it and won't stop for nothing but by the sword.

GET RID OF THEIR LEADERS AND THE FLOCK WOULD SCATTER.

Let all the southerners call their leaders to order. Christians sit you pastors down, youth come together, yorubas, igbos, south south, get your true leaders, not the politicians.
The appointed time has come.

General beaf,
Wetin na, oboy you surprise me, by now you should have known some nairalanders are on the seach of beaf, to oppose any comment you make no matter how sensible or reasonable it sounds. Just IGNORE THEM. Them are seeking attention.

@OP i agree with you.i followed dat thread it was a shocker. How yorubas blamed igbos for a fight that occured in mile 12, an area igbos don't stay. It shows the extent of their fear for the north. the yorubas are the problem of this nation. I know what am saying you would find out soon.
PoliticsRe: Confusion In Police Headquarter Abuja by oiseworld: 1:00pm On Mar 21, 2012
jaybee: I'm sorry but the guy is guite ryte. if mr. president did not cause the confusion himself, then aided and abetted it. for your information he is in charge. COMMANDER IN CHIEF OF THE ARMED FORCES. he is at the center of it all. if mr. president don't appreciate the enormous responsibility on his shoulders then he is not fit. nigerians that gave him the mandate, on his request, must always require accountability from him.
how did mr president cause the confusion. He was not surppose to be president shee? Sorry, our presidency is not a time table you should follow. And is that a good reason for killing innocent people and lawlessness, we shall soon see.
PoliticsRe: Hausa, Yoruba Clash In Lagos Over Murdered Youth. Hausa Go On Rampage! by oiseworld: 12:37pm On Mar 21, 2012
kettykin: my suggestion is that all igbos and nigerdeltans living in mile 12 should vacate immediately becos there will be an after shock bigger then the first, if nzeogwu had not intervened in 1966 matter that he had no business with him se and ss wont be were they are today, the private armies of hausa /fulani must have been mobilized by now for any eventuality from yorubas.
igbos don't really stay in mile 12 oga! This is purely aan hausa/yoruba affair.

afam4eva: All indications show that they're winning so they can make as much mouth as they want.
who told u they are winning? Don't believe all those talks they are actually loosing fast you would soon see.

And who said that southerners should come home. Ok we put a challenge to them. We want their land. US got IRAC, france and england got Libya. Now southern nigeria wants northern nigeria. They should giveway.
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Says "We Have Closed All Doors For Dialogue With Government" by oiseworld: 11:21am On Mar 21, 2012
this northern animals are just too easy to stop.. They are cows and how do you scatter a herd? Kill the sheephard and the herds would scatter. They keep looking up at their leaders they can actually do nothing. Take IBB,ATIKU,BUHARI and some major Religious and traditional leaders. Walahi! The north would go silent like a graveyard.!
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Says "We Have Closed All Doors For Dialogue With Government" by oiseworld: 11:13am On Mar 21, 2012

now, togetjer wit the SS and SE they could stand the north. Aboki fear igbo pass anything, the furthest they can go is kill them in the north nothing else.

So lost 'desola' get to know who the real enermies are. Dem they even show you for your own land. Wise up, all your post do not show what pricisely the igbos have done wrong or against ur people. even my dog find his way home.

KAI !!!!!! una no go kill me with laugh!!!
I still choose not to believe that desola is yoruba, i tink shes from the north tring to bring disunity between the yorubas and igbos.

Nevertheless, i think its time i revealed to you one big secret about Awolowo the legend of yoruba land. AWO as he was purpularly called was indeed a wise man. He knew the north was gaining grround in the soithwest and they could not fight them alone. The reason he alligned with the north to stop igbos from breaking off. He new they had common interests as the north continued to penetrate im the name of islam.

moderattor: d'banj has left them for good, just like 2face left plantation boys.
They should wake up to that.
Its obvious d'banj has got new targets for his carreer and don jazzy wasnt meeting up with that.
Look at d'banj, thd most promising Nigerian musician.
In 3 years time, he would be a threat the chris yellow abi brown and their likes in the US.
The US should know that a kokomaster has come to town.
Oh, 2face is dulling me.
leave them make dem dey talk rubbish. Its all dbanjs fault to have always shouted "don jazzy again" at the begining of ever song, so they think hes one dull guy who donjazzy backs and bottle feed.

these same people are the ones who are members of boko haram. If they don't strike as boko haram they would fight as fulanis. And someone said we should give them amnesty as boko haram or as fulani herds armed with police and millitary clothing.
BusinessRe: YouWIN Final Awardees/Winners Announced by oiseworld: 9:39am On Mar 20, 2012
i believe the process was fair and credible but the whole programm lost focus. I say this because you win has mixed things up, its surppose to be for innovative ideas not just for people with business. they said youths with innovation.

From the first they i saw their curriculum i new they had lust direction. Valie proposition is different from innovation. Can the YouWiN team boost that all 1200 winners are actually doing things that have never been done before. Youwin is doing the job of bank of industry, commercial banks, microfinance banks which is not what they claim in there name.
They are focused on job creation which is good, but why then call on innovators. We left our factories, and our creativity to attend lectures, well fine. So when the names came out its a different thing entirely. congrats all the same.
