Not a business school, but an international primary and secondary school preferably with boarding facilities

Except I didn't get his first point, I think he is talking about a business school like the Lagos business school for professionals and not a university or secondary school.
That said, I struggle to see a school like that do well anywhere else than Lagos.

The market seems to be firing on all cylinders. Its like ones I start admiring a stock if I should enter, some people will just whisper to themselves to increase the price. See Afripud that was around N4 a few weeks ago that I was beginning to give a looking, see it not creating a new high every day.

Just to put things in perspective, assuming I invest $1k, how will it run at the end of year 1? Is the profit reinvested or whatever?
Dsticks47:
We have 2 products in our Dollar Category.
1: Vantage Dollar Fund (VDF)
2: High Yield Dollar Note.(HYDN)

VDF
The fund is an Open-ended Fixed Income Dollar Fund and will invest in Nigerian Originated Dollar Denominated assets (Sovereign and Corporates). The fund seeks to provide investors with bias for dollar denominated securities access to such securities, which ordinarily would be inaccessible to them by virtue of the minimum amount typically required to make such investments.

Key Features

· Open-ended unit trust scheme which is duly authorised registered in Nigeria

· The minimum investment amount is US$500 with additional investments in multiples of US$1.00. The Fund Manager however reserves the right to review these amounts as the need arises.

· Redemption will be paid within 5 Business Days after the relevant documents have been submitted to the Fund Manager.

· Every unit holder shall be entitled to receive from the Fund Manager an Electronic Certificate for the number of units purchased by such unit holder. The Electronic Certificate shall be conclusive evidence of the number of units held.

· The minimum holding period in the fund shall be 180 days. However, the Fund Manager is aware that investors might have need for their monies within the minimum holding period and as such would allow redemption during the minimum holding period subject to a 15% charge on the positive total return on the units being redeemed on the day of redemption.

· Dividend will be paid from the income earned to unit holders annually.

· Dividend can either be reinvested into the fund or credited into the unit holders’ bank accounts via electronic means

· Interest earned is currently between 4% to 6% per annum

Kindly find Attached details for the HYDN

Madam mcy, come and tell us the name of the company. You seem to have the gift of interpreting different tongues.

onegentleguy:
So I did an extensive analysis yesterday and found out a certain coy in a certain sector that holds IMMENSE VALUE !!

On the surface, those who look to focus only on earnings delivery(NPM in view) without a deep consideration of other very key valuation metrics will probably not see the huge potential therein.
I look @ the coys financial print(last 3 quarters in view), and I see some similarities with the drive for VALUE like that of WAPCO and NEIMETH in recent times.
...inherent REWARD is by far, way ahead of the combination of surrounding RISK and current asset PRICE !!

Using a fine blend of appropriate valuation models which incorporates a high risk premium, there's a strong chance that the said coy can deliver over 115% ROI in the short to mid-term and near 170% looking past the mid-term horizon or should there be a possible buy out.
With the said asset, the probability of a +ROI play is already near 1.

It is well.

Very good presentation skills. I like the reference to Ladipo market, like spare parts market like stock market.
Audacius:
There are a lot of resources online. You can’t hack it without researching and reading. Keep reading, here and other sources.
The idea is not to start trading immediately. Like someone indicated, the market is going nowhere. When you are ready, it’s there. I started following the market as far back as 2003 and could only get actively involved from 2011.

However, summarily from me:
All companies you see are either privately owned (Ltd) or publicly quoted (Plc)
Publicly quoted companies allow anyone so interested to be a part owner (shareholder)
A shareholder becomes an owner by buying shares of the company after it has been broken down into shares.
Shares are units of any public quoted company.
The stock exchange (NSE) is the only Ladipo market for shares trading, where you can buy shares and sell those shares if no longer interested.
Shareholders profit from companies by 1) taking their share of profits(dividends) which can be once a year or two times.
2) by selling the shares they have whenever the price goes beyond the purchase price.
The dynamics of the above is why books have been written and we have over 6000 pages of rich insights, jokes, camaraderie, fights and insults on this thread. (Mind you very many other pages were lost during a glitch sometime ago).

I wonder if this counts as a summary though. Just my own way of providing answer to your question.

Peace.

My dear, there is everything wrong with it according to them o. People are begining to ask question about the use of the word Lekki massacre and if there was really wide spread killing that night but those who want the killing to have happened do not even want to hope that people didn't die.

They wish more than anything that people really die, so anyone who ask sensible questions has to be called out.

All I see you do is blame. My statement was very clear, Libya is worse today than it was pre Gadaffi's demise. At the end of any major crisis, the question is not usually whose was right, rather it becomes what is left.

There is always the need to look at the bigger picture. The bait thrown at Libyans was freedom of speech, today many of those who started that famous protests do not even have freedom of living.

An average Libyan today will look back and ask himself if this was what they really wanted at the end of the day.

Some businesses never recover from civil unrest like this. Worse for anyone that took loan, that will be the end.

Those supporting crisis only have to look at how prosperous Libya once was and where it is today.

I am sure the owners of those businesses would not have minded if it was SARS that helped prevent the hoodlums from destroying their business.

But oga Ema, how come the market is not yet reacting? I do not understand at all.

I love Aisha Yesufu but i think she is going about things the wrong way. She is thinking emotionally not strategically. I watched some of her interviews with TVC and Arise during the early stage of the protest.

She couldn't give a logical reason why protest should continue after the GOvt accepted the 5 demands. She was just beating about the bush. Talking about Govt cannot be trusted.

Ok now, appoint leaders to go and make sure Govt sticks to their promise. No way. They said leaders have failed us.

Instead of her to come out plain and say she want Buhari to step down. She can't say that.

All fire and brimstone, no strategy.

There is a reason why they teach Strategy and stakeholder management in Management schools.

She was just fanning the flames. Haba.

No wonder countries like China do not allow social media in their country.

It can also be used as a tool to cause civil disobedient and unrest. They also do not allow unneccesary gatherings because "hoodlums" can quickly harjack it fueled by their international enemies.

We have been down this road before and it is unfortunate that we are threading same path and somehow expecting a different result. Old wounds are being reopened and it seems there is no end to this.

By the time people wake up from these destruction, the damage would have been extensive. Even those cheering it right now will reealize they could have explored other options at the end of the day.
