I do not know that such an unholy mix of panels in parallel is kosher but you will affirm it works for you so I guess that ends the matter.

380w in 7s config + 280w in 9s config running together in parallel - I am fairly sure that is not the operating mode the panel manufacturers and high VoC designer had in mind

Hehehe.... well when there is a situation one has to make do.... getting the cumulative Voc of each string to be close to one another was the major task and 7s9s formation was the best work around.

So I was wondering how you configured your 7 pieces prime panels.

Your system is 48v
The Risen is 390w in 2s, Sunfit 290w in 3s, I guess (stand to be corrected though).

How does the the odd number 7 pieces 380w work out?

NB. I'm trying to use this to work out some possible new upgrades.

My CC allows for 2 mppt input so here is what it looks like:

Mppt1 390w X 8 of Risen all in series
Mpp2 380w X 7 is also all in series and then it runs in parallel with 280w X 9 sunfit which is all in series as well.

I could only achieve the above because it's a high Voc CC that I use.... You will need to check your cc max Voc to plan

Thank you so much for your guidance on the Node-Red Configuration. You are really a nice gentleman. You have really saved me time and energy and made it simple for me. My critical appliances are now turned off at the configured threshold thereby protecting my battery. In addition, i can now throw more things at it when the sun is really shinning. Solar Energy is the best.

I use LiFePo4.

I'd rather use x1.5 if I want to use a factor but for peace of mind I use the same size.

It's not advisable draining LiFePo4 to 0% regularly (sometimes you drain your phone/laptop and it doesn't come on anymore)

Rule of Thumb for Lithium to last long is Charging[b] to 80%[/b] and draining to 20% (usable 60%) which is a bit more than the ideal usable 50% of Lead Acid.

90 to 10% or 100 to 20% is much more like it. The lower boundary is more critical than the upper boundary. If you are doing 80% on LFP, an equivalent of LA won't be 50% but rather 30% DOD

What extra features does powmr have over felicity. I'm interested. The only downside since I use felicity is it takes time switching back to bulk from float {literally 0 watts reading for about 7 secs} which sometimes causes my low voltage disconnect to kick in. Also the charging parameters takes time to get it right because of the constant time setting for absorption which can over charge or under charge your batteries

You will notice i didn't add anything to features what I meant is that Felicity provides no better feature over powmr. However if ruggedness is a feature I think powmr may be more rugged that Felicity.....a friend that I got powmr for in the past has made a few connection blunders that threw up fireworks yet the CC is still operational till date. I doubt the Felicity will withstand that...but ofcourse I should note that I have not used the Felicity CC but the hybrid

Any reason why? I have a 120A Felicity CC and I love it.

Felicity works fine but when it comes to price(powmr wins), performance(same but I tend to think powmr is more rugged) and features I will do powmr.
