Thank you so much for your guidance on the Node-Red Configuration. You are really a nice gentleman. You have really saved me time and energy and made it simple for me. My critical appliances are now turned off at the configured threshold thereby protecting my battery. In addition, i can now throw more things at it when the sun is really shinning. Solar Energy is the best.

I use LiFePo4.

I'd rather use x1.5 if I want to use a factor but for peace of mind I use the same size.

It's not advisable draining LiFePo4 to 0% regularly (sometimes you drain your phone/laptop and it doesn't come on anymore)

Rule of Thumb for Lithium to last long is Charging[b] to 80%[/b] and draining to 20% (usable 60%) which is a bit more than the ideal usable 50% of Lead Acid.

90 to 10% or 100 to 20% is much more like it. The lower boundary is more critical than the upper boundary. If you are doing 80% on LFP, an equivalent of LA won't be 50% but rather 30% DOD

What extra features does powmr have over felicity. I'm interested. The only downside since I use felicity is it takes time switching back to bulk from float {literally 0 watts reading for about 7 secs} which sometimes causes my low voltage disconnect to kick in. Also the charging parameters takes time to get it right because of the constant time setting for absorption which can over charge or under charge your batteries

You will notice i didn't add anything to features what I meant is that Felicity provides no better feature over powmr. However if ruggedness is a feature I think powmr may be more rugged that Felicity.....a friend that I got powmr for in the past has made a few connection blunders that threw up fireworks yet the CC is still operational till date. I doubt the Felicity will withstand that...but ofcourse I should note that I have not used the Felicity CC but the hybrid

Felicity works fine but when it comes to price(powmr wins), performance(same but I tend to think powmr is more rugged) and features I will do powmr.

Does this mean that if for example, the number of Cycles (amount of time it can be recharged, after complete draining?) of a LiPo4 is say 5000 and a used / second Life one has been cycled say 3000 times in its first application at 20%, it will stiill function/perform same, as a battery of Cells Cycled, say just 1000 times?
Does this previous usage have any impact on the longevity (how long it lasts, before it packs up) of the battery in its new application, all things being equal?

Please, kindly explain what "initial cycle round" and "first cycle round" menas, so l dont mix things up the more.

Discharge and charge makes a cycle. If a cell is rated 5k cycle, it means that the 100% capacity will be available through that cycle periods, after the 5kcycle the cell will have 80% capacity left and that can go for some more cycles. So if you are able to pull close to a cell capacity then you know it's still in its first cycle life

So, without the 'deception' of semantics, these "Second Life" Lithium batteries are USED, Second-Hand Batteries. Full Stop.

Now, if that is the case, my questions are: How do you guarantee or confirm the amount of Cycles left inside it, bearing in mind that the only reason we go for LiPo4 Cell batteries are because of its reputed 5000+ Cycles?

How do you TEST, that a Buyer is not being given a Used, second-life Cells, for the price of a New Ones, if a buyer requires New, grade A battery Cells.

It could well be that such Cells in a battery are closer to their "End of Life", than a "Second Life", without the new owner being aware, yet having paid top money for them!

I know you are a seller and l should not be asking you a question like that but l have the feeling you are a honest person and will always speak the truth.

Cycle life is one thing, the performance one of the major other reason and remember that typical lifepo4 will still have 80% capacity after it's first cycle round. I have no comment on that particular second Life cells as it all depends on the usage of the initial user.... Some may still be in their initial cycle round sold as used. I have sold my used lifepo4 battery bank before with just about 200 to 300 cycles.

Yes it is though it will be at 48v for actual load. The 52.7v you see on the image is the battery voltage when the screenshot was taken(inverter was discharging at 26+A at that time)
