Idiko1: In my previous post, I respectfully submitted you are not qualified to partake in this discussion. When did Ndigbo constitute security agency?
That I am not qualified to partake in this discussion is your opinion and its very wrong one and you know it if not you won't be in my mention. 98% of ESN victims are Igbos whether they are security agents or civilians.
Idiko1: This is the same stream of thought which had Nigeria behind the curve of growth. Actions attract reactions which are equal and opposite. The use of 82nd Division in the above post shows you are not qualified for this discussion.
So ESN killing innocent Igbos is the answer to whatever your grievances maybe? Channel your anger to the right places.Nnamdi Kanu is not held in DSS cage by Igbos.
flokii: Iyaloja or babaloja position is not political but a symbol of tradition in Yorubaland and only Yoruba descendants SHOULD occupy such posts.
God bless Nigeria.
There are thousands of markets scattered in Yoruba land so it makes sense if Igbos are appointed leaders in the few markets they dominate so far as they pay taxes to the authorities. Is like Igbo market master taking it upon himself to appoint an Igboman the leader of a cattle market dominated by the Hausas because it is located in Igboland.Iyaloja is a wise woman.God bless Nigeria jare!
flokii: Of course they sent them packing under the pretext of expanding and opening warehouses in Ladipo market area.. we've seen countless videos where Yoruba traders in Ladipo were lamenting about Igbo arrogance and insult on them, claiming they can chase the Yorubas away and buy up the whole place. The mechanics and other artisans there pleaded with Yoruba leaders not to sit and watch them lose their means of livelihood on their father's land because of politics and political correctness.
The positions of Iyaloja and babaloja are NOT political and are not meant to be used for political purposes. Tinubu-Ojo goofed big time on this one and the royal stools in Yorubaland aren't happy with her.
We are one people one nation,we have to stop this tribal nonsense and discrimination.God bless Nigeria!
johnmartus: Sadly southeast vote can't make someone president.
Could Northwest vote alone make Buhari president in 3 attempts? Could Southwest votes alone make Awo president in 3 attempts? Could Southwest votes make make Olu Falae president? No one region in Nigeria can make a president.
Let me remind this Ngwaman that there is nothing like Old Bende and Old Aba division in today's political equation in Abia state. What we have is 3 senatorial zones which is constitutional and there is existing agreement for power to rotate among the 3 senatorial zones. Talking about Old Aba and Old Bende is a waste of time.
If you stop your own nonsense yarnings and stop throwing jabs at Abia state cos of our prodigal son we will be cool.
Btw,Nigeria does not execute repentant criminals like Uwazuruike they are given amnesty.LOL They should screw MNK for turning his boys into modern day cannibals.
When we tell nairaland ipobs that Biafra agitation is a scam format use to scam gullible Igbos they will call you names. FG should use Nnamdi Kanu as scapegoat so that future generations will not fall victims to fraudsters like MNk and Ralph Uwazurike.
Penguin2: On or around 13th November, 2020, the governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, stood history on its head in his interview with Ovation Magazine Publisher, Dele Momodu, when he told the world that he is not Igbo.
Before that infamous interview, Wike had sent a dispatch of military troops to Obigbo to wreak havoc and cause both economic, physical and psychological trauma to residents of that area.
It was in defense of the atrocities committed by the military at Obigbo and his role therewith, that Wike granted the infamous interview and argued that no one should accuse him of killing his fellow Igbos since he was not Igbo himself.
Prior to military invasion of Obigbo and the statement, Wike had found his greatest political support base among the Igbos.
Ndigbo was rallied around Wike because they saw him as one of theirs until he chose to stand logic and history on its head.
But don’t we all know why he did it?
Wike had thought that denying Igbos would ingratiate him to the north and increase his political capital but that didn’t happen.
If anything, VAT war and demolition of mosque has further damaged his reputation up north.
Now, as the 2023 elections draw closer, Wike has been running from Pillar to post shouting with his coarse voice, how things should be in PDP but we all know he wants the PDP ticket.
But the question is, who will vote for him?
Ndigbo will not vote for him. But wouldn’t have minded him taking our slot in 2023 if he had not made that foolish statement.
The north will not vote for him.
Yoruba are queuing behind Tinubu or Osinbajo or whichever Yoruba.
That restricts Wike’s only hope of votes or delegates to Ikwerre or maybe the entire Rivers if they so love him. But that’s even during primaries because in the main elections, Ikwerre and Rivers vote will be shared between him and Amaechi; especially if Amaechi gets APC ticket.
So, there you have it. We said it then that Wike dug his political grave by that statement but some section of the country urged him, now the chicken has come home to roost.
Wike has dugged his political grave because he was visionary enough in dealing with IPOB terrorism which was still in infant stage then. If SE leaders were as proactive as Wike we won't be having sit to home and other atrocities happening today in Igboland. Forget Wike's political career and focus on SE leaders.
Ban Fulani cattle and watch a kilo of beef sale for 10k and 20k for one chicken within a week in Igboland while the abroad based criminals that imposed the ban enjoy themselves all over the world while our people dies of poor nultrition.
amsad19: My problem with you guys is hypocrisy, same Igbo people are chasing our people out of their territory because they're Fulani yet you clap for them for chasing non indigenes out of your state, yet an Igbo man have the right to buy a house in a fulani community.
Sharap abeg....Boko haram was bombing Igbo churches and targeting Igbo business nobody blame the whole Kanuri/Fulani/Hausa ethnic groups but you want to blame Igbo nation for the actions of banned group like IPOB.Unlike you I never supported the lawless activities of IPOB and my posts in this platform testifies to that so you are the hypocrite here.
GenBuhari: I don't think you are old enough to have witnessed the war. We who endured the war know the reasons we declared independence and that those reasons were valid. That is all that matters . Hindsight is a luxury that nobody has. I 100% support how Ojukwu handled matters during the whole crisis and I assure you you would find almost no Igbo that lived through that era that would fault Ojukwu. There were far more of us in other regions than the other regions had in Igboland, we would have lost more the tit for tat killings. Igbos were still running home at the time of the declaration so the killings had reduced a lot as most Igbos by that time had made it home. Many had businesses homes and jobs they had abandoned so the urgency was also not just to stop the killing but to stop it's re-occurrence if Igbos were to return to their homes and businesses. Its easy say we made a mistake with benefit of hindsight. But nobody knows for sure whether our fate may not have been worse had we not taken a strong stance we did. What if the killer mobs had pursued us into our region? Trust me I suffered the war and I was one of those starving children with bloated bellies and if not because my mother was a trainee nurse, I probably would not have made it. So I truly understand why wars should be avoided. I maintain that without the benefit of hindsight Ojukwu cannot be faulted on his handling of the crisis.
You were only 3 years old when the war started . If we had gone for tit for tat we wouldn't have lost 3 million or more and they wouldn't have dare come into our region to kill people because that would have been suicidal for them.Majority supported the war but not everyone. Some adviced against it were called sabo just like today many of us are cautioning IPOB to thread with caution. If Ojukwu cannot be faulted he wouldn't have accepted or lobbied for amnesty from the government he fought against for conditional pardon. Why would you go into a war you know you have no weapon no food no international support nor matter the provocation. He should have resigned after the collapse of Aburi accord and allow Ukpabi Asika take over as appointed by Gowon. That would have ended the whole crisis.
Fbisshit: You don't still get it, do you? Let's assume Nigeria remains an indivisible entity as they so cherish, why would they hate thesame people they have sworn to live with..
Are people from same village not hating each other? Secessionist will now see this as a reason for secession.
