I totally agree. I have banned a particular cartoon in my home permanently. It's call Vamparina. The lead act is a vampire girl. Her bed is shaped like coffin. Her snacks is made of human flesh. A lot of others in the cartoon that just isn't right at all.

But it's practically impossible to stop them from watching cartoons. We are doomed.

not all cartoons are for kids, one needs to know what their kids are exposed to so we don't end up blaming the devil

There's another one brownish in color that one is commonly seen (Emo) and not as big as this one (Okete) I might not know their English names but I can differentiate them.. It might not stop him from cheating but it will build up your self esteem and confidence so much that you'll see you're not the problem.

I'm faced with similar experience, rude, unapologetic, ungrateful. I care about her a great deal but I had to quit. Follow your brain not your heart, it's not easy I know but you'll be fine. It's hard for you to find a girl and be in a relationship I'm guessing but don't let that thought make you act less of what you are. Like I said I am faced with similar situation and equally following my own advice here
