Politics / Re: State Of The Nation: Everyone Benefited From Corruption – Bolaji Akinyemi by Okimski(m): 6:26am On Nov 19, 2016
Most people won't understand it this way, everybody is looking at only the top politicians for corrupt Cases. What about things we do individually? Search your mind and let the CHANGE BIGIN WITH YOU or we will be doom for ever.
Politics / State Of The Nation: Everyone Benefited From Corruption – Bolaji Akinyemi by Okimski(m): 4:53am On Nov 19, 2016
A FORMER Minister of External Affairs, Prof Bolaji Akinyemi has said that the current hardship in Nigeria was birthed by the wrong application of resources by Nigerians, noting that everyone benefited from the circle of systemic corruption in the country.
He also cautioned that the failure to acknowledge that the hardship was collectively caused would ensure that similar mistakes were repeated when the nation eventually survives recession.
Speaking on the topic, Nigerian Exceptionalism: Nigerian Quest for World Leadership at the 2016 convocation lecture of the University of Ibadan, he assessed the state of the nation against the backdrop of prevailing economic crisis and concluded that everyone was culpable.
His words: “A major factor responsible for our present state is not lack of resources but a scandalous application of resources, not by government alone but by Nigerians. How can you describe as poor a country which spent a total of N1.18 trillion on the importation of toothpick, fish, milk, textiles, rice, and furniture between 2014 and May 2015?
‘’ Let me make one thing absolutely clear. I accept that there is a lot of suffering in the land. I am not denying that there is a lot of poverty now and that we are in a recession. But I am also claiming that we bear our share of responsibility for this financial peculiar mess.
It is not government alone that is responsible for N62.8b of imported French fries rather than the potatoes produced in the Middle Belt, the $6m daily of imported rice while 800,000 tons of rice go unbought in Kebbi, the N7.2b spent on imported toothpick and billions of naira spent on Brazilian, Japanese and Indian hair pieces. Was it the government that was travelling and bringing in goods from China, Dubai, and Italy among others?
“Another issue is the proposition that corruption has had a negative effect on Nigerian exceptionalism. The latest figures on corruption are quite illuminating. We are not even the most corrupt country in the world. China leads the world over a 10-year period which was from 2004 -2013 with US$139 trillion in illicit outflows, followed by Russia, Mexico, India, and Malaysia with Nigeria at number 10.
China also had the largest illicit outflows of any country in 2013, amounting to a staggering US$258.64 billion in just that year.
‘’ Here is a message on social media that aptly summarises the culpability of all of us and is titled: State of the Nation. I have been following closely the activities of this government and whenever I have the opportunity, I try to find out the opinions of people as regards the performance of this government. I just realized that the hardship faced by many Nigerians is simply as a result of the fact that almost every one of us benefited from the cycle of corruption.
”The bricklayer, plumber, laborers and tiller are all complaining because building construction has slowed down massively because the thieves no longer have money to spend on real estate. The car dealers are grumbling because their cars are begging for buyers. Thieves can no longer spend wastefully. The private school owners are shouting because parents can no longer pay outrageous sums and are withdrawing their wards. The fact is, we have been living above our means. We have been staying in houses that ordinarily our incomes can’t afford. Our children are going to schools we can’t afford.
Now the reality is before us and we don’t want to accept it. This shows how morally bankrupt we are. You can’t eat your cake and have it.
”You got billions from bank without collateral using your political influence. You put half into your business and spent the other half on exotic cars, jewelries among others. Your business employs 100 people normally.
You got illegal waivers and concessions to import raw materials at rock bottom prices and you got over-inflated contract to supply some goods your company produce. In short your company is kept afloat by corruption. Now the new Sheriff in town says: no more ridiculous waivers, no more inflated contracts, no more bank loans without collateral, in fact its time you or your company pay off the billions of debt owed.
”Corruption is relevant in the misapplication of resources which undermines the corpus of resources available for development. If we do not understand all these issues, as soon as we start to come out of recession, we will make the same mistakes all over again as we did with the recession of the 1980s.”

Sports / Ghanaian Juju Man Revealed The Reasons Behind Jose Mourinho ’s Miseries by Okimski(m): 6:39pm On Nov 02, 2016
A Ghanaian juju man Nana Kwaku Bonsam has said Manchester United’ s woes will continue as far as Jose Mourinho remains in charge .
Nana Kwaku Bonsam told Kasapa FM that Manchester United will continue to suffer if the Portuguese fails to apologize to former Chelsea doctor Eva Carneiro as she possesses a devilish spirit .
He said :
“ Jose Mourinho is very recalcitrant person I have made this statement and will still repeat again if he doesn ’t apologize to Eva Carneiro ( the former Team Doctor for Chelsea) he will never succeed in any club he will join, ” he predicted. She ( Eva Carneiro) possess a devilish Spirit which is causing all these miseries at United and this has even affected the performance of key players like World record signing Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and among others .”
Due to the affection I (Nana Kwaku Bonsam ) have for Manchester United I would like to call on the fans and authorities of the club to mount pressure on Mourinho to render an unqualified apology to Carneiro immediately if he Mourinho wants to bring United back to their winning ways and protect his job …… Trust me that will be the only solution or else even if they buy Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo the club will still perform poorly and this will be the worst performance in the history of the club .

Politics / Orbih Alleges Complicity By Inec, Security Agents, In Edo Election ON by Okimski(m): 5:20am On Oct 18, 2016
BENIN—CHAIRMAN of Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Dan Orbih, has said that Nigerians would be surprised at the level of complicity and involvement of officials of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in the just concluded governorship election in the state in their determination to subvert the will of the people.
On the recent clamp down on the judiciary, he said that since the nation was governed by law, due process ought to have been followed if there was any reason to arrest any judge.
He described as “crude,” the method used by the security agencies in arresting the judges, over alleged corrupt practices.
Orbih, who fielded questions from journalists in Benin, yesterday, said that the world would be disappointed at the intrigues the commission used to steal the peoples mandate to the PDP and its governorship candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize- Iyamu.
Expressing the party’s optimism of getting justice at the tribunal and reclaiming the mandate given to it by Edo people, Orbih disclosed that the party had already engaged some of the best legal brains to represent it, adding that the alleged manipulation of results of the election by INEC, the state government and security agencies would be exposed to the world.
He said: “We, and indeed Nigerians, know that the governorship election was won by the PDP. We have evidence to back this. We are not just laying claims that we won the election. PDP did not lose the election. It will be appropriate to say that INEC allocated votes to All Progressives Congress, APC and declared them winner of the election.
“We have already stated our position even before they declared the results. We rejected the drama that played out at the INEC headquarters in Edo and stated clearly quite early that the outcome of that exercise was not acceptable to our party and Edo people.”

when Christ was born. . . dey didn't have the Gregorian calender. But it was recored that he was born during the Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights, is celebrated for eight days, commencing on the 25th day of the month of Kislev (November/December), to commemorate the victory of the Jews over the Hellenist Syrians in 165 BCE.
BIBLE ACCOUNT
In those days there were appointed 24 Jewish priests, the sons of Aaron, to serve in the temple in a year. Everyone officiated according to the order of his course or turn - two every month. The first priest served from the beginning of the first month called Nisan or Abib and retired at the middle of the month; and the second took over from the middle to the end of the month. The priest Abijah served in the eighth course according to 1 Chronicles 24: 1-10. The eighth course started from the middle to the end of the fourth month known as Tammuz, which, according to the Jewish Calendar, corresponds with the latter part of our June to early July. (Vide The Oxford Encyclopedic Concordance, page 197, and The Universal Bible Dictionary by Buckland & Williams, page 475.)
Zacharias, the father of John the Baptist, was a successor of Abijah. It was when he was officiating in the temple in the order of his turn - "the course of Abijah" - that an angel of God appeared to him saying that his wife, Elizabeth, would bear him a son to be named John. (Luke 1: 5-13) After the completion of Zacharias' period of duty in early July (Tammuz), his wife became pregnant, and she hid herself for five months. - Luke 1: 23, 24.
In the sixth month of Elizabeth's conception - Chisleu, which is our December - the angel Gabriel was sent by God to the virgin Mary and he announced to her that she would conceive and bear a son to be called Jesus. The angel added: “And behold, thy cousin, Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. For with God nothing shall be impossible." - Luke 1: 26-31,36,37.
Consequent upon the annunciation Mary, no doubt, was in high spirits. With haste she went straight to a city in the uplands of Judah to meet Elizabeth. She stayed with her cousin about three months (i.e. from January to March) and then returned home. (Luke 1: 39-40, 56) Something dramatic occurred when Mary visited Elizabeth. As soon as she entered Zacharias' house and greeted Elizabeth, the babe (John) stirred in her womb. The words of Elizabeth to Mary at that instance, which were motivated by the Holy Spirit, show clearly that Mary herself was already pregnant. Not only did Elizabeth bless the fruit of her womb but she went on to address her out right as "the mother of my Lord". - Luke 1: 41-44.
According to medical authorities the span of foetal life under normal condition is 280 days, which is nine months; any time in the tenth month the child, by God's grace, can be born. This was the case with John the Baptist. The angel appeared to Mary in the sixth month of Elizabeth's conception and Mary went to her and stayed three months: six plus three equal nine. It was then "Elisabeth's full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son" - obviously, in the tenth month, April. - Luke 1: 36,56-57.
Having been equipped with this knowledge, let us now count Mary's conception from that January as was manifest in Elizabeth's declaration, we will arrive at September as the ninth month; then in the tenth month OCTOBER, Jesus Christ was born. But on which day in October his birth took place no one can tell because there is no record. We of the GKS say only what we can prove.
With regard to the year of Christ's birth, historians disagree with one another. Some hold to B.C. 2 or B. C. 4, and others suggest B.C. 6. We are no historians, and so we do not wish to be entangled in their disagreements. But from a scrutiny of historical records B.C. 2 is more acceptable to many.
PHYSICAL FACTS
The physical features of Palestine in regard to the climate lend support to the view that Christ was not born in December. According to the Gospel story, there were shepherds attending their flocks in the open fields by night when Christ was born. This could not have been possible in December, because all accredited authorities agree that December, which corresponds with the Jewish ninth month, Chisleu, (Zechariah 7: 1) was usually a time of winter in Palestine when the people could not stay outside in the night owing to the intense cold. The Oxford Encyclopedic Concordance states that there: was "snow on the mountains".
But October is the Jewish seventh month called Tisri or Ethanim. (1 Kings 8: 2) It was a time of normal weather that permitted of outdoor or outside activities. Again, the fact that the churches of Christendom observe the death of Jesus Christ ("Good Friday" in April, confirms that his birth could not have taken place in December. Of a truth, he was killed in April, which is Nisan or Abib, the first month of the Jewish year, when the Feast of Passover or Unleavened Bread was celebrated.
We all agree that Jesus Christ lived for 33 1/2 years. Now let us admit that he was born in December as the churches teach, it will mean, therefore, that his 33rd birthday anniversary fell on December, and six months later, which was June, he died. If it was so, why then are the churches celebrating his death in April and not in June? The plain truth is that he was born in October. His 33rd birthday then fell on October, and six months later, that is, in April, he was slain.

A true Christian does not do a thing simply because the whole world or majority esteem it highly and do it. Before he does anything, he must first of all satisfy himself that it is in accord with the will of God as revealed in the Holy Scripture. Christ himself said: “…For that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.” - Luke 16: 15.
After a diligent research into both sacred and profane history, we have no doubt in our minds that Jesus Christ was born in the month of October, and NOT in December!

WAS JESUS CHRIST BORN ON CHRISTMAS DAY?
THE date of the birth of Jesus would not have been a subject of controversy if the churches of Christendom had been consistent in telling their adherents the truth of the matter. That Christmas is a pagan festival with an unseemly Christian veneer or covering is a glaring fact of the Scripture and history.
In The Explanatory Catechism of Christian Doctrine, it is stated in answer to Questions 50 and 51, that our Saviour Jesus Christ was born at Bethlehem on Christmas Day, the 25th of December. But how the churches came about this date, no one cares to ask. The erroneous belief that the priests and catechists cannot lie makes the churchgoers accept this teaching with quiet contentment. The people therefore go all out to celebrate Christmas NOT out of a scripturally grounded faith but because they so were bred.

If it was so, why then are the churches celebrating his death in April and not in June? The plain truth is that he was born in October. His 33rd birthday then fell on October, and six months later, that is, in April, he was slain.
HISTORICAL FACTS
There is no authentic history in existence that gives support to the teaching that Jesus Christ was born in December. We challenge anyone who may argue this to cite a SINGLE authority to the contrary to prove us wrong. There was no such festival as Christmas until the fourth century, and it was the Romish Church in its characteristic tendency of "meeting Paganism half-way", that just fixed on December 25 as Christ’s birthday. We shall dwell on this point later on in this sermon.
Earl W. Count, in his book, 4000 Years of Christmas, stated that "December twentyfifth is no more the historical date of His (Christ's) birth than is any other". He added: "The Christians chose it to be His birthday only several centuries after he had lived and died." (Page 34).
We cannot do without making reference to the evidence of the well-known ecclesiastical historian, Alexander Hislop. In his distinguished work, The Two Babylons, he wrote: "There is not a word in the Scriptures about the precise day of His (Christ's) birth…What is recorded there, implies that at what time soever His birth took place, it could not have been on the 25th of December… The cold of the night, from December to February, is very piercing, and it was not the custom for the shepherds of Judea to watch their flocks in the open fields later than about the end of October. It is in the last degree incredible, then, that the birth of Christ could have taken place at the end of December." (Pages 91-92, emphasis ours)
On this point there is great unanimity among commentators who include Barnes, Doddridge, Lightfoot, Joseph Scaliger, Joseph Mede, and Jennings, in his Jewish Antiquities. After a comprehensive disquisition on the subject, among other argument, Joseph Mede adduced the following: "At the birth of Christ every woman and child was to go to be taxed at the city whereto they belonged, whither some had long journeys; but the middle of winter was not fitting for such a business especially for women with child, and children to travel in. Therefore, Christ could not be born in the depth of winter..."(MEDE'S Works, 1672).
Hislop also quoted Gill as stating in his Commentary on Luke 2: 8 thus: "The first rain falls in the month Marchesvan, which answers to the latter part of our October and the former part of November...From whence it appears that Christ must be born before the middle of October, since the first rain was not yet come." (The Two Babylons, pages 91-92).
"No date is more unlikely for the birth of Christ than the twenty-fifth of December; but it was the birthday of Mithra..." This was stated by E. E. Kellett in his A Short History of Religions. And Professor Cecil John Cadoux, M.A., D.D., D.Litt. Professor" of Church History at Mansfield College, in his book The Life of Jesus, wrote: "There are no grounds for thinking that He (Jesus) was born in December."
Furthermore, the Illustrated World Encyclopedia has this to say: "Our calendar, by which we reckon the days, months, and years, is dated from the first year after the birth of Jesus. We call this the Christian Era. But as we study and read, we will learn that Jesus was not really born on the 25th of December…” (Vol. 5, page 1194).
ROMAN CATHOLIC CONFESSION
It is heartening to note that at long last both the Roman Catholic and Protestant Churches of Christendom have openly admitted that Jesus Christ was not actually born on the 25th of December. It can be recalled that for this veracious view on which the God's Kingdom Society took her stand since her inception, he has been subjected to persecutions of one sort or another.
Concerning the date of Christ's birth, The Catholic Voice of December 1956, has the following to say: “The 25th. Dec., the present feast of Christmas has a longstanding tradition, but it is likely that in the beginning it was simply fixed on one of the great public holidays of the civil year and probably one that was originally a pagan feast"! (Page 179-180, emphasis ours).
In answer to a question as to how the Roman Catholics managed to know from Holy Scripture that Jesus was born on December 25th, The Catholic Voice, issue of July 1962, states: “The Gospels do not mention any date for the birth of Christ. We do not know the date of Christ's birth, not even the year in which He was born," (Emphasis ours) But may we pause to ask: If they do not know the date of Christ's birth, why do they categorically and dogmatically state in the Catechism and other books that Jesus Christ was born on December 25? Is this not inconsistency? The Catholic Voice continues, "We celebrate the feast of Christ's birth on the 25th of December, at least in the Western Church. The Eastern Catholic Church celebrates the same feast on the 6th of January. These dates are not based on historical evidence of the exact date of Christ’s birth…" (Emphasis ours)
PROTESTANT ADMISSION
The following piece extracted from "A Christmas Sermon" by a Protestant Pastor, which was published in the African Challenge of December 1959, speaks for itself: .. Was Jesus born on December 25? In fairness to the critics who ask this question, it must be admitted that although we know the year" (unlike the Roman Catholics that do not know the year) "the exact day of the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ is not known...Long before Christ was born, December 25 had been the time for a noisy pagan festival in honour of the god of the sun, In time, however, the Church substituted Christmas for the old pagan festival with the view of turning the minds of the heathen to the true living God"
The reason of the Church for changing the date of Christ's birth, as given by the Pastor, is flimsy. It is not by changing the birthday of Christ to that day of a pagan carnival that would win people to Christ. Rather it would lead to more ungodliness, and that is why up till today Christmas is still; defaced with pagan marks.
CHRISTMAS IS PAGANISM
"That Christmas was originally a Pagan festival is beyond all doubt," stated Alexander Hislop. "The time of the year, and the ceremonies with which it is still celebrated, prove its origin," he added. (The Two Babylons, page 93) Concerning Christmas, E. E. Kellett wrote: "No one can doubt that it has many pagan characters; and indeed this is why it was totally rejected by some Dissenting Churches." (A Short History of Religions).
The GKS has always held that there is nothing in the celebration of Christmas that reflects the teaching or character of Jesus Christ, or portrays the glory of God. The "Christmas Editorial" of the African Challenge of December 1959, vindicates our view. It states in part: "Christ, the matchless Saviour of mankind, would undoubtedly be grieved by the way the world celebrates His traditional birthday. The world as well as those who are Christians by name celebrate Christmas with great jubilation at the expense of worship…The Christmas season is increasingly becoming a time for most business people to make more money. The most profitable season of the year for nearly all shops is the Christmas season, when the public is enticed: 'Do your Christmas shopping early!' Another thing that robs us of the meaning of Christmas is traditionalism... Do not some even join pagan customs with their Christmas celebrations?" Please let people ponder these things and stop deceiving themselves.
If there is any season when the Police at most have a restless time in the year, it is the Christmas season. If there is any period when more cases of crimes, accidents and deaths are reported in the year, it is the same notorious Christmas season.
The acts of lawlessness and hooliganism that always characterize its celebration are but sure proofs that it is an unchristian affair. It is a time when people eat and drink in excess. Some disfigure themselves with all sorts of masks, carry about dreadful images and others paint their faces and run amok like crazy people to do havoc and disturb the peace of responsible people. How can the Christian mind imagine that all these abominations are done to honour the Son of God, Jesus Christ the Righteous who is the Prince of Peace? It is unthinkable!
This sermon does not warn you against celebrating the birthday of Christ at the spiritually appropriate time and in a Christian manner to the glory of God. St. Paul advised that God should be served in the way acceptable to Him. - Hebrews 12: 28.
The vanity of Christmas has been exposed enough. History condemns it. The Holy Bible, which is the law book and guide for all true Christians, does not justify it. A word is enough for the wise. And Christ says, "He that hath ears to hear, let him hear."

The Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Aisha Jummai Alhassan, has denied reports that she slumped during her two-day visit to the Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, camp at Fulfure Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

It would be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari had instructed the Minister of Women Affairs to investigate allegations of human rights abuses in the IDP camps located in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states respectively.

Speaking through the Ministry’s Deputy Director of Press, Mallam Hassan Dodo, the Minister said she had gone to visit the IDP camp as instructed by the President to ensure that they were well catered for, and also to inspect the stores where the Federal Government bought provisions for the needs of the IDPs.

She added that it was paramount to ensure that the items were not diverted, saying “when I went into the stores to inspect the items, it was quite stuffy and I had to sit down.

‘’I even spoke to some press men after the inspection, I’m shocked that the media is saying I slumped.”

She said after the visit, she went to Government House to hold a town hall meeting with some women before finally leaving the state.

“I don’t know why the media will report something so false,’’ the minister said.

Some national dailies had reported that the women affairs minister slumped, adding “that barely a few minutes after walking with the aid of crutches into the hall, Alhassan who recently had an operation for an undisclosed ailment slumped”.

The report added that she was immediately assisted by her aides who got a chair and started fanning her.

Politics / Why I Will Not Serve In Buhari’s Govt – Okonjo-iweala by Okimski(m): 6:25am On Sep 13, 2016
By Charles Kumolu
LAGOS—FORMER Finance Minister, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala yesterday said it was better to allow those managing Nigeria’s economy to do the best they could, noting that there could be solutions to the present economic decline in the country.
She also noted that she would not be available to serve the present administration if overtures were made to her by President Muhammadu Buhari, noting that Nigeria boasts of competent people, who would offer their services when called upon.
Okonjo-Iweala, who said this while participating in an Aljazeera programme: The Stream, regretted that the economic gains recorded in Africa started eroding a few years ago, noting that solving macroeconomic question was key to fixing the continent’s economic challenges.
She specifically said that having a firm control over the rate of inflation in addition to ensuring a stable exchange rate should be prioritised by African governments.
She said: ‘’ One of the things you learn as you get wiser is to talk less as you grow older. I have spent my time contributing to the country. It will be better to live those managing the economy to do what they know how to do. There can be solutions.
“I am not a typical politician. I went in as a technocrat. I think on the continent we have seen a period when the economy was doing well, in the last two years we have been experiencing challenges. We need to focus on the basics which are macro-economics. You must get the fundamentals like having a stable exchange rate and having inflation under control.
“I served my country for seven years and it was a great honour. The second time was very tough but it is still an honour. I am not the only person who is a repository of knowledge. There are other people who can equally try their hands in running the economy.
“I will advise young people not to wait for employment. They should create jobs to employ six people or more. During my time in government, we had a programme called You Win designed to support young entrepreneurs. The whole idea was to have a business plan competition.
“The idea was that they should create jobs. And each, created 9-10 jobs. The World Bank did an evaluation of it and found it good. I do believe that the government should come in. We started a peer to peer mentoring. Now, one of the things I want to say is that creating employment is not only about struggles, it is about managing success.”
Also, counseling people on accounting, bookkeeping and not falling apart is very important.”
Responding to a question on how the anti-corruption war was fought during her time in government, she said: “It was a very tough fight, I must thank my team, you don’t do it alone, I had the support of an economic team in the Ministry of Finance. It was tough because at the end of the day you need to have some principles.”
On her roles as a Finance Minister, Okonjo-Iweala said: ‘’The average life span of a Finance Minister is two year in a country. No one likes a Finance Minister because it is the business of saying no. It is very difficult and challenging. It was interesting for me. I wish I had seen myself as wielding power. All I saw was the job because I was seeing myself working for the country

Politics / Re: FG To Pay Niger Delta Militants Directly Through Cbn by Okimski(m): 6:04am On Aug 03, 2016
It is a very good development. I live in the Niger Delta and I know that 80% of the ex militants don't get access to the monthly payment, it is paid directly to the commandants by the banks while their subordinate wallow in poverty and the unrest continues, so paying directly from the CBN means one thing 'THE END OF MILITANCY IS NEAR'

The Federal Government has resumed cash payments for former militants in the restive Niger Delta, an official said on Monday, in a bid to end a wave a wave of militant attacks on oil and gas facilities.
In February, Nigeria stopped the payments for former militants who agreed under a 2009 amnesty to stop blowing up crude pipelines in exchange for cash , the official said .
The government says it has been holding talks with militants they suspect of being behind a recent wave of attacks on pipelines that has reduced Nigeria’s crude output by 700 , 000 barrels a day .
“ Payments of stipends to the ex -militants resumed this Monday. The payments are done directly from the CBN ( Central Bank of Nigeria) to their bank accounts ,” said the amnesty programme’s media officer Piriye Kiyaramo .
“ The payment also includes tuition for those studying abroad ,” he said . “ Their last payment was in February this year. Now we are clearing all outstanding and the payments .”
Each of the former militant is entitled under the amnesty to N65 ,000 ( $ 203 . 44 ) monthly plus job training , reports Reuters .
But the government had originally planned to cut the amnesty by two- thirds and limit cash payments amid a budget crisis and graft.
The militants and residents who sympathize with them say they want a greater share of Nigeria’ s oil wealth to go to the impoverished region.
Crude sales make up about 70 per cent of government revenue and the attacks have deepened an economic crisis brought on by low global oil prices .
In June, government officials said a one-month ceasefire had been reached .
But Niger Delta Avengers, the group that has claimed responsibility for the majority of attacks dating back to January, said it had not agreed a truce.
Since then the group has said it would not take part in talks unless international mediators were involved.

Callmemike:
Now can you imagine a Minister opening his wide mouth to spew this rubbish? What do they take Nigerians for? So a prisoner spends an average of N4650 per meal? And our minimum wage is N18000. And this administration is not fantastically corrupt! This administration is very bold at spewing out figures, without correlating it with common sense and simple economics. That means that the prison must have a big menu for each prisoner;
Breakfast: 2 tins of peak milk, 4 eggs, 4 chicken laps, a bottle of wine, chocolate pudding for desert, 5 bottled water (Must be EVA).

Lunch; Garri/Fufu/semovita/tuwo/ (at the prisoner's liberty), one whole chicken, ice cream, juice.

Dinner; Pap,Fried plantain, 900g of Peak milk, Sharwarma/mutton/turkey(soft), wine, and bottled water.

Ps; Extra meal can be requested. Eating in between meals can also be arranged
Hahahahahaha. But why you come make the salivate na

How come this end up in the budget of charge while the prisoners hardly see one good square meal a day. Anyway, no different between PDP and APC budget sha.
Cc: Lalasticlala This government is fantastically corrupt!
