Crime / REVEALED: Full Names Of The 23 Nigerians On Death Row In Saudi Arabia by Okimski(m): 5:26pm On Apr 15, 2019 |
As things stand, at least 23 more Nigerians, according to TheNation, are destined to suffer Afolabi's fate, having been convicted for flouting the Narcotic and Psychotropic Substances Control Law, issued under Royal Decree No. M/39 dated 8/7/1428AH, which is punishable by death. has been so much public uproar condemning both the Nigerian and Saudi Arabian governments after the execution of a Nigerian woman, Kudirat Adeshola Afolabi, who was found guilty of drug trafficking. While Nigerians insisted Afolabi was only a victim of drug syndicate group at Nigerian airports, both governments maintained she was actually guilty of the crime. Following Afolabi's execution, it was revealed that another Nigerian, Saheed Sobade, was facing the prospect of death in Saudi Arabia after being nabbed with 1,183 grams of cocaine powder in Jeddah, a Saudi Arabian port city on the Red Sea and gateway for pilgrimages to the Islamic holy cities Mecca and Medina. The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Nigeria responded to widespread criticism of Afolabi's execution by insisting that all legal and judicial procedures were observed. "It is well-known for all those interested in travelling to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that the penalty for drug trafficking is the death sentence and the said sentence is applied on all persons convicted without any exceptions, as long as the evidence is established against them, and this is conveyed to every person prior to his trip to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," it said. They were arrested between 2016 and 2017 at the King Abdul-Aziz International Airport, Jeddah and Prince Muhammad bin Abdu- Aziz International Airport, Madinah. Romance / This Is The Number 1 Quality You Should Look For In A Man by Okimski(m): 5:38pm On Sep 26, 2018 |
What do you look for in a man? Every woman has a list of things she expects the man she’ll love to have and do. Some of these lists are written while some are not but there’s always a subconscious checklist women go through when they meet someone new. Some women expect their man to be Tall, Dark and Handsome while others expect him to be funny, well spoken and fashionable. There’s nothing wrong with all this, but they’re not the most important quality to look for in a man. Good looks and charm can feel great at the beginning of a relationship, but what happens when they wear off? What happens when you’ve read your man’s poetry and started to get familiar with his muscles? What then? That’s why the number one quality you should look for in a man is kindness. Kindness seems like such a simple thing. It’s underestimated and overlooked, but kindness is a major factor in making a relationship and even a marriage work. It takes a kind man to offer to drive you to work when it’s raining and all the streets are flooded. It takes kindness for a man to go out in the middle of the night and buy you something you are craving when you’re pregnant. Kindness is the most beautiful quality a man can have, because only a kind man can treat you like the queen you are without making you feel like he’s doing you a favour. Biceps are awesome and good looks are great, but sisters it’s time to look beyond them and focus on what really matters. Get yourself a kind man today. Your heart will thank you for it. http://www.zumi.ng/life/this-is-the-number-1-quality-you-should-look-for-in-a-man/amp/ 1 Share

Sports / German Side Awarded Penalty With Players Already In Dressing Room by Okimski(m): 1:43pm On Apr 17, 2018 |
A penalty was awarded after players had already left the pitch for half-time in Mainz's Bundesliga win over relegation rivals Freiburg on Monday. Referee Guido Winkmann called both sides back from the dressing room after consulting the video assistant referee (VAR) system and penalising Freiburg for handball. Mainz midfielder Pablo de Blasis scored the penalty to put the hosts 1-0 up. "It leaves a bitter taste," Freiburg sporting director Jochen Saier said. Speaking to Eurosport at half-time, he added that they had to "accept it with a heavy heart". "We were under the impression that when the referee blows for half-time that's it," said Saier. The second half was delayed by fans throwing toilet paper onto the pitch, which was not related to the penalty decision but instead a protest against Bundesliga fixtures being played on Monday nights. De Blasis scored a second on 78 minutes to secure victory, taking Mainz above Freiburg on goal difference and eight points clear of automatic relegation, while putting the visitors into the relegation play-off spot in 16th. Mainz initially had the penalty appeal turned down after right-back Daniel Brosinski's cross deflected off Freiburg centre-back Marc-Oliver Kempf's hand and was saved by keeper Alexander Schwolow. As the players departed the pitch, Winkmann was told to consult VAR and ran over to the other side of the pitch to watch the replay on a monitor. Winkmann overturned the decision and awarded the hosts a penalty before having to recall the entire Freiburg side and the handful of Mainz players who had left the pitch. Following a delay of over six minutes De Blasis scored the penalty in the bottom left corner and Winkmann blew again for half-time, during which the unfortunate Kempf was substituted. De Blasis added a lucky second as his shot rolled over the line after hitting the inside of the post, with Schwolow out of his goal having passed the ball straight to Mainz midfielder Robin Quaison. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/43791511 |

Romance / The Length Men Can Go For Sex. by Okimski(m): 5:07pm On Dec 13, 2017 |
SEX A man can travel for eight hours 'just to have sex with a female friend and yet, not love her. Sex makes men act as if they are in love. The eight hours travel sacrifice, gifts bought, hotel paid for and other expenses may seem to be coming from true love but they were all in the sacrifice for sex and nothing more. The foolish thing is this, majority of women would jump up inside them and conclude that this is art of true love. Sex is not an art of commitment. Men still leave the women they sleep with on bed and start thinking of the next woman to sleep with. The satisfaction that comes from sex dies in minutes. It is in the nature of Lions to go miles to hunt. The same with men. A man who can afford the expenses of flying from UK to Nigeria for sex would do it as if he would never turn to another woman for sex. Sex drives men to do what seems like the impossible and such turns women around and they start acting weird. Sex and love are not in the same page even in dictionary. People can abandon their gold mines and dig the grave for sex. Most young men do terrible things just to have the resources to keep many girls in their life. You may think they are working hard to live well in the future but they are just living for fun and that is all. Students are now living together like husbands and wives, and our society calls it love. What kind of people do these students become when they leave school? This is why we have a lot of frustrated graduates than nation building graduates. Today, a 16 year old girl is already into sex. She wants to wear everything on trend. She is already a prostitute in the sense that any man that comes her way for relationship must show some signs of money and she would respond to him. The funny thing is this, almost all those girls that have become sex symbols end up in deep mess. How many of them today is changing the world they are into? What kind of spirit would they do well with in life? They have sold their souls out to sex. They pride on what they wear and hotels they go to. That is their biggest achievement. The girls they called cowards are setting up economic empires. Their future is already exhausted when they come to their true senses? Advice to my beloved brothers and sisters: For men; never allow your erection today to destroy your future directions, stay positive. My sisters, all that glitters is not gold, make your future bright and its start today..............Written by Loveth Raphel

Former finance minister, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, says she is not interested in contesting running for president in 2019. Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala took to Facebook, Thursday, to post a disclaimer against a campaign on the social media site urging her to run for president in 2019, with the president of the African Development Bank, Akinwumi Adesina, as her running mate. The campaign has a Facebook page “Okonjo-Iweala/Adesina 2019 Rescue” dedicated to it, with more than 25,000 people liking the page so far. “I have nothing to do with this,” Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala said of the campaign, in her Facebook post. “I urge those behind it to stop, as I am focused on other things. “While I thank those who want to have my name constantly in the headlines for one important position or the other in the country, rest assured I am fully occupied with my international assignments and loving it,” she said. Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala, 62, served twice as Nigeria’s finance minister under former presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, and was credited with introducing reforms in the country’s financial sector especially during Mr. Obasanjo’s administration. She holds a PhD in regional economics and development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT, in United States, and has been listed among the Forbes Magazine’s 100 Most Powerful Women in the World http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/221846-okonjo-iweala-says-shes-not-running-president.html
