Everyone will die but we are being realistic here, the pain and the eventualities of them dieing is more painful, tormenting, expensive than a normal human being, they don't usually live till old age. It's just a mere probability if they do.

most sickle cell patients are lean not because they don't eat but because due to their SS genotype their bones don't naturally grow big ...

You saw only one sickle cell patient and you're using that to judge all other sickle carriers... that's very ignorant...

Bros I'm ignorant thanks but I know all of these things you are saying, I'm just being blunt and factual about what may become of most of them, I knew about others that were males that died, they weren't really falling sick but still died, one of my sister's friend also died while in labor, it's mostly one complications to the other. I don't want to be perceived as a negative person but the reality on ground is that they eventually die if you don't have the means to altar the effect since the drugs are very expensive.

Trust me, once SS wahala come, the stress can take the mother's life. Becoming broke is already a certainty coz the child will not be far away from expensive drugs..... Except if the mother is not the caring type ....

He died in SS3 while writing Jamb. I have known about 4 sickle cells friends or afar which they all died and they were boys.

I have a neighbor who made similar mistake, she believed she is getting old so had to have a child by any means, she got pregnant for a guy who is AS even when she's AS, she's running helter skelter even as we speak, we shouldn't allow selfishness cause us to bring kids into the world to suffer.

The kind of pain they feel isn't even a psychological pain o, there's this body pain I just can't explain, the pain stays in their joint, chest, it's like they will start feeling the pains all over like someone beat them with sticks, Its like a torment or some kind of tortue. Taofeek would cry every night before he went to bed, he would fall sick for days, there was no day he was ever ok. Funniest thing he was so intelligent, he would curse and curse his parents. He died while writing jamb. It was so sad. One of my bros friend too would borrow us PS1 CDs then, I aksed my bro he said he just died of sickle cell, I normally go cross my dog with a friend across the street, didn't know he was SS until he died. In a summary SS usually die at the end so what's the point in keeping the baby since the probability he's still gonna die. Why let him pass through the torture and pain .

I remembered while in sec school there was this sickle cell guy, our friend. He died in SS3 while writing jamb. The guy lived in pain all through his life, he wouldn't sleep every night, he was always sick with yellow eyes, walking as if he could fall at anytime. I bet it when your SS boy begin to suffer you would wish you aborted him. Do you want him to know his living on earth and pass through pains all his life? I have this my spiritual man, he's good with these things, I noticed my GF that just delivered was acting strange, she collected money for antenatal, childbirth etc from my hand, even for naming.
