Area4Area: Bring out the point where he did. His message was lost on so many of you, where did he say the SW didn't vote wisely? What then is your advice to the Yoruba in the face of all this? "Next time, this should serve as a lesson for them. In fact, it should serve as a lesson to Nigerians. The character of the people you are going to support should be a matter for thorough consideration before yourself and you people to the person." It's either you did not read this or can't make deduction. Thank you and have a blissful day. |

Area4Area: Look at some already bringing out their drums to dance about the statement.
What the man was saying is that Buhari doesn't need the votes of the SW since he's not going for reelection and since the SW doesn't have a 2/3 majority in the house, they can't impeach him, are these two points lies or is it because it's coming from a northerner? Is it that those already jubilating don't know these already or they felt that the statement was to spite the SW? Yes he sure did spite the SW for supporting GMB. Read it again and stop consoling yourself. His comment implicitly meant that the SW did not vote wisely period! |

Olominira: Ekiti has been doing that too. I think it's all about production capacity. I learned some state governments have to wait for a long time before getting delivery and wouldn't get them at once. The truth is that, Innoson needs funding for a rapid expansion.
Besides, as Nigeria economy continues to expand more auto makers would come in and fill the gap. However, Innoson has the opportunity to be dominant in West Africa region if he could cut its production costs and produce more affordable cars
As for people that are saying its vehicles are not strong, it is matter of time. There is a Chinese automobile called Dongfeng, if you see their first generation cars, hmmm, they were extremely terrible, you need to see their cars, SUVs, Sedan today even trucks. Same with Geely, BYD. These Chinese automakers are good designers today.
The likes of Toyota, Benz etc are just there at the top because of their brands and long-term experience. Innoson should be innovative in using names that are local and famous within Nigeria and Africa, using English names isn't cool. Names like Mandela, Zik, Awo, Abuja etc. In fact, he could make it an online challenge. He should also work on getting more investment and funding, partnership etc
To me personally, I think the Chairman of the company should have showrooms across major cities in Africa. From Abuja, Lagos, Ibadan, Accra, Johannesburg, Cairo, Kigali etc. Even if it's a room with one or two employees. Innoson needs to change it short and long term goals and fit in AfCTA. This is a great opportunity for him, unless he wants to become optional after the likes of big brands in the next 10 years. This is the most holistic contribution I have read so far. Innoson needs to see this. I doff my hat for your constructive analysis keep it up. You are a genius! |

Zhuhilat: Dear all
I and my husband are just 2years in marriage.
Every time we have issues concerning anything, he is always telling me to pack my things and leave his house or he will say things like you are off no importance to me and you bring me no value and stuff and stuff. But after a while he will apologize and say he doesn’t mean it.
Last month, what caused our fight was because my mum sent some food stuffs to us because she traveled and got them cheaply. He was angry because he felt that was disrespectful. And the argument degenerated to him telling me to leave his house,
i got tired, called his bluff and left the house but everyone advised me to go back and make it work., well except my dad. Mind you, this was the 5th time.
On my return, we talked about it(like we always do) and i thought it was genuine, and i said i was going to give it one more try.
Today, we had an argument because of baby food. I told hime to buy on his way back. I couldn’t go out because the whole road was terribly flooded .
But he didn't buy it, and that lead to an argument. And the next thing he told me was to fuc.k off and leave. Or he is leaving. As a matter of fact, he just left the house now 12:00am.
I am actually tired of it all. and right now, i don't think i have any love left for him or this marriage. I think he is cheating on me and for some reason i am beginning to look outside and crave attention, love and respect from someone else.
I don't want my child to grow up seeing me treated like this but most importantly , i don't want her to think it is okay to accept being disrespected and under valued like this.
Married people is this one of the challenges in marriage or what? Why cant we have an argument that doesn’t lead to leave my house, i dont need you, you bring me no value and all
Also we are very very comfortable, i work and he works too. Emotionally, i am done. If I may ask how old are both of you? |

Politics › Re: Junaid: North Will Remove Any President Who Attempts To Implement 2014 Confab by Oksman(m): 8:19am On Oct 10, 2019 |
nairavsdollars: Junaid Mohammed, elder statesman and Second Republic federal lawmaker was a delegate to the 2014 National Conference convened by the Goodluck Jonathan administration. In This interview with TEMIDAYO AKINSUYI, he spoke on why the recommendations of the conference can’t be implemented and other issues. Excerpts:
insecurity in their states, some governors have been negotiating with bandits and in some cases, giving them money. Do you think this is a right approach?
It is not. I believe it is a very dangerous trend. It shows that the governors are not sincere and they have underfinanced the security system even though they make billions of naira in the name of maintaining security. Essentially, they have been stealing the money which was earmarked for security. So, I don’t accept the idea of negotiating with bandits. It is a bad idea and I believe instead of paying off the bandits, they can finance the police and assist the DSS and other security organisations. It shows what will happen in the state if governors are allowed to set up their private policemen. It is going to be disastrous and make Nigeria ungovernable.
Some Nigerians are calling for the implementation of the 2014 national conference as a way of addressing some of the challenges facing the country. What is your take on this?
Those saying that, have they read the report? Has anyone of us who attended the conference told Nigerians what aspect we want to be implemented? I was at the 2014 national conference. I represented Kano state which is one of the two biggest states in the country. I had been involved in several conferences in the past and even after the 2014 conference, we also had another one here in Kano concerning the state. As far as I am concerned, that 2014 confab is a fraud. What they are purporting to be the report is a fraud. Most of the issues that we discussed which were rejected were brought back into the final report through the backdoor. They did that with the full cooperation of the then President Goodluck Jonathan. But we defeated every issue they brought even though we are in the minority. If you want to have a constitutional conference, one, it must be a representative of the whole country so that people don’t feel marginalised especially those who are in the majority in the country. The north has been in the majority in the country even before 1914. You cannot have a constitutional conference in which the North has been reduced to minority in the country and you say you are having a constitutional conference. And in spite of that,we still defeated them.
In fact, I want somebody from the South to become the President and attempt to implement the report of the 2014 conference; we will kick him out in no time. You cannot be a democrat and pretend that it doesn’t matter who are the people who constitute the majority in the country. Democracy in itself means credible free and fair election. Whatever we do, that principle must be represented. If they want to try it, let them try it. It is one of the gimmicks that Jonathan attempted but he failed. In fact, initially, the idea in the North here was that we should not attend the conference but we thought doing so may lead to the break-up of the country and we don’t want to be held responsible historically for that kind of very serious step. So, we went, we saw and we defeated them.
Do you think it is morally right for a northerner to aspire for the Presidency in 2023 after President Buhari must have completed his two terms if he survives the judgment of the Supreme Court?
What do you mean by morally right? Politics and morals are two different aspects of human endeavour. First and foremost, if you know my history, from the Second Republic, I have never supported the idea of zoning or rotation. Though many Nigerians accept the idea of zoning or rotation, I don’t. But at the same time, the South East has not accepted the principle. PDP accepted the principle because they want everybody to have the opportunity to steal public money. They want it to go round. If Nigerians are serious, if a party because of zoning should put forward an unpopular or unacceptable candidate, they should simply refuse to vote for him. But in a democracy, saying we should dedicate certain positions to some people in what is supposed to be a democratic free and fair election is wrong. https://www.independent.ng/north-will-remove-any-president-who-attempts-to-implement-2014-confab-report-mohammed/ This man is irrelevant in the scheme of things in the north, he is not in government and doesn't deserve the attention his is getting for heavens sake! He is politically dead and a noise maker every day north this and that. Those who make peaceful change impossible makes a violent revolution inevitable. |
